Hey guys, Ive never in my life tried digital painting but I want to try it, what software should I use?

Halleluja to Jesus, you guys might be the best.
>>777287 (OP)

i'm speechless! Thank you guys!
Photoshop is great for that. You can easily find a cracked version on the Internet.
A good free option is Krita if you don't want to buy/pirate Photoshop. I
f you're into anime/manga I also suggest Manga Studio (but that one isn't free)

Nonsense. I came her looking for vilppu.
I Draw Girls collection won't start :(
The rest are excellent, though!
Now that you mention it, it won't start to me either.

I already have a collection of I Draw Girls, which include the 2012 Gold Collection (that I can't seem to find it now), so I created a torrent for you guys:
Mind you it's the first time I create a torrent so please if there's anything wrong tell me.
Glad I could help, happy learning! c:
the torrent works but it's really slow

getting about 50kb/s down
Yea, sorry about that. My internet in this house is kinda bad, and it doesn't help that I'm using wi-fi. :/
I'll try to keep the PC on at nights, hope that helps a bit.
well I'm in for the long haul so thank you very much!
wat are some good clients for downloading magnet links? im using utorrent and when i enter a magnet url its never able to locate it
you are doing it wrong or are using broken magnets. I use utorrent and it works fine
im having the same issues with the links on this thread. i just downloaded qbittorrent and its working now. guess i gotta switch clients
ahh well then perhaps I'm giving bad advice. all magnets I've tried have worked in utorrent but if you could only get it to work with a different client then I can't argue with facts! I hope it works for others with the issue as well

Guys, if you could seed the torrent I created it would be really cool!

Didn't find a torrent of that artbook, but I found it on a website.
I guess you'll have to fetch these images manually.

If you want the FE staff art book, here it is: https://ehtracker.org/get/949039/fc7e96d999221a85d8d72264baca4f3a0483ff06.torrent

I couldn't find the other art book you asked for, I'm sorry.
Thanks for upload but the torrent has less than half a seed right now
would you be able to put your gumroad anywhere?
mind putting the ross tran collection somewhere?
I got it from here:

My whole gumroad collection is too big for the space I have in my HDD (that collection has around 260GB of data). And to seed a torrent I have to put the stuff in my PC, Deluge doesn't recognize the stuff I have in my external HDD.
For gumroad, is it possible to link to where you got it from or break it up into chunks to seed out? If not, I understand.
Okay, I can link some of the stuff I have. :)

There's also Sakimichan stuff, but that's kinda easy to find. That stuff is what makes my gumroad folder so big. xD

thank you very much :)
NP, I hope you find them useful! :D
are there any good torrents for clip studio?
Photoshop is decent only because the brushes are so versatile; however, you'll quickly learn that the software was not made for digital painting.
For sketching, I prefer Mischief since it has an infinite sized canvas that can zoom in and out infinitely, so it's great for making thumbnails that go into detail or turning a small sketch into a massive HD version - however the software is clearly just for sketching... There's not a ton of tools.
Autodesk Sketchbook is pretty good for versatility in digital painting as well as digital drawing. It costs money, but it's quite worth it in my opinion. It also allows raster animation instead of that shitty vector shit. The animation tool is new and not refined, containing only the option for a foreground, mid, and background layer. I have suggested they add layers for sketching and direction/notes. They acknowledged my request, so I would hope they're going to implement it.
I would like to thank all of you. You are all gentlemen and scholars and the world is a better place with all of you in here. Anyone got information on how to properly scan an artbook onto a computer and get it to look incredibly pristine? I am an avid collector of artbooks and don't want to disassemble the spine in order to scan some of my more rare ones over (I have several Japanese only, limited runs for multiple cult games like Catherine).
you'll need to buy, rent or build a book scanner
Oh shit, I'm a machinist, so this won't be hard to build at all. And I'm sure I can borrow a camera from my cousin who's a professional photographer.

I should get on archiving these rare books when all this overtime goes away. Thank you, Sir.

Bumping for knowledge
Any have or know where I can find the marvel future fight art book?
I tried to find it on various torrents websites but I didn't have any luck.
The only time I saw it was on Yahoo.co.jp for 8.000 yen.
Sorry I couldn't help.
Thanks anon no worries
OP here, appreciate all of you follow artists in banding together to sort eachother out.
May we continue to have great finds.
Iv never done anything like this before, what kind of hardware would be required for this kind of stuff?

Just get a cheap intuos from Wacom. That's it.

There are other cheaper brands such as Huion but I have no idea if your area sells them. Other than that that's it. Don't bother getting a Intuos Pro any equivalently priced tablets as they can really burn your wallet, plus it's better to practice on something cheap first than splurge hard earned cash.

Just be sure to continue practicing any traditional art as skill in trad can translate quite well into digital.

A PC with a good amount of RAM also helps (>8GB). Slower computers tend to lag while working with big resolutions.

But I completely agree about getting a cheap tablet as your first one. Both Huion and Wacom are good, if you want Huion you probably need to buy one from ebay though. Wacoms are much easier to get.
I had a Trust tablet and it served me for a good 4 years and I got it for a mere €30.

Just need to keep this thread up. Such quality content Anon.
Does anyone have "Stan Winston School of Arts: How to Create Mask"??
Can someone explain what these are? Are they step by step guides to painting? If they are, which one will help me git gud? I use photoshop and I suck shit.

Sorry I haven't found anything about that. :/

They're not really step by step tutorials, they're more like the way the pros draw and paint their works while they explain how they do that.
I have seen some but I haven't git gud yet. I can only work with Black and White for now.
Frankly you need to practice a lot, I would start with one that begins with a Black and White draw and from there apply the colors, from my view it helps you understand the colors you have to/can use.
Lu Dongjun will teach you how to paint metal, rocks and Female in photoshop, it's a step by step guide
Do you guys have anything for 2D animation? I need one for my program
Any link for "How to Draw: Hyper Angle Book"?
Anyone got the book of norling about perspective?
I´ve been looking for Harold Speed stuff, anybody got something?
I happen to have that book. All the torrents I saw were dead.

For the other 2 anons, I couldn't find anything, I'm sorry.
Good Lad.
can someone seed the digital art master vol 1-5. It would be much appreciated
Love you anon
I remember being a wee lad wanting nothing more than learning how to draw. Then I got into reading Frazetta, Vallejo and art books like this and realized there was no way I'd ever be half that good and gave up.
Thanks for reminding me of my childhood, anon.

I'm looking for a jap book called Super Pose Book. I think it's a series, I haven't seen a torrent yet though.
hey guys, someone have sakimichan tutorials? about anatomy, portrait, blending etc.
Anon, I finally found a link for Hyper Angle!

It's the only one I found until now.

No matter how many times I watch Sakimichan stuff I can't git gud with semi realism. *sigh*
Here's the torrent, dear anon.
But most of the stuff laying around is outdated, regarding that artist, you should consider joining cgpeers ig you want newer stuff.
Thanks man!
