Is it worth dropping a Heavy Support from my Sisters of Battle list to make it a proper Vestal Task Force detachment? If so, should I drop an Exorcist or a Retributor Squad in a Repressor? This is for a 2000 point army.
>>

Really tho I have found that SAGs actually fucking rock at low point games, consider running a horde detachment (or whatever the one with 3HQs is called) and dropping your killa kans for mek gunz or maybe get some more trukk boyz for multi-threats.

(also I know it sounds like cancer but I really like a gorkanaut at low points)

Alright I'm done, but minus a few balancing issues it's a lot of fun, a different and in some ways better way to play 40k.

for being what it is and given the lack of playtesting it is actually a lot of fun to play...not every game should be WAAC. I prefer the casual fluffy games and this is a unique way to do that.

The movement values, hero phase and Armor save modifiers are a much better system, 40k is bloated and broken, half the fucking book is special rule bullshit that makes the game ridiculous and hard to pick as new player.

And guess what...GW doesn't give a shit about us, we've already spent our small fortunes, now they want new players and their small fortunes and 8th is going to be just that, a slimmed, if not dumbed, down 40k that any newbie can pick up in a day.

>>
>>52814377
It's mostly concern about they'll take it beyond just cutting bloat into outright dumbing down the game.

Not everyone wants to play a simpler game just because it's faster.

>>
>>52814303
That's fair.

Dropping that gives me 15 points. Should I take 5 more points off somewhere (maybe the infiltrator princep's refractor field) to give the vanguard alpha pater radium? Or if I drop 10 I could give him the autopurger thing from Cawl that hits at I10 instead of I1 for the toughness test.

I am 100% fine with "dumbing the game down" if it stops the game from freezing to look at some obscure rule or at makes it so that a lot of lists are viable rather than one specific formation or whatever is needed. 40k NEEDS to be debloated, and grognards holding onto their wishes to retain a system that's take on ten years of half baked reanimation could use with a wake up call. fite me.

Like this guy --> >>52814398 said people are scared of the Age of 40k treatment. What they don't realize is that AoS took GW sales from ~5% with Fantasy to almost ~35%of their sales coming from AoS. Yes some of that has to account for updated models being sold and the few standalone games but in general it's agreed that switching to AoS was a profitable decision.
Whether oldfags want to admit it or not, GW is going to do what is best for GW's profits, not their fanbase.

If it's 500 points and you're new I'm guessing these are the models you own. It should be fine. Go have fun and try stuff out. It's hard to go seriously wrong in 500 points.
you don't need two hq's though

>>52813973
A lone attack bike seems like a good way to lose first blood unless you have some kind of plan I'm not seeing. Maybe save the points and get a combi weapon for the tac sergeant.

IMO the lascannon and TL plasma is kinda meh since you can only fire one at full bs if you move, but that's preference.
>>
>>52814498
You can't really compare the increase in sales by converting WHFB to AoS though. 40k is still selling very well, fantasy was not and they could afford to make a huge change. You don't take a system that's selling well and replace it with one that might alienate the current users.

8th ed will probably be a mix between AoS and current 40k so the people that want AoS rules in 40k will probably be just as disappointed as the 40k people that don't want anything to change.
>>
>>52814048

Those comments prove that GW fanboys will eat up whatever garbage GW will eventually throw out in place of even worse rules.
>>
>>52814465
That could work. Can drop the vanguard alpha's refractor field instead of the infiltrator's in that case. I like that. Zealot means the first round they charge in they get 21 taser attacks that hit on a 3+ and reroll 1s. pretty brutal. The reroll means about 3 more hits on the charge.
>>
>>52814524
Hell, we usually just roll off for who's right if there's some super hard to find rule debate then figure it out post game for later.
>>
>>52814417
how is tzeentch the embodiment of bureaucracy? Surely bureaucracy would be more like nurgle, considering that a lot of stereotypes about bureaucracy show it being bloated and unable to get anything done. Maybe in the sense that it often doesn't make sense, like Tzeentch's plans to a lay person, but I feel like that's a bit of a stretch.
>>
>>52814571
Hatred means you reroll ALL misses in the first round of combat, not just 1s.
>>
>>52814097
What primer/paint did yuo use on the driver for that shiny effect?
>>
>>52814596
So around an extra 5 or 6 hits then, accounting for extra taser hits. That's really nice.
>>
>>52814546

