If you bought 100 bitcoins in 2011, youd be close to being a millionaire. Plus it's still climbing. If you're white, you should be investing

>>
>>144363604
Why would anyone invest in it? Why would businesses take it?

What can it do that cash, credit cards, or PayPal can't?
>>
>>144363604
I did some mining in a pool back in like 2012 out of curiousity. Didn't really have any interest in it until recently. I got my account and sent the coins back (like, a pretty small amount, around 40$, still pretty good for literally doing nothing).

I've been loosely playing with it on Bitterex in the last month. Increased 10% or so.

I don't see bitcoin as an alternative, but, it's a nice fad and if people are ready to pay for it, I don't mind making more and selling it later.

Gold has a history of being used as a currency and is coveted around the world as a precious metal. Bitcoin is just a string of numbers that is said to have value by a bunch of scammers and autists. It's value increasing as much as it has is indicative of manipulation. It was sub $300 at one point last year, now it's about $3000.

the reason that gold emerges as money across all cultures independently is because of its properties

There will be a cryptocurrency that will have all of the properties of gold and more.

That may not be bitcoin, but there has never been and never will be an opportunity like this again

gold is the best form of money because it is the most anti entropic material in the universe, this means all other forms of storing excess labour are inferior. For the first time ever there is a technology that has the potential to not only be the equal of gold but far exceed it.

crypto currency is the singularity, it is the philosophers stone, the world will be divided before and after the successful cryptocurrency but who knows which one it will be.

>>144366992
hyperinflation is just inflation that happens quickly, there are european countries that underwent austerity post 2008.
in 1913 one us dollar was pegged to 1500mg of gold through a series of new international monetary agreements and keynesian economics over the past centruy today the dollar buys about 25mg. This means the us federal reserve will not be able to print their way out of the next crisis without foreign countries dumping their us bonds and notes hyperinflating the us dollar. This process has already begun with china offering a yuan backed by gold and oil (april 29th 2016) and more countries and more countries starting to sell oil in yuan.

central banks have admitted to buying equity since 2012, the bond yield curve is nearly as flat as it was before 2008, we have the highest capital outlfows from stock markets since 2004, there is strong evidence that precious metal prices are being manipulated

In order to preserve your wealth you should buy precious metals and crypto-currency. the ratio of which tends to depend on your ability to understand cryptocurrency as this determines your perception of risk. you think crypto is a nonsense scam, good for you but don't be the guy holding us dollars in the next 2 years

Avoid Bitcoin look at some of the alternatives like etherium Quantum or dash>

The most important things to look for in a cryptocurrency are Scalability. Usability and how it's made. Avoid cryptocurrencies that waste unnecessary amounts of energy mining. Look for cryptocurrencies that are scaleable and that can serve a purpose. Make a broad portfolio don't put all your money in one cryptocurrency.

Also BUY Precious metals Especially silver.
>>
>>144363604
Crypto will be the future of currency.
That said, if Segwit2X doesn't come to pass and (((Core))) remain in control, I have my doubts that it'll be Bitcoin.
They're actively sabotaging its utility by keeping it's transaction throughput small. Even if Lightning Network comes along (at the moment, it's still vaporware that has to "gossip" to every other lightning node), 1MB will not be enough to handle a user-base of 250 million people as you still need to transfer on/off it via the mainchain.

Stocks are also stocks, not a currency.

Bitcoin isn't even suppose to be a currency, its just a transaction service, a decentralized service that would have no inherent value without many many many decentralized hubs, and the only way to get that much attention and that many hubs has to be incentivizing people, which is where this all falls apart as it aims to invent fucking money out of thin air for hashes. Superchink allegedly arbitrarily claimed his own first blockchain was worth a gorillion dollars based on zero backing whatsoever. No gold, no credit, no nothing, $0, ¥0, €0, £0, nothing.

It is literally make believe money and abuses the intent of bitcoin being a transaction service still dependant on actual money rather than memed invented values based on a b s o l u t e l y n o t h i n g

this is a fallacy, it doesn't matter what the price is it only matters if you think it will go up.

if bitcoin was 5k and you knew it would 2x in a year would you buy $100 worth?
>>
>>144373121
okay nigglet, its not a scam when my credit card gets charged for a purchase I didnt make to which I can then get my my bank to get my money back, nor is it a scam to get scammed at all with a shit product to which I intended to get my money back too.

You ain't gettin your bitcoins back no matter what, faggot. You spend them on something and that something turns out to not be what was described if not even delivered at all, and you have lost your bitcoin. No centralized service, no chargebacks, no customer support, you're just turboniggered, which everyone who doesnt buy bitcoin already knows and already knows you know it too cause the desparity of you retards trying to shill it to sell it and get rid of it is abundantly apparent in every post you make.

buy glass bottles and eat them on the corner of a street for pocketchange, or ge a fucking job.

Its not a scam its just an extremely illiquid 1.0 implementation of internet money. I would rather have a bunch of btc than not, but I'd be changing it into pseudo legal giftcards if I wanted to cash out. The major players in finance will bring the world their own version with the blessing of governments that could fuck btc at any point

a centralised crypto currency is not competitive with a decentralised crypto. Game theory shows you how there is no useful business model a bank can make out of a decentralised blockchain

If you're gonna invest in bitcoins seriously you should just invest in the miners and hardware for it, then even if you don't make money on the investment you can still resell the hardware for very little loss just electricity and second hand prices, you'll get like 70% back in worst case scenario, but takes effort and time.

>The middle man
Funny how every crypto requires middle men in form of miners isn't it. Also funny how this creates the intend to create miner monopolies. The whole decentralised narrative is a ruse only stupid half Niggers with no knowledge buy. The only thing that crypto tried to solve was the double spending issue, and even that it didn't solved.

The whole coin narrative is the same as the shekel narrative. If everybody uses it, it has a future. Well I guess you have to force people with guns to use your tulips, else there is no intend beside get rich quick scams
>>
>>144388602
you know fucking nothing. The whole point of bitcoin mining is to make the ledger uncorruptable and unchangable. Its not a middle man its a network There are other crypto 3.0 currencies like IOTA for example requires no miners with zero fees. im not buying in to get rich im buying into a new system.
>>
>>144389357
Banks are also a network with your definition of a network. come on Nigger. How heavily are you invested in that scheme?
>uncorruptable ledger
Kek, you are really a stupid motherfucker. Even Nakamota explained how the ledger can be corrupted. btw, what army is gone help you if the ledger gets corrupted by one of your the big nods in the network? Let me guess the other NEETs want accept confirmations from those nods. What stops them to come back under another name and do it again.
>I'm buying into a new system
That isn't backed by primary energy sources like the dollar or a slave pool like other national currencies. Coin fags, really, gtfo and advertise your shit somewhere else. Also, how many coins does MMM holds by now?
>>
>>144384199
What actually happens: the scammers who can reap the money (look to where BTC can be converted to hard currency, the exchanges) will cash out, and they release the identities of BTC wallet holders to give tax authorities someone to chase while they slip away.
