To the one who's making the Umineko jump, just make becoming a Voyager an post-spark reward if you complete a scenario akin to the games. It would be fun, and after a chain ends powerlevels don't matter anyway.

How do you deal with pesky protagonists /jc/?
Surely you don't just let them win?
>>
What are some common themes in your stories or chains? What always seems to happen, regardless?
>>

My man! My current chain is actually focused on music related shit. Some good jumps to hit up are as follows:
Musician, Ar Tonelico, Symphogear, Elite Beat Agents, Avenger's Earth's Mightiest Heroes (for that elder elemental audiokinesis), Greek Myth (check out the Great Artist perk tree), and probably a bunch I can't remember at the moment.

>the mushroom cloud is Eggman's head instead
Yeah, that sounds about right.

Oh, as for what I do, I...well, pretty much do what Eggman normally does, to be honest, just with more thought and caution. He'd be a lot more successful if he just thought things through.
>>
>>52816094
If I hate a protag I just make it my personal mission to either troll them or try to make them a better person or defeat the villains myself.

Inevitably, I always get befriended by them. Somehow.

>>52816096
George De Sand from G Gundam always seems to try to woo my jumper no matter the chain. Main chain he was successful, in the other two he just gets politely turned down. Speaking of G Gundam in the Writer Chain: Don't let Cu Chulainn near Domon Kasshu because he will challenge Domon to a fistfight over a misunderstanding and it will end badly for bystanders. I had to pay for so much property damage.

If I like them, I usually let one of my avatars to be defeated if I needed to fight them via drawback. Because you don't always need to win every fight you get yourself into.

If I don't like them and there is no drawback, but I still find the world a little boring, I probably can ASSUME DIRECT CONTROL OF THIS MAIN CHARACTER.

I do, actually. It's part of the game.
Do you not know how cartoon villainy works?

The only important thing is that I get away in the end. If that happens, then in the context of the chain, I'm still winning. It's a game. You only lose when you can't play anymore.
Of course, every so often, some hero decides they're going to try to "put an end to my reign of villainy for good!", and then I have to show them why that's a bad idea.
Still let them live, though. Usually.

Hiya thread.

Got a question for you.

In Harry Potter Jump, do you ever just say: "Okay, Evil!Dumbles may be a dumb fanfic idea, but Voldemort is basically a puzzle boss you already know the answer to," and so you want to shake things up a bit and give your Jumper both a challenge and an unexpected surprise; so you make Dumbledore either Evil, or simply antagonistic to your Jumper in some irreconciliable way.

Do you do something like this to spice things up, or do you just deal with Voldemort using your out-of-setting knowledge and treat the rest like a vacation, albiet with some school work along the way?
>>
>>52816529
I wait until he's already dead before doing anything big. That said, there a good story potentially in making Dumbledore evil or just an enemy.
You certainly wouldn't expect it and there'd be some potential at the start for you to be at cross-purposes intially without you, or maybe even him, being aware.
Problem with the idea as it has been explored in fanfic, is that it's been poorly executed so many times the idea itself has gotten a bit stale, but there is potential there.
Just a thought, but has anyone ever heard or read a story about Dumbledore being corrupted by the Ring Horcrux rather than the whole Withering Curse?

Neat.

>>52816647
Nice pic. Also I usually am at a reduced power state, I locked a whole 9/10th's of my power behind a perk known as Limit Mode from Kid Radd which if I'm defeated /then/ I unlock all that I've kept sealed away. Most of the stuff I threw behind the Limit was directly combat related. So I usually act and seem like a Jumper on Jump 15 around 150, though my current Chain is around Jump 95ish right now. It's really funny because I do that so I can feel closer to normal. Also I abuse the heck out of Reincarnate (Disgaea) to keep myself challanged, usually.

Also, I've been trying to fight with reality warpers for a really long time, it's one of my objectives. That and completing projects Chekhov's Gun, Kill Anything Combo, and The Wanderer's Journal.

Chekhov's Gun and Kill Anything Combo are fairly well explained here: http://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/51897324/#51900947

As for The Wanderer's Journal it's not something that I've really gone beyond it being a 'Black Box of Memories' for my Jumper. The project is fairly new and is in it's infancy.

