That panel will work for about 15 minutes and then burn your tent down with your children, wife, doggo and mistress inside.

I needed to tap a single aluminum rod and bought a Horror Freight tap and the aluminum stripped the tap.

Thankfully, I found a 1950s Craftsman Die & Tap set on Craigslist for $10. I can build Open J-Poles until the reindeer come home.

I would have been willing to pay $100 for a 50's Craftsman tap set. Thankfully, it was a faggot selling his dad's tools because he was some desk jockey and didn't know how to build shit or what the gear was worth. I ended up finding a box of 100 vacuum tubes (NIB) in the guy's garage and asked how much he wanted for them. He didn't know what they were so I offered him $15. I have made over $500 selling them on Ebay and Ham websites.

Of course, the one valve I needed for my Hellicrafter's S-85 wasn't in that box...

I used a Chinese drill once, I thought fuck it I just need 4 holes in a wall and then I will trow it out. When drilling the 3rd hole the batteries vented and I tossed it on my rug while panicking because it was like a fucking smoke grenade. IT BURNED MY FUCKING RUG a family heirloom in fact, it was old as hell and was made in the slav swag style.

Jesus, 100 watts for under $200? That's why we love solar now. It's actually becoming economically feasible.

Empires die when established powers try to hold on to old technology that they dominate and don't allow new innovation. We can't let that happen here.

I am laughing about this because I can see it happening. We broke an extractor tool tip off in an ENORMOUS hydraulic cylinder one afternoon trying to get the drain out the bottom. It was actually the drain plug on the main metal melt bucket at a steel mill...the main bucket. Cylinder was 3 stories tall. We welded over it to close it up lol.

Solar is only good for certain applications. The solar aircraft that are going to be used to supplement satellite communication are good. Using it to power a hunting lodge is good. Anywhere you can run a power line solar is fucking retarded.

Now motherfucking thorium on the other hand.
>>
>>144419116
I didn't expect it would vent like a motherfucker and catch fire. If you fuck up a drill the motor assembly melts not this shit, and it worked perfectly for the previous two holes.
>>
I run a small business and I have a lot of harbor freight shit. Some of it is good, some is okay, some sucks. Remember that a lot of "name brand" shit is made in China too nowadays. Just do your research.

I have two of these solar arrays setup on a shack I have on one of my properties. It works well for what it is, but you'll still need to buy a battery/inverter setup and solar still ends up being pretty costly. The only advantage is that it's off the grid so you can have power just about anywhere.

Yes, and I can also power zero refrigerators, zero furnaces, zero fans, zero televisions, zero cable boxes, zero routers, zero monitors, and zero desktop pc's. And I suppose I don't get to charge my laptop, tablet, or cellphone, either. Heavens forbid that I actually have more than one desktop pc, more than one monitor, more than one television, more than one cable box, more than one router, more than one laptop, more than one cellphone. How do we power a home for a family of four using solar? Does each family need to buy four acres of land upon which nothing but solar panels shall be built? Seems like it implies that we need to drastically reduce the global population on the order of billions of people.

Someone do the math. Eight billion humans on earth need solar power. How much power does a human require for modern living? How many square footage of solar panels are required to meet that power demand?

If cities and states actually had rebates and paid for excess electricity, it would be worth it. I keep seeing people saying a KW or whatever is $0.50 or less, yet no one is paying that. Set ups to actually power a home cost thousands and won't pay for itself for 20+ years.

The reason the answer is bullshit is because one of the first things an electrician learns is to calculate voltage drops on wiring.
>V = I * R
Just quoting a national estimate on what average electrical loss on the grid is useless to an electrician who have to be mindful of the length and gauge of wire they are using for all applications.

The true answer is the resistance is a variable, but the goal is as close to zero as possible.
