i remember i used to download all my music and movies through torrent but from the point that the pirate bay was deleted all the music and movies torents started disappearing. and it was then that i moved to downloading from blogs and shit like that. my question is:
where do you find good torrents these days and is there an organized site like pirate bay used to be?
>>
piratebay
>>
Golden age over mang

Not so ez anymore too many fake sites swept in copied the trackers and are full of spyware

I still use tpb

RuTracker for a good selection of music/movies/everything else
KAT for some music releases not available above

Rutracker, TPB, rarbg.

While we're on the subject of sources for torrents.
I've got a few RSS for ponies and star vs evil, and they're really convenient b/c I don't have to look for a torrent on mystery website to find content that may or may not have enough interest to be seeded.
When a new episode is uploaded, the RSS downloads it automatically for me and I have a piping hot new episode to watch.
All that being said.
I haven't found many RSS for ongoing shows that I'm interested in.
Am I just catching the wind of a past practice or am I not looking hard enough?
TL;DR Does anyone else use RSS torrents, and where do they get them?

Best place to be is private trackers, more and better content plus you won't get logged by copyright blackmailing lawyers if that's a problem in your countries. The best way to get in there in my opinion, is to buy a seedbox for a couple of months (feralhosting and whatbox are easy) that way you can build up a good ratio, go on the power user forums and ask for invites to other private trackers.

Of the public tracker indexes, rutracker is the best now afaik.
>>
How do you check whether your proxy is working? I used TorGuard and it just gave me an "error" next to tracker status.
Also, may it be that not all proxies are capable for Torrent clients? Because I'm just using those on hidemyass.

Thanks in regards.

Nyaa for all things Asian, which for me is anime, manga and Japanese music. Most of my DLs are of Japanese stuff

SoundPark (the dot suffix changes frequently) for music. Russian site, but most of it is in English.

ThePirateBay for The Walking Dead - literally the only thing I download that isn't either Japanese, music, or Japanese music.

I use TMS - Torrent search, extension for chrome, it integrates so I just need to type "tms name of what im searching for" into the address bar.
Dosnt find rare staff obviously, but for casual torrenting it is fine.
It seems you can improve by adding more trackers manually, but I never bothered with that.
That aside: if my client is set up like this pic - will it be able to DL 5 torrents and UL 5 Other torrents at the same time, assuming downloading ones got no leeches?

After doing some research it seems everyone's just saying the one they use is the best. I can only tell you that deluge is a buggy piece of shit.
>>
>>771766
Deluge has everything I could ever want in a torrent client forever and it can't run 800+ torrents without being a slow, cpu hogging, crashing, whorebitch. It's fucking unfair.

and qbit is just plain worse the 2.2.1 when using windows so idk.
>>
I give up i just buy things
These fucking "we pirates are the elite and so mysterious and private" is fucking stupid.

It's a shame that there is no amazon prime for all animes
>>

nyaa.se went down a while back, got another source?
>>
>>771819
You are what is wrong with the torrenting community
>>
>>771776
How is qbit worse than µT 2.2.1?
I know of the higher RAM-usage, the stalled-meme - but for me and quite a lot people it is just running fine.
Might aswell use Tixati? As long as you do not use private trackers of course.

Imo Deluge has some serious bugs to be fixed, e.g. loading a torrent with thousands of files takes up hours literally, while qBittorrent is even faster than current versions of µTorrent.

It's really stupid but from what I've been told, pantsu is the /g/ created replacement to nyaa. .si is a replacement created by big name subbers like horriblesubs generally so they can prioritize their own subs and push out the smaller sub groups that compete with them. .si got pretty autistically enraged at pantsu not just immediately yielding and letting them control the anime torrent market so their shills flock over here (mainly /g/) and promote .si at the true replacement to nyaa, when anyone with half a brain in their skull clearly knows it would be better for everyone to have 2 functioning torrent sites so something like nyaa's demise won't affect the community that hard again.

Its a meta searcher spanning lots of sites.
Rutracker for music.
Cyro.se for movies and tv shows.
Might get back into demonoid as it seems to be running well again after it's death in 2011 or whenever.
Torrents.me i think is another torrent meta search.
Qbittorrent inbuilt search is absoloutely fantastic for basic or mainstream things. I rely on rutracker for obscure things because it seems to have a older database covering a large swath of content that has been swatted at over the years with sites going down. It fills the gap the btjunkie demonoid piratebay and kickass torrents left/leave when they go down.

This is; in général & simple.
Torrentfreak dot com has the latest news on sites taken down. And top sites list (top 10) that are currently operational. Also top VPN clients (which kinda changes all the time)
You look for:
#1 no logs
#2 DNS leaksProof
# webRTC leaksProof (can fix it manually in browser)
#form of payment.
Or write your own variables using openvpn for free
Same with the SSH tunneling
Most torrent sites with forums offers a list of best current trackers.

pornolabs has limits? Any other good porn trackers like pornolabs btw, preferably with previews.

Download only from verified seeders, why would you read comments and ignore 12yo.

Go to TPB, locate torrent you want and download it, you don't need anything else from there.

Ofc if you are USA/germany/brit use VPN or get invite for some private tracker.

The domain switches constantly so it's a bit of a task to keep finding it.

>>

The America part is bullshit. I've torrented a lot of anime and old games from various sites, along with other shit and I've gotten 0 legal notices. I think that only holds true if you seed a lot and even then things that are popular (like GoT) are more likely to make you receive legal notices, and even then it's unlikely.

Are there any free options for hiding my IP when torrenting?

From what I've read TOR can't actually do it, usenet costs money, vpns costs money or are only free because they sell your info and i2p is super slow but will hide your torrents.

First you need to install a torrent program on your computer (a so-called "client", like utorrent). Then you download the torrent file from a site like piratebay and open it with your client program. If there are still people who have this file on their computers who are seeding it then you can download it from their computers onto yours. But DON'T download the latest movies and music files, those are the ones most likely to be monitored. My rule of thumb is they should be at least a year old.

>>
>>791084
Doesn't matter where you get the torrent from, what matters is what you download and how you protect yourself (VPN/seedbox/etc).
>>
All the bigger sites nowadays feature the same torrents basically. If you compare TV torrents for tpb, 1337x and rarbg for example they are 99,9% the same torrents all the time.
The problem is not the few remaining sites but that less and less content is being uploaded. It is the same mainstream shit on all sites. KAT was the last huge site where you could constantly find decent stuff from all other categories.
>>
>>791109
Which most of them have costs to use. If I have to pay to torrent I might as well just buy the movies/games I want to pirate.

You shouldn't have to since VPN is setup on devices and isn't really tied to a network/provider.