the 20 min was an exaggeration obviously, my point is unless you are a fanatic who plays multiple times a week (i.e. no fucking life) then it's really hard to keep up with all the rules and the new rules and the new units with new rules and then the new formation with new units and new rules.
It made me quit playing tournaments because people would get pissed when I asked questions or asked them to show me "that rule that says you get to reroll your rerolls and then reroll again" because fuck, some of this shit is fucking insanely complicated...don't get me started on Ynnari and their Soulburst bullshit...I just conceded after 3 hrs and only TWO FUCKING TURNS...it's just frustrating as a married man in his 30's with a job and two kids to keep up with his favorite hobby.

If you ditch the deathwind launcher (meh), razorback, and attack bike you've got another 130 to work with. I'd definitely give that tactical squad a transport of some kind though whether drop pod or rhino. 49 point grav cannon marine feels too valuable to foot slog.

I disagree. Looking up a rule doesn't bother me too much if it makes the game more interesting or complex. I'd rather continue playing 7th edition against my Tau friend's riptides all day if it means I keep armor and armor facing differences on my tanks instead of wound pools for example. Don't need to dumb down the game to fix bullshit like imbalances or looking up a rule, to find you need to look up a rule, to look up a rule. I came to this from X-Wing and I don't want to go back. Simple and "streamlined" is not what I wanted with 40k.

Are there any clear numbers on the popularity of the xenos factions?

I think this is how the list goes from what I've seen personally

1. Tau
2. Eldar (all of them lumped here except DE)
3. Orkz
4. Nids
5. Necrons
6. Dark Eldar
>>
>>52814930
I don't think Devs or Tacticals can even take Heavy Flamers. Aren't they Sternguard only?

A full squad of them can be quite devastating though. They're absolute death to any sort of lighter infantry if you can get them close enough with a transport (easy with a drop pod or even a Rhino), and even other marines tend to cook under that many S 5 flamer hits.
>>
>>52814673
I understand your plight, but why are you playing tournaments if you don't play the game or read up on things regularly? I read tons of shit about the game and play it about once a week, but I despise tournament play. It generally isn't a decent game or meant to be fun unless you are STEM major numbers man who meta games everything. The only goal is to win. Entire armies are dismissed. "Don't ever take x unit or so and so." is often thrown around. It is not something I would plan to go to unless I know the people involved.

So with the upcoming release of the new death guard I am looking at running a Nurgle force, mostly renegades with plague zombies, a few tonks and a handful of Marines, like no more than 20 Marines and Mortarion if he is any good. Does that sound like a viable list?

The other question is where can I get cheap zombie models? I'm sure the new geedubs ones will look great, for the low price of 80 dollars for 10. What is the best substitute? A lot of the ones I can find don't mesh in very thematically with 40k.

Guys I am planning on buying a box of custodes for 40k tomorrow and I am wondering how to kit them out.

Planning ok on using them as deep strike melee beasts and as a bullet sink, so I am thinking shieldstodes.

I'm also thinking of taking the Vexilla.

I can't find much tactica on this. Is the vexilla worth it in the 5 man squad with shields? Or spears?

I want to take shields because I found them practically unkillable when I played against them, while I managed to kill a squad of regular custodes quite easily. That said I like the spear models better.

What do?

>>

Well, like I said, in the game I recently played against custodes I found d them very hard to kill. In 4 turns I had killed one shieldstodes out of five.
>>
>>52816234
Figure out if you want melee beasts or bullet sinks more.
If you go shieldstodes you have your bullet sink, but you go way down in offensive capabilities.

Vexilla is pretty high-cost on already high cost models, so generally not worth it in small squads.
>>
>>52816249
Why does every cunt just grab some gold spray and call it a job done with custodes? If my army consisted of like 15 guys they would all be amazingly painted.

I figure the shieldstodes are pretty killy in melee anyway. 4 attacks with ap3 is pretty beastly as it is. Are the spears really that much better?

So vexilla might be out....sad because I love the model. Might just make it and use "counts as".