If we just account fantasy jumps, you can get those numbers with a fairly small amount of jumps.

Just Overlord has enough skills to cover a great deal of that. Not on the same level, but you can easily leave with a thousand of spells/skills just using the 1000 CP.

Magic is grossly diverse. Like all the stuff in Kamigawa is just local stuff whereas you've got the Walkers who collect entries magic systems like they're... well trading cards really. I'd rank it next to BBS in sheer versatility for the same reasons, we have only see so much of the vastness that is the magic systems. The upper end stuff needs lots of magical energy though. Like to fight with a Planeswalker you need to tap entire lands of Mana to keep slugging it out and most folks don't wanna do that.

It can do some kinda >>52817398 freaky things, though I will not Urza was just taking advantage of what was already a Planar Collapse there.

Some folk seem to think it's slow but it has spells that can be cast retroactively if you're good enough at things. Spells that are insanely fast, and spells that can be used at any instant in which you aren't dead. Now, dragging Mana from Mana bonds takes a bit of set up and resource management is a big part of the magic's upper end. Which is why you have ass-weeps like Bolas just nuking entire sections of land in his more serious fights, granted he likely got the idea form Toshiro's decedent who did just that to him. It is really versitile and has tons of feats throughout the Lore.

>>52817399
Yeah sounds like Mirror Gallery.

>>52817444
True enough.
>>
>>52817398
Notably, that card's based on the collapsing of a plane that was /already/ collapsing on its own.

Urza only sped it up to harvest the energy.

2 mana doesn't get near that otherwise.

Well, first of all, I don't fight a lot.
I have people to do that for me.

Some of them are, like, monsterguys, anthropomorphic goats, or robots, but generally I just make quirky minibosses and mooks and stuff and have them do things.
Sometimes I use more advanced magitek and experiments for a full fledged "boss character", but I very rarely make anything that's more than a potential city destroyer on its own.

Secondly, when I do fight, I tend to whiff a lot of my shots on purpose, spout off a lot of dumb lines, and generally play up the cartoon villain angle.
And if people put up enough of a fight to, like, not immediately be rendered comatose or run away, then usually I'm the one who runs away. Because it's part of the shtick. Villains run away a lot.

I'm having fun. This is fun for me.
If it's not fun, then I usually just try to end the fight as quickly as possible, and trying to "make combat relevant" isn't really relevant.

Well, it's not so cut and dry. Elder Dragons were considered comparably dangerous to pre-Mending Planeswalkers even without being one themselves and Bolas' power was greatly diminished after the Mending, not just because of the power loss but because he was canonically going senile from trying to contain 25,000 years of knowledge. But then he ate the Conflux and may have gotten a bunch of power back?

Look, it's been literally almost a year. That's way too long to hold hopes out for updates for an unfunded imaginary choice game.

The point I'm making is that you can literally walk up to the font of immortality now, and take something far better than what's banned. There are plenty of endgoals in other settings which aren't locked off, and I frankly have significant doubts it's actual true immortality when it's theoretically possible to buy the Cider and then go Seeking. You're already late by two weeks on what you promised to deliver, so I think the easiest solution at this point is simply to let things be attainable as per canon.

>>
>>52818217
Nah, that's just a gameplay abstraction. In the stories it gave Liliana enough power to temporarily 1v1 an Eldrazi and to stomp ancient demons who own her soul and were before way more powerful than her, but it has an entire race of evil spirits sealed in it and is probably slowly corrupting/killing her or driving her insane. It's also implied to he the reason that Nixilis is a demon.
>>
>>52818192
On one hand, it's cursed (liable to turn you into a demon like Ob Nixilis) and there's a bunch of spirits in it. On the other hand, it can apparently make a neowalker buff enough to temporarily harm Emrakul.

So... Depends on how much corruption resistance/immunity you have, and how good of an exorcist you are?
>>
>>52818232
Huh. I'd never have guessed that from the card. Are all M:tG cards like this, super powerful in lore but in game it's like "draw 2 cards" or "you lose a lifepoint to summon Wind-Up Kitten in attack mode"?

