I'm trying to fing a video I watched few months ago and though you guys could help. It was a drone footage of rebels/jihadi fighters attacking some town. In the beginning there's a single tank going over railway tracks, shooting at buildings and few minutes later two or three APCs join the assault. The video then cuts to a headcam footage. I don't care much about video itself, but it had some really cool music playing in the background. Anyone knows that I'm talking about?

See this /sg/?

Now that Turkey has annexed this part Assad will never be able to reclaim it.

If you think Assad will ever declare war on Turkey you are deluded.
Assad will never reclaim Eastern Syria either. YPG has obtained natural borders, a large buffer area, oilfields and has a much better army.
Plus US support, that alone means Assad will never dare to fight them.

All in all Assad lost about 40% of his territory for good, and will only ever rule a tortured morsel of an ugly border.

What will happen to /sg/ when we decide we have had enough of the Kitty of Damscus and his silly games and we BTFO of him and his tyrannical, rotten, bloodthirsty and corrupt regime? Mass suicide? It wont take us six days this time, Damascus is only a 2 hour drive from Golan Heights,Assadkins better remember that if they ever get a suicidal idea to chimp out against us. So Assad will keep taking our airstrikes like the little bitch he is are and wont dare fight back lol. Must really suck being such an incompetent sandnigger dictator whos only good at killing helpless sleeping women and children with barrel bombs and sarin gas, but cowers when the mighty and noble IDF

Your scummy shitskin giraffe of a dictator will be thrown into the trashbin of history along with hitler where he belongs. Then you can latch on to King Roach or Ayatollah Unibrow as your next le Based Sandnigger Dictator xD

He's safe so far, problem is the financial situation.
I actually tried to help out a little, found a service called beeorder that allows to order syrian food. Their homepage says they accept paypal, so I tried it out with thirsty.
Ordered him some shit and at checkout there was no paypal. Just paying in person, after the order was placed.
Luckily they called him to confirm the order or he would've been pretty fucked.

But gearbest fucking works, which is a real turningpoint.
any of you fags want to send him some shit? was thinking about getting a throwaway paypal for this purpose, but idk. if people would be interested in financing /sg/s favorite streamer

Please. Turkey has so much influence among the green rebels they will carve through their territory like butter.
Half of them are officially in their pockets, the other half influenced by a huge network set up over the years.
>>
>>144431052
I think he refers to also learning from the mistakes. After all he said this:
>“It seems that we are having a hard time. We have to revise the doctrines actually because we are facing an enemy that is well entrenched and it is an urban fighting,” the president told Army troops in Fort Bonifacio.

>“It took us this long because the terrain has changed considerably. Maybe you’d want to take a look at seriously how Mosul, Aleppo and the rest of the territories are being taken now and how long it has been for them to do it,” he added.

Wasn't Mosul one of the first big battles where IEDs were practically found in every single house?
>>
>>144431461
Yeah and Turks have a status of guarantor in Astana which binds them to Russians and they can barely do a thing without agreement with Kremlin, even RuAF will support TFSA operations
>>
Why is RuAF helping Turkey if they're allied with Assad?
>>
>>144430875
Well that is one way of making natives of a conquered country compliant and dependant. But it didnt work did it.
>>
>>144431388

The paypal adress will be hafti@posteo.de , that way you know it's actually me.
>>
>>144431373
Wow that fucking nitpicking. The majority of the border with Assad is a large river. Their core territory is mountainous and allowed them to fight back ISIS in 2013-2014 while being the underdog.

Also nice addressing my other points asshole.

Eh, biometrics seems like a good way to verify IDs when existing paper documents may not be insufficient or there is a language barrier. To say it would be a pilot program to oppress people back home seems more like hyperbole, especially given all the information our government and corporations can collect from us already. It would be redundant.

The war in Iraq was a pretty fucked up experience, between the outdated Cold War logic and some sort of strange brew of neocolonialism/imperialism pushed by the Bush administration.

They're doing it to pull Turkey from US influence. The entire point of their intervention into the Syrian war, is to reduce the influence of US global hegemony, and increase Russia's sphere of influence in the region. You can meme all day about based Christians removing ISIS or based Assad but at the end of the day it's just a chess game and Syria is a pawn.

It just seems like they're trading ensuring a strong ally for two weakened allies because their motivations are directly opposed.

Honestly it couldn've been done any better I'm afraid. Maybe less bombing of unconfirmed civilians.
It was like that: emergency response division fights by day to get new position liberated, federal police steps in to secure it for the night while erd rests. If they're lucky - they fight for new positions, but if not, they have to fight for the same buildings all over again.
One thing they could do better is prepare better camps for refugees from the city, because it was often they had to ask neighbours "did you see him with weapon" etc. to determine if they're refugees or Islamic State, it was fucking tough battle really with stuff like women with small child on her hands being suicide bombers and shit.
>Why didn't they make Mosul the de facto IS capital then?

Holy I sure did miss alot of shit going down indeed. I can remember reading about how Western Mosul took a long time to capture due to the urban planning being over a century old or so, so it was very hard to orientate there as the streets were very narrow. In turn, this made it from difficult to impossible for armored vehicles to navigate there.