>>
>>52816335
Breacher team in devilfish is legit my favorite tau unit by a long shot. You get so many sweet marine slayings in and they are just total suicide units. Markerlight before firing from 5" and they die heroes.
>>
>>52816333
>Are the spears really that much better?
>S+1 AP2 with a special rule that allows it to negate any close combat attack that rolls to hit including Str D weapons
You tell me.
>>
I have 3 assault centurions and pedro kantor, I am trying to decide on the transport for them.

My options are drop pod, land raider redeemer, or land raider classic (the 16 slots in the crusader is a waste).

The pod is super cheap, but can't assault from it. Also, it does nothing but get them to the field.

The land raiders have assault ramps, but are crazy expensive. The centurions have 2 TL flamers, 1 TL meltagun and crazy anti-tank melee powers. Pedro has his orbital strike, a good storm bolter, and +1 attack to everyone.

So, I don't know which LR would be more useful. The redeemer gives those delicious flamestorm cannons, but the centurions already have flamers.

The classic gives the TL LC, and hurricane bolter.

What do y'all think I should go with?

>>
>>52816363
My main concern is units lost in between when they deepstrike and when they get to assault next turn.

That's a whole round of shooting and potential assault to survive, and with 2+/5++ I worry they'll lost the assault damage boost due to lost models, and a lack of shooting before assault...

How much support do they need onboard and also do you think they would synergise well with some crisis teams from your experiences?
>>
>>52816397
I'm not sure which the scizo raider is.

I'm leaning towards the redeemer, I just don't know if the flamestorm cannons will be redundant
>>
>>52816398
You don't have to take all of one or the other, you can just take one or two with shields and put them at the front to soak fire.
>>
>>52816368
>>1 TL Meltagun
Why? What can 1 melta shot do that 10 S10 Ap2 armorbane attacks can't within 12"?

IMO, redeemer or walk. The flamestorm will want to hit the same target as the centurion flamers anyways, so just burn something the fuck out.
>>
>>52816398
Unless your enemy has lots of low AP weapons there's literally no difference between a 5++ and a 3++, because you're likely to never use it.

The real thing you should be worrying about is if your opponent hits you with 20+ slugga/lasgun/bolter shots. A 2+ armor save and 2 wounds can only go so far.
>>
>>52816407
Or you could stop being a retard and just go with the crusader.
>>
>>52816413
I have the melta gun so that if they come across a transport the sergeant can pop it and then the rest can torch the contents using the omniscope.

So would you say redeemer, walk, or drop pod are all viable options?

I've used the pod once to good success, I torched an enemy's command squad and got everything but the warlord.

But not being able to assault really steams my britches.
>>
>>52816431
would you think the crusader is a better option than a pod?
>>
>>52816406
I find they can do well unsupported but do best when they have some markerlight points to spend when they jump out and go to shoot their target unit.

The vehicle attracts a lot of attention on the way there, and when the other player realises these guys are killing nearly a whole squad of marines in one turn of shooting they go hard to slay them next turn.

I think they compliment crisis teams great with the devilfish and make for a nice distraction and always make for a great game moment. 125 points for five plus fish might be steep for some though but I think it is worth it for the fun and distraction.
>>
>>52816440
>assault vehicle

You tell me.
>>
>>52816432
You can't shoot a transport and then shoot it's contents with the same unit.
>>
>>52816412
I am pretty much retard and I feel like that would confuse me a bit much, but it's something to think about.

>>52816420
This is a good point. I think i am biased from my game. I just had zero luck killing the shield guys, but he was taking the reroll 1s on invulnerable save rule that comes with full us to desperately army, so maybe they're not that good otherwise.

Starting to lean towards spears now...

Do you think missing out on a pre assault shooting round is worth the extra spear Attacks?
>>
>>52816454
Why not? I was under the impression that the omniscope allowed me to do that.

The sergeant uses splitfire to hit the transport, then the rest of the unit shoots at the now disembarked troops.

>>52816453
I'm really new, so I am not sure.

Do the frag assault launchers do anything for assault centurions? They already have ironclad assault launchers on them.
>>
>>52816432
I think it kinda depends on what the rest of your list is like.

