Water in the US is abundant but the clearest, cleanest, purist water is actually pretty scarce and this exactly the water that Data Centers require, why? Because the technology in the liquid cooling systems has mesh screens that are near the contact point of the units and the cooling system and if those mesh screens get clogged then there is potential for leaks. Most data centers are building the pipes to the cooling units above the servers to save money and time, if they leak they leak directly on top of the servers destroying many billions of dollars worth of tech. The water that these data centers require has to be the cleanest possible water, and then they filter it again themselves and then the water is even mixed with 25% alcohol to prevent things from growing inside of the pipes. The issue isnt that they need absurd amounts of waterThe issue is that they need absurd amounts of the cleanest drinking water in the nation! This is why the only practical solution that wont result in water shortages is building the data centers in spaceThat way you have unlimited solar power for energyAnd you don't need liquid cooling because you are in space and can freely regulate the temperature whenever you want
>you don't need liquid cooling because you are in space and can freely regulate the temperature whenever you wantNo retard. You're in a vacuum in space so the only way to dump head is by thermal radiation, which is vastly less efficient than conduction or convection. This is why they use vacuum bottles to keep liquids warm or cold.
It's fucking gay and retarded. We would all be better off doing it organically, like the matrix.
>>535589414Soon we will be getting notices in the mail from the water company stating that they will be turning off your water because the company is no longer servicing residential customers.
>>535589414the construction process is what requires a lot of water. i've been in dozens of data centers and never even seen one that uses liquid cooling on the racks themselves. it seems like it would make it a nightmare to swap out hardware.
>>535589835You have been in OLDER data centers that used fans.Every data center built the last several years (since 2022) is using liquid cooling because its the only option as fans alone do not keep the temperature in check.
>>535589414the real question is why do they need these huge data centers? Its not for making slop memes. Its for monitoring us around the clock. Its for the techno dictatorship.
>>535590066CorrectThe panopticon mass surveillance state is being built in real time
>>535589414I don't fucking care.Keep your shitty data mines, child sweatshops, and lithium mines in bugland. I want my national parks and wildlife, kikes.Sorry if that means less numbers in you computers.
>>535590066idk. it's too narrow. they have been doing it already. the free and open see of the net is dead is what it is. they see how much modern tech fried peoples brains, they see Ted was right and this is an attempt to course correct by taking full control, instead of letting people be people. because if you're left to your own devices, you will self destruct. that is your nature as a man. and if my theory is true, then there is a strong argument that they're right to do what they do but also most likely they will just abuse it, and then we too will build anti suicide nets
>>535590134wtf is this
>>535589414>This is why the only practical solution that wont result in water shortages is building the data centers in spaceImagine storing your data in the cloud and some random ayys steal it. No thanks hombre
>>535589414I say force them to build their own energy infrastructure and desalination plants before the centers are allowed to go online.Americans shouldn't pay the price so that Jeets can generate their free slop and flood the internet with it.
>>535589414>muh Data CentersNone of this garbage will *ever* be built.AI is by orders of magnitude the greatest __financial scam__ in the history of human civilization.Global bond market has been on the brink of total implosion for three years running, this 'AI' hype is the last great cash grab. >>535589414>And you don't need liquid cooling because you are in space and can freely regulate the temperature whenever you wantRetard alert!
>>535589414remember in deus ex when the morpheus ai says “humans demand to be observed judged and punished, it was the primary purpose of all gods. all other thoughts about gods were considered secondary”>”before, you had religion for this purpose, then you had fame (the judgement and observation of others), and now you will have me, i will be your god, and you have made me with your own hands, from need”
>>535589414then they should build reverse osmosis plants and distill their own wateranyway, people are going to revolt over this
>>535592463>Americans shouldn't pay the price so that Jeets can generate their free slop and flood the internet with it.

>>535589414Yeah musk is building one in my city, since we have a giant underground revisor of pure, fresh water. It’s absolutely dystopian
>>535589414It's very difficult to regulate temperatures in space Anon. Venting means there's limited number of venting until you can't anymore. It's be easier to have chips that just don't get hot, like chips that read from photons instead of electrons would drastically reduce the power needed meaning a much cooler system.
>>535590066Ok let me explain it for you because I think I know why.Think about the Ukrainian war. The Ukrainians claim Russians use around 8-9 thousands suicide drones a day, long range short range all range. There are also non suicide observer and other drones being used. Each of them has a camera. Each of them sends video back. Especially the long range drone may fly above something important here and there, but to find it you have to sit through hours of them flying above empty ground. Ukrainains are probably proportional in that. There's also satellite data booths sides have(Russians have their own plus probably Chinese, Ukrainians have US) etc.To analyse it you need hundreds if not thousands of people and many many hours... Or an AI model. If we assume that future warfare will only have more drones and more cameras then the ability to quickly analyse the footage will become a crucial way of increasing your combat capability. However building up the infrastructure to do that is beyond anyone's budget - last year just the datacentre construction, equalled about 3% of the US GDP, which is roughly equivalent to their military spending. If the investors get conned to spend it all and build the infrastructure that in "critical situation" can be used for military then that's a way to get an asset without investing in it.Basically what it's needed for is rapid information processing.

>>535589414They could spend more money on alternative cooling methods which wouldn't include water at all, but you know they wont.It all comes down to $$$
>>535594205Wild lands Project.
none of you corrected the OP?actually think about what what he said and if it makes sense. you might even have a liquid cooler in your PC. the cooling loop doesn't need new fresh water. it's a closed system.the cooling tower itself does need to be resupplied with water because the water evaporates. and it does need to be pretty clean because it will scale up over time otherwise. but this is downstream of the actual cooling loop.
>>535589414If you distill water you automatically have some of the cleanest purest drinking water in the nation.Spring water is actually better for you anyway.