I feel like with Raqqa, Kurds and Coalition are just very impatient at capturing the city as fast as possible with no regards to potential civilian positions. All just to claim more land north of Euphrates after Raqqa fall.

>At least 100 European Isis fighters 'to be prosecuted in Iraq, with most facing death penalty'
Among those detained are Belgians, Russians and fighters from Central Asia

British fighters, including the notorious Mohammed Emwazi, also known as ‘Jihadi John’, were among them. He is believed to have been killed in a drone strike in Raqqa, Syria in 2015.

Mr Chlaihawi told Belgium’s RTPF there were around 1,400 family members of foreign fighters of suspected Isis members, including children, being held near Mosul.

>Many are reportedly from Turkey, and former Soviet countries in Central Asia, but there are also believed to be some French and Germans among them.

“We are holding the Daesh [Isis] families under tight security measures and waiting for government orders on how to deal with them,” Army Colonel Ahmed al-Taie told Reuters.

He added: “We treat them well. They are families of tough criminals who killed innocents in cold blood, but when we interrogated them we discovered that almost all of them were misled by a vicious Daesh propaganda.”

>Mr Chlaihawi told the broadcaster that Iraq was working with European governments to determine what should happen to them, but some did not want to receive them.

This short, stunning video shows how Iran has been training foreign terrorists in Iran and dispatching them across the globe; and it is doing it to date. Iran has caused the rise of ISIS, and remains the single most active state-sponsor of terrorism in the world.

The Annual report on terrorism by the United States Government has referred to Iran as the world's foremost state sponsor of terrorism in 2016. The United States says that Iran also employs foreign nationals. But how does Iran recruit? And how does Iran train its pawns to carry out its operations?

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, the IRGC, has its own extraterritorial arm, known as the Quds force, which is involved in military and terrorist interference in several countries in the Middle East and around the globe. The IRGC was established to preserve the regime’s dictatorship, which rests on suppression within Iran; the export of terrorism beyond Iran’s borders; and the Iranian program to manufacture a nuclear bomb.

>On 7 June 1981, at 15:55 local time (12:55 GMT), the operation was initiated. The Israeli planes left Etzion Airbase, flying unchallenged in Jordanian and Saudi airspace.[60] To avoid detection, the Israeli pilots conversed in Saudi-accented Arabic while in Jordanian airspace and told Jordanian air controllers that they were a Saudi patrol that had gone off course.[42] While flying over Saudi Arabia, they pretended to be Jordanians, using Jordanian radio signals and formations.[42][69] The Israeli planes were so heavily loaded that the external fuel tanks that had been mounted on the planes were exhausted in-flight. The tanks were jettisoned over the Saudi desert.[60]

>En route to the target, the Israeli planes crossed the Gulf of Aqaba. Unknowingly, the squadron flew directly over the yacht of King Hussein of Jordan, who was vacationing in the Gulf at the time.[70] Hussein witnessed the planes overfly his yacht, and noticed their Israeli markings. Taking into account the location, heading, and armament of the jets, Hussein quickly deduced the Iraqi reactor to be the most probable target. Hussein immediately contacted his government and ordered a warning to be sent to the Iraqis. However, due to a communication failure the message was never received and the Israeli planes entered Iraqi airspace undetected.[60

Russia is not a mediator to the Gulf crisis. Qatar is on the losing end, their economy is suffering from it and their precious world cup is likely going to be cancelled:

The World Cup meant a lot for Qatari elites. It was their attempt at world prestige and it's a very Asian thing to want that. It's why Dubai has the tallest building.

it's based on their business conduct, they get their return on investemt out of having prestige

Not really. Most people who'll go to the world cup will spend their time outside the stadium having fun in Dubai. There's nothing to do in Doha that interests soccer fans especially Westerners & South Americans.

It's mostly about prestige for the sake of it. It's a very cultural thing. It's hard to explain to a Westerner. Indians and perhaps Chinese understand this better.

why is ISIS still controlling Suknah and the road to Deir Ezzor? shouldn't SAA have BTFO them already? i guess they just don't have enough troops to secure that long supply line against desert incursion.

isn't Tal Rifaat under joint SAA YPG control? If Assad is reneging on that agreement he better hope the Turks actually finish the job or the Afrin kurds will be pretty pissed if they survive.
Also isn't city in the south like the second biggest in the canton? Seem delusional they'll take it
>>
>>144444022
Who knows but the overall intention more or less makes sense, to connect Idlib to the Euphrates Shield territory, thus creating a coherent state that Turkey can manage. Also it isolates and holds Afrin hostage, creating another bargaining chip.

In the beginning the Kurds were useful allies in their fight against ISIS. But then they had to go full Biji with the land grabbing. At first I though it was just until ISIS is defeated but then the referendum came and the Syrian Kurds started saying they won't withdraw from any conquered territory and that it was rightful Kurdish clay. That's even beyond Jew settler tier land grabbing, as you don't even care that you don't have any historic claim to it, they just stuck a flag in sovereign territory and called it theirs.