I like to gunline it and dig in and use my assault cents as counter assault deterrence guys, which works great against anything that isn't a gunline, in which you end up having to be creative about avoiding the AP2 on the way over there.

Like you say, all of them can work.
>>
>>52816474
You have to declare all of your shooting before you actually roll to hit, since the occupants aren't on the board yet you can't declare them as a target.
>>
>>52816469
The spears have built in bolters though. I don't see what you mean by missing out on the shooting phase.
>>
>>52816480
Or rather, you declare all of your targets
>>
>>52816480
I was not aware of that. I suppose I will go with the flamer then. The omniscope is still really nice for pedro though.

>>52816477
My thoughts are to let pedro tank the AP2 and let his 4++/FNP try to save him.

I've always had a hard on (kek) for assault centurions, they are just so freaking awesome. So I want to use them.

My list is attached, but I am considering dropping the devcents for a landraider.
>>
>>52816474
Nah, you gotta declare your split fire targets at the same time. You don't shoot all the weapons at once, but you do have to declare your targets. Since the passengers aren't available as a target, I would say you can't.

By the way, try two hurricane bolters and ironclad launchers on the sgt. Whole squad benefits from defensive grenade bonus, at least one guy attacks at initiative if charging through terrain, and if you charge from the redeemer you don't even need it. Hurricane bolters can do some damage.
>>
>>52816518
Cool, I appreciate the ideas guys

I'll tinker around with this and see what I can make
>>
>>52816515
>>52816518
Also it's worth noting that the rule for split fire explicitly mentions you can't choose to split fire at a unit forced to disembark

>These must be at a different target, which cannot be a unit forced to disembark as a result of the Split Firing unit’s initial shooting attack.
>>
>>52816506

>>
>>52816534

>>
>>52816532

>>
>>52816534
You can if a unit has relentless or another special rule that allows it to. In this case the guardian spear explicitly says you can shoot it and charge in the same turn.
>>
>>52816553

Ynnead is a god of death while Nurgle god of decay and rebirth. Nurfle can counteract the death magic of Ynnead robbing the Ynnari of their power.

Also Yvarine referred to the Eldar as the benighted children of Slaanesh. What does she mean by this?

The Visarch has a dark past. The keepers of the Black Library hate him and scorn him as the Destroyer of Knowledge and the slave of Khaine.
>>
>>52816586
Wait, now I'm confused.

That explicitly says it can do both in the same turn. Why couldn't they shoot then assault? Seems like that special rule overrides the rapid fire rule.
>>
>>52816586
>it can fire it as a boltgun and attack with it using the melee profile in the same turn

You can only disembark units from a LR if it moves no more than 6'', correct?

I'm checking in my BRB to make sure I don't goof up any more rules.

While it'd be nice to move 12'' and disembark I don't think you can
>>
>>52816598
>>52816608
It's attack with it, not charge with it.

They're saying it to deter morons who might have thought you couldn't fight using it if you used it in overwatch. There was some faq last year with some similar weapon where some idiots had that question.
>>
>>52816616
Only 6", but that still gives you a 12" move in total to charge from.
>>
>>52816625
Thought so, ty for response

One more question, does taking a dedicated transport over just taking a transport in another slot do anything other than save you a slot, and change the unit type of the transport?
>>
>>52816627
Dedicated transport consumes no slots.
>>
>>52816627
That's right. Of course the unit who bought the dedicated transport is the only one which is allowed to deploy inside the transport.
>>
>>52816632
>>52816631
K, thought so.

This event has a weird restriction, you have to take at least 1 of each type, and the combined point totals of each type can't exceed your troop totals.

That means I put my sternguard in elite, asscents in fast attack (IF can do this), and the LR for them as heavy support.
>>
>>52816621
This. Also, say there's some unexpected special rule or psychic power that gave them Relentless or just the ability to charge after rapid-firing, then GW has covered for that as well.
>>
>>52816642
So then my original question stands. Is shoot then assault with the swords going to be more effective than just assault with Spears?

Really how often are things 2+ Saves?

Are Craftworld Eldar really that libertarian? I mean don't they have very strict 'Paths' for people to follow. Sounds a lot like central planning to me. They have to moderate their behaviour or be ostracised to prevent them falling to the degeneracy that caused The Fall.

