What is the science behind homosexuality? I really want to understand and /pol/ isn't doing it for me. I want all the sides/angles.

like 90 pages long. tldr?

It's just a long list of "dude we don't know lol" and correlation studies.

>>9214215
Why don't you ask an actual question?
>>

>Why don't you ask an actual question?
Is homosexuality an actual thing or is it just a fetish?
>>

My money is on "an actual thing"

fruit flies aren't a perfect model for everything, but they have specific genes that get spliced differently depending on sex, and if you accidentally get the wrong splice the sex behaves differently. Males try to court Males, females try to court Males & Females. Try looking up the "fruitless" gene for drosophila on PubMed if you wanna know more.

Humans don't have significantly many more genes than lots of animals, but we do have more sophisticated regulatory mechanisms. I don't think for us that it's as a simple Splice A vs Splice B, but there's a natural basis for this behavior. If our functions come from all this intense regulation, a mistake in that regulation can cause an unusual phenotype. A problem that occurs in something like this is not always too pronounced (maybe there are intermediate phenotypes, like you could behave slightly-off for your sex, like bi-curious), but could conceivably be part of it.

Epigenetics are important too. This is what people say when they mean "environment." It can mean exposure to certain chemicals, but I think some folks also give it Psychological context (but I don't know shit about Psychology, so...).

Basically, DNA can be read differently depending on chromosome-protein arrangements, where your genes may or may not be accessible to transcription. So, you could have the gene for Proper Male Heterosexual Behavior #1 of 9, but it's locked away by condensed chromatin, so even if you're not a mutant you might be a little gay.

But I'm making plenty of assumptions here, so, I dunno

reading this back after posting I realize I am way too tired to be writing shit, sorry if it's confusing.

Just check out published science thingies

Who cares. Gays are degenerates. They will never have a family or children. Sucks to be them.
>>

Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
Genetic engineering is gonna screw you.
>>

No one knows you faggot, it depends a lot on definitions...
Sociology is a shit science to explain things, the opinion of a sociologist means less then shit, most of their studies is flawed as fuck

To psycology is a fetish, totally made by nurturing (as you can see, gay people usually have an unique sets of parents)

There are some studies which show correlation betwen genes, but correlation in genes does not mean shit if not perfectly explained... for example hardcore alcoholists will have common genes, because nurture will make so...
Drink enough and you will evolve to better deal with alcohol, so a set of behaviors can unleash certain genes and create a correlation, but the genes in this case are a simptom not a cause.

In evotion and biology it makes no sense, and fags should die to prevent the degenerancy to spread, as total homos can't reproduce

>but other species have faggots

But we are one of the few(if not the only) who does sex for pleasure.

In neurology the feel is more like, dude your brain is wired incorrectly therefore nurture, we still don't have ways of fixing without making a people retarded but we might, soon

Sisters of homosexual males have more kids than average, which suggests that some genes may give an advantage to one gender and a disadvantage to the other.

Wrong. Skin cell -> stem cell -> egg and sperm cells.

Tbh, would be interesting to see a selfed baby.

They yearn for death.
Wasting their own perfectly good gene-seeds.
This world is not good enough for them so they delude themselves with fantasies that ultimately lead to wastefulnesses. Unless they are wizards. In which case they usually have outsmarted the whole sex game. Somehow.

I have heard this before, and it seems like total bullshit.

Do you really think a stallion is thinking "I'm gonna fuck that mare so I can make more horses."?
>>
>>9216232
Yes it is, it's a stupid term. Homosexual = homo = man Latin. Or same Greek. Phobic = strong fear or dislike. So = fear of same or fear of man. Dumb term.
>>
>>9215127
Why would you come to /sci/ to talk semantics?
>>
>>9218056
Further, most people against homosexuality are not actually afraid of it. They don't like it, but it doesn't scare them. This whole X-phobe trope is liberal bullshit. The message is basically "Conservatives are only against things out of naive fear, liberals are so much more advanced." That's why they throw around terms like homophobe, islamaphobe, and xenophobe so much.
>>
>>9218151
Phobia also means hate, Anon
>>
>>9218546
Now. It used to solely refer to fear.

The problem with that study is because they're flies it's difficult to know if they're courting on purpose or by mistake. Frogs have a special croak to let the frog trying to fuck them know they're a dude.
>>
>>9218890
I see. So you are arguing that it is okay for a homosexual to be a homosexual, but he needs to repress those feelings and make sure that they never turn into actions. Okay.

But what is the reason why a homosexual should not act out his homosexuality? Why should he repress it? What argument do you have for that?

No, he fuck her because he's in heat.

>Further, most people against homosexuality are not actually afraid of it.

Yeah they are, they say they're not, but they are. There is a gay manager at my job and some of my colleagues literally get upset being in the same room with him like they think they're going to "catch the gay plague" or something if they go near him. Their fear manifests itself as anger and disgust, but they are clearly very uncomfortable because at the root of it they're scared.

Islamophobia is also real. Islam is an oppressive Ideology and I'm scared about what its effects will be on the future of Europe.
