How do I raise dopamine without watching fapping it to porn or playing vidya?

Methods I've tried:
>kratom
good, but not sustainable, eventually you will get addicted and you will be taking it only to feel normal. Still good on special occasions though. Also lowers libido, which can be a good thing or a bad thing.

>exercising meme
while true, not something I see myself doing every day due to time and possible injuries and over training issues.

>adderall
nope

Dopamine is the cure to being a NEET, if you suffer from low dopamine you will not have any motivation to do anything and you will have a much harder time remembering and learning new things.

How do I biohack myself into not being a miserable piece of shit and what other hormones or neurotransmitters should I be aware of that are involved in feeling like shit or feeling great?

Healthy relationships, exercise in a social setting, fasting.

this

alternatively, you could try the Wim Hof method or just start taking cold showers
>>
>>10062142
>fasting
does it actually increase your dopamine somehow, I was under the impression it just made you healthier and stuff like that, since fasting is not exactly an enjoyable experience
>>
>>10062174
idk but when im depressed i naturally fast to cope
>>
>>10062160
What the hell does this do?

>>10062169
What do cold showers do?
>>
>>10062192
>What do cold showers do?
THEY MAKE YOU COLD NIGGA
>>
>>10062192
It uh.... raises your dopamine...?
>>
>>10062174
No fasting benefits found from animal trials have been reproducible in human trials except for heightened awareness, from your body wanting food, and lower cancer spread rates (that Jumpstart beyond normal rate of change rates after breaking fast).

>what other hormones or neurotransmitters should I be aware of that are involved in feeling like shit or feeling great?
Serotonin, you dumb faggot. It's much more relevant in feeling happy. Dopamine is more like pleasure than happiness.

>How do I biohack myself into not being a miserable piece of shit?
I don't buy your "not having enough time to exercise". Understand that your body is made to run, and your brain will reward you for doing it. Consider just giving your brain what it wants before looking for hacks. It's going to be tough to cheat millions of years of natural selection with a drug: if it was all upside, it likely would have been incorporated into the brain's chemistry in the first place.

Fasting-induced euphoria is well documented.

OP, I have been dealing with your exact dilemma. There is something (I hypothesize) that bothers you deep down. Something nagging you at the core of your existence. Something that you've always wanted to do but never could find the time/motivation/etc. My advice is to find out what that is... it will take a long time (can't say I've exactly found it myself, but I can say I feel as if I am coming closer to it). It will be tough, grueling, and complicated. But once you find it, or at least found a path towards it... life's bullshit will become a lot more tolerable. Cheers.

Taking cold showers is legit good advice. While the feeling is less now than when I first started, I still feel like I could wrestle a gorilla every time I finish a cold shower. It also has a bunch of health benefits, like improved skin, can help with depression, increases testosterone, better circulation, etc. It's not magic, but generally helpful.

Lmao I don't think your fat ass has to worry about this any time soon. Get out of chair, tubby.

Nononono.

Internet, porn, and vidya are bathing your brain in dopamine. You are essentially developing a tolerence. If you remove these sources of dopamine, you will be forced to do other activities that release dopamine. Namely: satisfying hard work, real sex, personal relationships, winning, etc.
>>
>>10064939
To continue:
You may have to wean yourself off dopamine slowly. You're essentially an addict, so you can even go through withdrawals.

Once you've removed the unproductive activities that are triggering your bodies natural reward mechanisms, you will have to be productive to be rewarded.
>>
>>10064963
So are you supposed complete get rid of the internet, porn and vidya or will a few days a week without be enough?
>>
>>10065016
can a crack addict take one more hit?
>>
>>10065025
They can smoke crack moderately and not be an addict
>>
>>10065031
there you go
>>
>exercise daily
>avoid sugar
>8 hours sleep
>meditation
>cold showers (30c starting then end with 20c for 2 minutes)
>>
>>10065855
oh also abstain from porn and alcohol and most drugs but all of this wont do much if you're unhappy because you're unemployed and never go outside
>>
>>10062129
Mucuna pruriens.
Theobroma cacao + kava.
>>
>>10062174
Couldn't explain any mechanisms but, for me, after about 16hr (including sleep) of fasting I start to feel good. Nothing crazy but mainly just the heightened awareness as others have said and it could be partly placebo from thinking I'm doing something beneficial. Cold showers are good advice too, even if for nothing other than willpower.

Then you have only yourself to blame, humans wither physically and mentally without regular physical activity.

Other than that: eat proper and balanced diet (no excess fats or sugars), socialize in the real world as much as possible and first of all DITCH EXTREMELY HARMFUL SOFT DOPAMINE LOOPS FROM YOUR LIFE. This means deleting all social media accounts or atleast limiting yourself to 1 or 2 visits a day and throwing your smartphone to the garbage bin. If you are too accustomed to QoL features of smarthphones, like i am, atleast leave it at home whenever possible and try to actively suppress the urge to fondle it. I found 10-pushup-"debt" for every look at smartphone to be a decent carrot to minimize its usage initially.
Another important factor is finding hobbies that you are truly passionate about, like playing an instrument. Having a job is a great bonus since it opens up a ton of options when it comes to hobbies.

Dopamine is not reward signal in our brain.
It is more of a reward prediction error
>>
>>10062129
This is pseudoscience. Just go to the gym
>>
>>10062129
Try peganum harmala.

Psychopath here. Proven by brain scans. As you already know psychopaths tend to have higher amount dopamine, but that doesn't mean that I will study my ass off day in day out. I was just lucky enough to be born with considerably high IQ, thus I didn't have to study much for my applied maths BSc and financial engineering MSc. I got my degrees from shit universities anyway. I repeated so many subjects either due to not studying at all or being coked out of my mind so much that I just didn't care about the exams. Aside from those, I inherited a fair amount welth from my family which I invested into real estate. Basically, all the dopamine I have, all those IQ points I have are just rubbish. What you need is wisdom.

honestly i do kratom about 4 times a week and dont have withdrawal symptoms when I taper off for longer. But yea once i did it 11 days in a row and when i went off it i got weird chills, nothing major or that bad though