And if you consider the main divergence between CWE and DE is how they approach the issue of self indulgence then I would say CWEldar would be in the authoritarian quadrant and DE are in the right quadrant, right libertarian.

>tfw the Ancaps get their way and planet Earth becomes commorragh

Also I would put Tyranids in the left wing, authoritarian quadrant since they are a true collectivist hive mind and I don't know if any army fits in with the left libertarian quadrant because the whole concept of anarcho-communism is unrealistic in general and even if such a race existed they wouldn't be grim-dark enough for 40k and in the fluff would no doubt get invaded right away by Orks or something who they welcomed with open arms like hippies.

well, she might just be confused, some GW stores offer a "paint a model" thing to first timers, where they get a space marine model and get to paint it with some paints provided. doesn't mean you can just use their paints but that might be why she thought that.
>>
>>52817388
Just your parents? Your grandmother didn't play? Fucking plebs no wonder 40k is shit today, fucking young people.
>>
>>52817351
Why do they suck? I routinely play a BT buddy and he goes full fluff. He's pretty brutal. Drop pod ironclad in backfield, LRCs charging forward, a stormtalon, vindicators and predators laying huge fuckyoupieplates instakilling even my Iridium Commander..

Dude plays fast and hard, just like BT.
>>
>>52817478
>full fluff
>vindicators and predators

I'm pretty sure "full fluff" for BT is a lot of assault units, not tanks.
>>
>>52817478
>full fluff
>black templars

>>
>>52817495
>>52817499
Why are mechanized BT unfluffy? Half his army are crusader squads that either plasmagun/cannon MSU or big blobs of CC rage.
>>
>>52817495
It is more mobile than anything, that is why they used to have whirlwinds and not devastators.

You are a crusading zealot that loves to punch heretics, not a retardad chaos fag that doesn't understand proper supply lines or combine arms.
>>
>>52817458
> Girls getting special treatment at store
Would it really be that out of the ordinary?
From a business angle having a girl in the shop gets more beta orbiters. As a guy who goes to GW due to other tabletop stores closing down, I've never got such treatment.
>>
>>52817509
>due to other tabletop stores closing down
>tfw my old tabletop store no longer sells 40k and has moved to shitty weeb cardgames
Fuck you for reminding me...
>>
>>52817505
Because BT's are supposed to be fielded in massed human waves running directly toward the enemy arms flailing and react to massed casualties from entrenched foes by running even faster and failing even wilder.
>>
>>52817505
Mechanized for the BT is mostly LR Crusaders, not predators and vindicators.

Even when mechanized they revolve around getting closer to punch things.
>>
>deathstrikes still OOP

Guess I'll just buy another land raider.
>>
>>52817551
>>52817545
I still can't see it. They are a highly mobile ever-approaching force. Predators are like mobile devastators and Vindicators are short ranged linebreakers with massive dozer blades.

Having a few charge and bulldoze a city block as massed crusaders approach behind them sounds very BT to me.
>>
>>52817544
Wonder if your store stop selling 40k due to lower sales or GW traditional incompetence

Ours close or stop selling GW shit because they couldn't deliver what the store asked.
>Did my shit arrive?
>No they fuck up the delivery AGAIN.
When that happens every month and stores end stocking boxes upon boxes of Tau Ethereals and Rat ogres it is hard to run a business.

Maybe it was due to the guy handling SA just hated us.
>>
>>52817577
>literally part of the Manticore kit

>>
>>52817551
BT back in 3rd, you know best edition, only lacked devastators, they had everything else.
>>
>>52817606
Yes and the kit has been out of stock since january, fucking sucks because I want 3 of them as artillery for my BT.
>>
>>52817603
I think it was because of lower sales because when I returned there a year after I took hiatus from 40k they started selling non /tg/ stuff too like legos. Now they've completely dropped 40k. So I guess one could reasonably assume that they stopped selling because lack of sales.
>>
>>52817602
They're not a "highly mobile ever approaching" force, they're a "lets get into their faces and punch them" force. Their first wave is literally just a drop pod assault, with the second wave being mostly LR crusaders. There's a reason their chapter tactics on the tabletop are literally all revolving around assault and moving across the board on foot.
>>
>>52817626
So you started playing recently got yah.