MegaCorp you're doing TMNT (2011)? That's cool. My suggestions would be:

1.) Psychic Powers, only April has them and currently she's burnt out so she's not as powerful she once was. Still it'd be nice to have Psychic ninja powers.

2.) David Tennbot as a companion! Having a robot pal with questionable sanity would be cool.

3.) Ability to summon & control or be a Demon-Dragon. This is the current & last season's main thing is doing Mystical stuff. They got the Joker-Demon-Dragon-Luke (Mark Hamil playing as Mark Hamil joking! ) stuff going on.

4.) Multiverse portal so we can go to every Animated Turtle media. Which they've confirmed all exist in same Multiverse.
>>
>>52818246
>you lose a lifepoint to summon Wind-Up Kitten in attack mode
Hey, Wind-Up Kitten is a fierce and noble beast. He has slain GODS in Paradox-Billiards-Vostroyan-Roulette-Fourth Dimensional-Hypercube-Chess-Strip Poker.
>>
>>52818246
Not all, but the gameplay abstractions do lead to odd power things, like a squirrel being able to take down a grown man, or a soldier, or a (weak) vampire, or fifteen of them taking on Emrakul, when in the setting they'd probably be normal squirrels.

That said there are things like the veil that are incredibly powerful in the setting that don't seem as powerful in the game - see the Eldrazi being killed by squirrels again. I think the dragons and many demons would be tougher than their cards indicate - particularly powerful dragons being noted to go up against armies at time, wereas the game would allow a handful of farmers to kill one.

In short, treat the threats as they seem to be, not as the cards depict them, and if something seems to be a legendary artifact assume it's pretty cool.

When jumping a setting where everyone has a unique power, what's your favorite method for offering powers?

>Pick from a list of OC powers
>Pick from a list of canon powers
>Use points to build a power from a table of options
>Free-form power creation
>>
>>52818532
Canon powers, it's easier to judge what you'd get and the possible levels that the power could reach.
>>
>>52818475

>>
File: ksa.jpg (221 KB, 850x1108)

221 KB JPG
>>52818532
Depends on the setting and what the unique powers are. If the unique powers are say, a reflection of yourself or in some way deeply personal, I generally think freeform with guidelines and active support is the best way to do it. Stuff like Stands or Zanpakutou, just feels weird and wrong to not make something that fits you.

If it's not so personalised, like by random chance or people seeking those powers out or having them given to them, then I think a list of powers to choose from is best. I've usually gone for just canon stuff but OC stuff, long as you can do it well, can work just as well. A mix is probably best, though I'd say OC stuff should never outshine the canon stuff you offer unless you're reaaaally short on options (Though one questions why you're doing powers in the first place then).

Build a Powers can be super complicated to do. Akame ga Kill I think is my favourite but even that's more of a mix of straight powers and altering effects.
>>
>>52818567
The other bodies are just meat puppets, they do not host the consciousness.
>>
>>52818643
If you actually read the perk, you'll note that each of your bodies has a mind telepathically connected to form a gestalt whole.

So, yes, the other bodies do host 1/10th of your consciousness.
>>
>>52818013
Nice. I was thinking of doing this one eventually. I really enjoyed the comic.

>>52818089
Yes that's the comic in a nutshell. It's basically supposed to be a gory take on people having superhuman strength as a superpower.
>>
>>52818013
Probably a bit more description of the origins and the whole setting would be better. Its really barebones descriptions. In fact its so barebones on Binders its almost not accurate.
>>
>>52818664
It wouldn't get the whole consciousness.
>>
>>52818738
So then you have nine of your normal minds and one fused mind, all connected telepathically in a gestalt whole?

Sounds like it'd be a weird experience, but not really bad for your sanity (unless the fusion itself already would be)?

I don't usually do hard rulings on my Jumps, I prefer conversation and compromise, however the answer to this is you don't get a Spark until you turn in an End Jump, or go home I guess, as that's been the rule for as long as I can remember. So, the answer to your question is no.
>>
>>52819001
Maybe? Maybe not?

Besides, it feels a little like cheating to just plop down in the setting and explode the bad guys in the first five minutes. Got to let the protagonists have their journey of self-discovery and adventure.

