>>

how?

thats funny

the gov doesnt need to subsidize people playing guitar
>>
wtf I hate donald trump, president of the united states, now
>>
>>117372161
The art have become a bloated financial burden anyways.

I like the arts but for shits sake people only judge art on how much the suffering or money the artist has now.
>>
>>117372161
Bill Gates could replace the NEA with what he finds between his couch cushions. Now maybe he will.
>>
>>117372161

The "arts" are something the 1% can fund.
>>
>>117372161
Finally put that money to good use
>>
>>117372161
No one has heard of that agency or countless others getting axed. They have those cute cultural Marxist names so no one closes them or actually checks what they do in order to avoid backlash and they exist purely for embezzlement.
>>
>>117372161
Where is the pay off? I dont see any classical masters being churned out just twerking degenerates. Endowment for the arts didnt advance culture one bit and was a waste. It cant compete with the talmudvision and internet.

Free mass transit, like a ferry to the outer boroughs of nyc can do more for the arts than a $500k grant given to friends and acquaintances of the chairman of the NEA.

why should people need funding to perform or make art?
>>
>>117372161
>giving hippies money
>>
>>117373489
They don't, but the libtards will flip shit if you don't give them money to twerk and take retarded selfies and call it "art"
>>
we certainly do not need the government to fund 'the arts.' Artistic expression is all around us. Youtube is one big art exhibit. socialists bfto.
>>
>>117372758
NEA is kind of a big deal around university environments.

For instance, someone specializing in Nepalese anthropology might get a grant from NEA to study sky burial ceremonies.

Personally, I see its effects. It tends to go toward utter bullshit that no one really wants, though. I would urge artists to get endorsements / sponsors from fat cat investors. Art programs should teach marketing and business skills...

is "arts" codeword for sculptures of buttholes and abstract portraits of empty canvases?

I wish that is where the money is going but in reality it's being given to feminist who rub their period blood on a canvas.
>>
>>117373838
It's codeword for degeneracy and money laundering. Any real artist downloads LOOMIS books off the internet for free, anyway.

Building the wall is certainly a better investment of taxpayer money than paying the weed of some degenerate artist.

Pretty much. They use "humanities" classes to apply critical theory to white culture and talk about how bad we are.

The best artist had patrons which is how it should be. More competition. Its like music now anyone can make it and its all crap. When you had to compete to get a record deal it forced people to up their game.

Reminder that anti-wall autists are literally complaining about less than 1% of the budget being spent.
>>
>>117372161
liberals constantly attack and mock Drumpf, surprised and shocked when he starts cutting programs they benefit from.

just wait til he starts cutting funding off from sanctuary cities to pay for the wall as well.

Tbh i have to agree with getting rid of the nea
If your art can't survive in a free market, you should starve.
I don't want my tax dollars going to Piss Christ or Pussy Elephants or whatever the fuck leftists are doing these days.