I was going to say something about going back to /pol/ but then I saw those trips.

political compass doesn't really wok for 40k because a) we don't really know much about their economic policies and b) virtually all the armies will be authoritarian because they're in a state of war, the only lot I can think off who wouldn't be are the eldar offshoots and rogue traders
>>
>>52817651
>>52817626
They are still Space Marines, and as such are somewhat pragmatic about tactical shit. Having the first wave being armoured linebreakers and drop pod dreads = the actual crusaders get to punch heretics more efficiently.

As long as the ratio of punched heretics to dead templars ratio is favourable, then the crusade is a success.
>>
>>52817651
As long as they focus on flame-based weapons... yes, they are. Unless it specifically states "these marines eschew the use of <insert unit> because it's <insert explanation>" then yes, it's fluffy so long as the tactic employs flame-based weapons as best they can.

cont. to clarify political compass can't distinguish motives so the various "freedoms" that Slaanesh wants it want for hedonistic reasons rather than egalitarian ones.

eg, a liberal/libertarian might want gay adoption to be legal because they don't think the state should involve itself with family life, whereas Slaanesh wants it to be legal because he gets off on conservative tears and the possibility of a interfamilieral spitroast

Personally I find the concept of vanilla marines funny, especially the ultrasmurfs. Because they're supposed to be tactical geniuses, right, with all this doctrine and code and plan to follow? Yet they're probably one of the armies noobs take the most, and they play them completely without tactics, a plan, or at most they'll consider shooting the toughest guys with the strongest weapons, but even that's kind of rare. Ironic, to me.
>>
>>52819276
It depends on how they decide to push the plot really, they're doing Mortarion after Magnus because the Eldar fags are busying trying to start shit with him on the Plague Planet. It could go either way after that, either Fulgrim appears out of nowhere to put Guilliman back to sleep or Angron decides to go and fuck some shit up because he's bored.

Anyways I'm telling you to wait because you'll get some cool new units alongside the primarch like how the TSons got the Scarab Occult terminators and the Exalted Sorcerers. And you'll get model updates too.

But for now I think getting Kharn and maybe some KDK would be a safe bet since those are still pretty fresh releases.

It can be mildly annoying, but it doesn't really come up all that often, even in the prime of HFY.

What does come up more often is Marine talk. Marines on the table, arguing about Marine on Marine fluff. It's boring and takes up too much of every thread. I like when there's serious talk about Xenos armies, but most don't have much fluff or are bad on the table outside of Tau and Eldar.

lmao at that disembodied head's facial expression
>there must be more than life to this
>>
>>52819293
More bits in the conversion set.
>>
>>52819343
Pretty sound advice. It really does depend on which way they'll take it so maybe ill make some KDK and customize as world eaters so i can just make them into a traitor army.

Depends Angron was banished back to the warp so it may be a while before he comes back out. Alternatively they may bring him out to fuck shit up on a whim. I suppose its more likely we'll see him before Fulgrim as Slannesh is MIA in sigmar, so having one of his most powerful servants dicking around would be silly. On the other hand KDK came out not long ago so Slannesh demons may get some love. Who knows?
>>
>>52819373
I'm just happy they're finally giving chaos the diversity they deserve, still not as silly as the loyalist but its nice that chaos has more than two codexes now.
>>
>>52819430
That's what i do, I KDK, World Eaters and khorne heavy chaos daemons. Its fun, and allows you to play a variety when you go to the local shop without having to haul a epic fuck ton of models.
>>
>>52819449
Agreed. I personally don't think normal Marines should have so many codices. They have stupider reasons for being more diverse. Chaos Marines being warped by different dark gods makes a lot more sense for having different codices.
>>
>>52819593
The fuck you on about? Loyalist marines only have 4 codices. At the rate GW is giving Chaos Marines love we're going to see Slaanesh marines and Nurgle marines codices too.
>>
>>52819378
>here he goes slaughtering again
>>
>>52819378
>"Not the deepthroat and mounting I expended, fucking Tindr..."
>>
>>52819646
That would only be 5. Although i doubt they'll come out with a slaneesh army cause Geedubs thinks kids play their game.
>>
>>52819692
>only 5
Gay Knights are Ordo Malleus not Adeptus Astartes.
>>
>>52819243
If it is not Epic, Titanicus, Mordheim, Battlefleet Gothic, proper Necromunda or a full Sisters of Battle plastic miniature range.