Of course, if I get caught in an "Oh Shit!" moment, I tend to panic and lash out with Forgotten Realms magic. With, considering the number of years I've been practicing it, it bad news for any bad guys in the surrounding mile. But that doesn't happen very often.

>Obelisk, still pissed from being sealed for so long and wanting stress relief, wanted them to go around to destroy the many threats of civilization. These Archfiends that their awakener mentioned sounds like a good idea to start with. The others don't really want to wander the world destroying everything though.

>Silfer wanted them to leave Not-Egypt and find another kingdom to become the guardian god off. Ra did not want to leave Egypt and Obelisk both did not want Exodia 2.0 to happen and also really wanted to go and punch things.

>They decided to split up with Ra staying in Egypt with the Gravekeepers, Obelisk finding wherever the front lines against the Archfiends are, and Silfer searching for a new kingdom (Eventually deciding to settle in the Warrior's Pass).

Well, yeah. That's the needless complexity expected of Sburb inventory systems.

But you shoot stuff out of the stacks, with the different arrays giving you options.

Just fill one entire array with, say, knifes and another with rocks or something. Now you can just shoot knives or rocks, depending on what array you access.

No, no, it's actually quite intuitive. Any time you add a card to any of the questacks, it causes the card on the other end to be ejected forcefully from the array. So you just have to shuffle things around your inventory from one questack to another, pretty simple, really. At least, to use it as a weapon. To use it as an actual inventory is a nightmare to try to keep track of, you're right on that account. But it's just not SBURB without stupid inventory management systems.

Jumpchain is about a lot of things.

>>52819296
I was exaggerating a little, but considering Forgotten Realms was 130 years ago, I've long ago hit Epic Levels high enough to make even a few deities sit up and take notice, not by much. Admittedly, I'm not as powerful as I could have been if I had been using the magic constantly during that time, but I try to make sure I practice with it in my downtime.

But it helps that I mainly use Shadow Magic, which is pretty combat focused and has some unusual effects and ranges to their spells to start with.

If I wanted to become a God of Fate, what would be some of the best ways of doing that? I don't necessarily need the ability to predestine things, but the ability would be nice. Right now I'm thinking the drop-in line from Percy Jackson, probably pick up Clairvoyance from Railgun, and probably Rider out of Darksiders, but beyond that I'm not sure what would be helpful

also: If I wanted to make minions based on different aspects of Fate(with them drawing from my power or not, that doesn't matter), what would some ways of doing that be?

For a better example of what I was wanting for the second one, it would be like in Fullmetal Alchemist how Father splits off the seven deadly sins from himself, but I don't want to give up the power over that aspect so much as create a minion(or group of) that are focused on that aspect. Almost like what Diablo lore says that the Prime Evils do

The plan: I'm actually going along with the plot on this one, I took a hour or so to actually read the comic and Luther seems to know what he's doing, when the time is right Petra is gifted some much better firearms, and I relish the opportunity to battle histories greatest killers.
>>
Is there a garfield jump?

oh, forgot to mention I'm definitely going to update and expand on the Hercules method with my own knowledge of body cultivation and the fist of the North Star ,Buddhist Palm, Twelve Kicks of the Tam School,Taijutsu, etc. into one grand unified martial art, then run the resulting manuscript through the haunted printing press from Generic Xianxia.

So from thread input, I have potential companion options for the Overwatch jump in writechain narrowed down to Bastion (who has no purpose left and has PTSD like the Jumper), Mei (a lot of lost time, also I can make the 'I recruited Satan' joke), and Winston (he's a big friendly gorilla who will probably enjoy the science trip, though I imagine he'll be liable to go home after a while).

I have to admit, I was not expecting this particular handful to be on the menu. Damn you, narrative logic.

...oh, Roadhog and Junkrat aren't on here because they're kind of. Well. Roadhog and Junkrat.
>>
>>52820061
If you want to time travel you can do it with sburb or Harry Potter. Or being an adult time dragon.

Get Narnian Time so you don't accidentally yourself and you're golden.
>>
>>52820464
Have to admit, those choices make a lot of sense. Bastion would probably make the best fit of the three in a long term sense, plus the two might help each other work through their issues. Or else they'll make them a LOT worse.

