When did the liberal lunacy start?
I remember democrats having valid arguments, I may not have agreed but at the very least they were somewhat based on reasonable moral grounds
>Gay marriage should be legal because dignity
>Unions are good for a select group so we support them
>Legalize marijuana because alcohol is legal
Not great arguments, but acceptable ones. Now it is 100% "Fuck the white people! Fuck the republicans! I like it because you don;t!"

What the fuck happened?
>>
None of those are acceptable
>>
>>155446286

This.

Bad arguments are always the tip of the spear. None of those are good arguments, yet they were accepted, so the left pushed for more.

All empires end Anon.
Some shorter than others.
Germany is not Germany anymore. GB is now The UK.
All things change, it's part of life.
All you can do is remember what actually worked and what didn't. In hopes that the next empire will not make the same mistakes. Eventually they will have their own issues and the cycle continues. It's literally evolution on a societal level.
>>
The left have had their way for so long that their talking points have become more and more bizarre, and less based on any moral ground, as you said.

Id love to pin it down to a date. 90's? Blair was (is) a cunt
>>

The last one is.
Alcohol is much more dangerous than cannabis, and no one would think of criminalizing its consumption because that would be idiotic.
>>
>>155446771
>The last one is.

No, it isn't

>A is bad but legal this means B should be legal too because its not as bad

Weak argument, it works better for ALCOHOL being illegal than Marijuana being legal

This. Whatever side is the counter culture will be forced to form better and better arguments while the side that has grown complacent and used to a comfortable hold on power will grow complacent and retarded

So, a Roy Moore statement speaks for the entire party? Do you realize how fucking stupid and intellectually dishonest you sound? I'm sure I could find some outrageous and out of line comment from someone one the Left. But then saying that comment is how your entire party feels would be lying. He wasn't even elected. God, you people and your need to lie to win is pretty pathetic.

>One man

There's been thousands of controversies involving white evangelicals throughout the years and the vast majority are complicit in this behavior. They've become hypocrites. They've lost the moral high ground on every issue.

>Don't support gay marriage
>Get caught fucking gay prositutes in your office

>Don't support unions
>But churches should be able to make political donations, not pay taxes, and be involved in the state

>Against Marijuana
>Largest group addicted to opioids

The list goes on. The truth is, younger liberal people just don't give a damn about your virtue signalling. They know you're full of shit. You're unable you see these flaws or your simply blinded by cognitive dissonance, so You interpret this all as "liberal lunacy".

The left does not have ideology or values, instead they latch onto individual wedge issues. This is why they never seem to get anything done; they need to keep these wedge issues around in order to be relevant.

Every recent and major "win" for the left has been because of a supreme Court ruling. We have unsegregated schools, openly available abortion, and now same sex marriages not because of heroic Democrat lawmakers but instead from the court.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obergefell_v._Hodges

This is where it all changed. With same sex marriage now 50 state legal there is nothing left to fight for, so all there is left is stuff to fight against. They are grasping for feverishly for relevance and since they have no guiding philosophy it's ham fisted, clumsy and aggressive.

>So, a Roy Moore statement speaks for the entire party?
this little gem went out in public and GOP supported him non the less. Trump supported him. Pence supported him. Bannon supported him. The fact that he wasn't elected doesn't change the fact that had he won he'd be praised by the GOP - a man wishing to abolish the voting rights of some 57% of voting age Americans.

And then Nikki has the gall to go and preach about Iran, Syria, NK, etc. while people who hate the vast majority of their countrymen are supported by the party in power. Sad as our Great Leader would say.

> Republicans are the architects of all the political hatred and gridlock in this country going back to 1994.
>They are the root cause of all our problems.
Except they are not. Republicans views on things have barely changed during the last few decades, and the western world has not been destroyed from the inside during that time. No, the downfall of the west that we can observe at the moment is the result of AMERICAN DEMOCRATS changing from (as OP said) people with reasonable arguments to absolute and utter morons parroting concepts from modern Leftist Identity Politics and Intersectional Feminism. Just a few years ago i was sympathetic to US Democrats, and didn't like the "narrow" (compared to the values i was used to) mindset of US Republicans that much - but nowadays the roles are more than reversed. Not because Republicans changed, but because Democrats became batshit crazy. You know how you create political hatred? By teaching "women and minorities" that they are suspect to oppression and hatred initiated by the evil white cis man for so long that they actually believe it. You know how you create even more hatred? Have those brainwashed people attack white cis men for simply being born white cis men, and create a huge amounts of tension from both sides. Rings a bell? No? Then maybe you should visit one of your local college Campuses. Not the STEM departments, of course, but the Social "Sciences" and liberal Arts departments, which are almost completely filled with Democrats, and currently giving birth to more hate and hateful theories (under the disguise of "science") than even Nazi Germany could have managed to during the height of it's short lived reign. In fact, some of the respected Literature used in Gender- and African Studies sounds remarkably similar to the "Rassenlehre" literature created by Nazi pseudo scientists (a subject which everyone could study, no matter how dumb due to the lack of strictness - just as it is with Gender Studies).