I could not care less

>>52819787
>contrarian's delight
>>
>>52819646
Deathwatch and GK too.
>>
>>52819821
Hey I gave a lot of options to be interested.

I can't be exited about AoS stuff since for that I would play Warmachine
>>
>>52817334
Fuck me that's a sexy Chaplain image. Really captures the idea of "THESE are who Space Marines fear."
>>
>>52819764
Im not saying it's a bad thing, its fine that there's like 12 imperial faction, half of which involve space marines in some fashion. I'm say that it'll be nice to have a good diversity of chaos factions as well. There's only so much you can do with the other factions, excluding eldar which have a number of factions already.
>>
>>52819834
See >>52819764
Deathwatch are Ordo Xenos
>>
>>52819243
Source?
>>
>>52819646
Loyalist have:
Vanilla
DA
BA
DW
GK
Then we can add the FW stuff Red Scorpions, Space Sharks and two more I don't recall the name.

There are more marine options than the rest of the armies combined and I'm not even considering 30k
>>
>>52819884
GK and DW aren't adeptus astartes. Also you're forgetting space wolves.
>>
>>52819883
their facebook page you dingus
>>
>>52819784
>>
>>52819901
Which one? They have so fucking many.
>>
>>52819866
They are Loyalist Marines with all marine codexes.

>>52819884
Also Supplements with wargear and shit for Iron Hands, White Scars, Imperial Fists, Raven Guard, outside that there's also the Flesh Tearers and the FW chapter tactics books.
>>
>>52819899
Neither are Inquisition in the new retarded lore, but they are still loyalist Space Marines.

I didn't forget SW. I'm trying to forget Wolf, wolf time, wolf lord, wolf claw, wolf wolf wolf wolf.
>>
>>52819941
By that supplements logic CSM have Traitor's Hate, Traitor Legions, Crimson Slaughter, Wrath of Magnus, and a good amount of Forgeworld shit.
>>
>>52819987
Space Wolf codex wolf-count: 492
Blood Angels codex blood count: 505
>>
>>52820085
I wonder if the blood angles beat out the KDK for blood count.
>>
>>52820097
No
KDK codex:
Blood count: 632
Khorne count: 434
Skull count: 209

Dark Angels codex Traitor count: 100%
>>
>>52820085
I'm glad I didn't read the BA codex.

My mind kind of melted while reading the wolf one
>>
>>52820205
I'd also liek to pint out Blood angels are FAR worse when ti come to naming gear.

Blood strike missiles, blood claws, blood boil, blodo lance, haemopapathy, vitae, sanguine, encarmine...

If i expanded it to blood red colours and faux latin they dex would be like 30% blood.
>>
>>52820241
Multiple marine codex, for basically badly name and different coloured marines are a mistake.

But they will never axe the concept.
>>
>>52820267
in an alternate universe GW didn't make multiple marine books and orks are what the game is based around
>>
>>52820348
Id be happy with:
Codex Faction
Codex/Supplement Faction super special snowflake.
>>
>>52820406
This would make since, they could still sell all their models for all the snowflakes, but instead of filling a whole book with hamfisted special snowflake shit, they could just have a few pages of special rules, equipment, and formations.
>>
>>52820486
That would make sense and force employees into working in things they don't like.

Suddenly every codex is like the Nids
>>
>>52820587
>make every codex like nids

Bane you madman, that would crash the system
>>
Jesus fucking Christ, are you supposed to loose the information abduction mission at the beginning of Battlefleet Gothic? This is the worst thing ever.
>>
>>52820727
git gud
>>
>>52820668
Picture everyone doing codex like The unameble worked with the Nid codex.
>>
>>52820751
I just want to battle with ships, not play these meme missions.
>>
>>52820727
No
Do this >>52820751
>>52820780
No really even in the hardes difficulties it is easy as fuck.