>There is little consensus on the precise beginning of the Age of Enlightenment, though the beginning of the 18th century (1701) or the middle of the 17th century (1650) are often used as epochs. French historians usually place the period, called the Siècle des Lumières ("Century of Enlightenments"), between 1715 and 1789, from the beginning of the reign of Louis XV until the French Revolution. If taken back to the mid-17th century, the Enlightenment would trace its origins to Descartes' Discourse on the Method, published in 1637. In France, many cited the publication of Isaac Newton's Principia Mathematica in 1687.[132] It is argued by several historians and philosophers that the beginning of the Enlightenment is when Descartes shifted the epistemological basis from external authority to internal certainty by his cogito ergo sum published in 1637.[133][134][135] As to its end, most scholars use the last years of the century, often choosing the French Revolution of 1789 or the beginning of the Napoleonic Wars (1804–1815) as a convenient point in time with which to date the end of the Enlightenment.

the left demonize smoking cigs to the degree that second hand smoke allegedly kills but cars are all over the streets and you dont see them with gas masks on.

they are the most uninformed idiots on the planet who praise themselves for being brave and intelligent. its like shit straight out of biblical accounts of the end of days

the voters didn't support him - the GOP did eventually throw its full weight behind him, a man yearning to abolish the voting rights of the majority of our compatriots.

you can take your little anecdotal evidence and *everyone I know thinks like me* bs, but it won't change the fact that GOP as a party desires to significantly reduce the constitutional rights of everyone who isn't their voter base. When you ask yourself how is it possible that someone would rather support a party that's fighting for tranny rights, remember that most people would prefer seeing dudes in ladies' bathrooms than having their wife, daughter, next door neighbor (or eventually themselves) being allowed to vote, own property or w/e. see >>155450490 ; >>155450701

>>155451129
you know how conservatives use the: today it's gay marriage, tomorrow they'll push for pedophilia. well this is the same line of reasoning - he who'd deny one group basic human, constitutional right would deny other groups. something that's been advocated for in this very thread. history is full of such examples and I for one wouldn't want the likes of Roy Moore, Trump or Paul Ryan to hold that kind of power over me.

it was originally leftists that began the moral crusade of holding people to their own standards. conservatives failed to conserve anything so conservatism deserved to die. now in an ironic twist of fate, the left positions of egalitarianism, internationalism, materialism, are being torn apart when those same leftists are forced to hold those positions. it is the radical far-right that rejects all of this. it is the radical right that has stepped over the prospect of even engaging these pathetic ideals. like christianity, the left has made itself irrelevant through its own design.

To answer your question honestly, anon...
Liberal lunacy began soon after the end of the Cold War. Bush Sr. and Clinton were identically globalist, and neo-cons and neo-libs are the same. As soon as liberals didn't have an opposition (and there wasn't a conservative party) they had already won. They offered trite arguments until they realized they didn't HAVE to. Why bother constructing an argument when you don't have to?
They weren't expecting Trump to win; though Trump isn't remarkably conservative either.
>>
>>155451658
You're so dishonest and brainwashed coherent debate is impossible. Everything you say is exaggerated and then you walk it back a little. Then you say something else exaggerated and then walk that back a little. The entire GOP did not support the man. Most of them said they will let the voters decide. I think you're a bit delusional or like I said earlier just flat out dishonest.
>>
>>155451658
And I never said, "everyone I know thinks like me." This is what your Ilk does. They set up a false assumption assigned to the person they disagree with and then stand back and point at the person saying, "see what he believes... see how disgusting he is." Meanwhile the whole argument is based on a lie. That's you.
>>
>>155452553
coherent debate is impossible because your entire argument is: durrr you're being dishonest.

RNC did support him, on State and National level. Trump strongly supported him and held a rally for him before the elections. Only the likes of Romney and McCain (who was always a man of integrity) stood up and loudly and clearly denounced him. I backed up all my claims with sources.