Though I'm still going to vote for the Ice Queen. I'm biased. And the Jumper really needs some warm, fluffy hugs.

Anyone else think that bancho is the shitposter, the bancho persona is all an elaborate ruse and he removes it sometimes to shitpost harder? Nobody is this out of touch while still being able to type. Or breath.

Nothing that removes brainwashing being in the Jumper's arsenal, and I can't make the OOC excuse that he's planning for it, since I've established neither the Jumper now the benefactor have total control of the chain. Most this Jump-chan can do is 'nudge' to particular genres or categories.

Anyway after some deliberation (and apologies to >>52820520 ), I've made my choice. Build and writefag soonish.

It's a joke I no longer remember the punchline for, thought of months before I even heard of Brexit.

I can change it if it disturbs you.
>>
I'm trying to remember a crafting perk, it was something about allowing you to substitute in sub-par materials to a creation and still make it work. Does anyone remember it? It's not essential, but it would improve a combo I'm working on a lot.

>Load State 1
You don't do anything. You'll never do anything ever again. SINCE WHEN WERE YOU THE ONE IN CONTROL?
>>
>>52820718
It doesn't disturb me as such, but I would like a location option that allows me to start in Britain, being British myself, and it would probably be easiest to change it rather than add a new option to the location roll.

So, yes, please.
>>
>>52820983
If you're British, then you should be aware that there are plenty of people who don't consider themselves really European in Britain because of the whole island thing. Something about that is probably where Clover got it from.
>>
>>52821009
That's... a big topic and this isn't the right place to discuss it.
>>
>>52821037

>>52821058
Actually, Clover said here >>52820718 it was because of a joke he forgot the punchline for. It was probably completely unrelated to that.

>"Something about Talon?"
>"It's a Watchpoint, actually. An active one. But it's not part of the old Overwatch network…"

A lone figure walks into a forest. The perspective changes to a red HUD, carefully scanning around the trees and the area to see several of them destroyed, as though shredded into pieces from where they stood.

>"Seriously? Well, who made it, then?"
>"It looks like their funding is coming from this company called Voyager Industries…mostly an engineering and technology firm, but they're branched out into things like restaurants, industrial sectors…"

Some birds scatter in the distance. The lone figure readies a medium-sized Pulse Rifle, looking sleek and new.

>"…and weapons development."
>"Soooo…are they good guys or bad guys? That sounds a bit fishy."
>"Oh, it does. And then I tried looking up who owns the company…his description matches a fellow named Anon."

They have their gun pointed out into the clearing. The sound of a whistle and then whirring alerts them to coming danger, and they roll out of the way just before a hail of bullet from a gatling gun nearly makes them into swiss cheese. They take cover behind a sturdy boulder, which is steadily chipped away at from the fire. He rolled away into a lower piece of cover, kept pinned by the suppressive fire.

>"…is that a real name?"
>"Apparently. He's been seen all over the world, usually carrying a weapon of some kind. He's wanted as a vigilante in several of them.
>"No, really, 'Anon'? Seriously?"
>Winston sighed. "It's probably a false name, yes. Not a very creative one, either. Anon, Anonymous…"

The gunfire stops, momentarily. The lone man crawls out of the clearing before making a run for it. A distant click is heard, and the gunfire continues.

>"I did a little bit of digging, and it looks like he's been doing some of our work for us, too. He's been fighting Talon at every opportunity, but goes back out of sight once his missions are done."
>"You thinking about recruiting him, Winston?"
>"Well, we could use all the help we can get. There's just one thing that bothers me…"

The distance between them had finally closed, and the man swings from a treetop to kick down the gun platform that had been firing at him, the heavy construct losing balance and falling onto its side. It changed back into Sentry mode, only for the man to stand atop the Omnic, pointing his rifle at the robot. The robot lifts up its arm to shoot, only for the man to slam his foot down on the joint.

The gun was lifted, about to fire…

>"I got an anonymous tip about this fellow."
>"…that a pun?"
>"No, but it is funny to think about. It's a simple message from a man named Finch. It reads…
>>
>>52821304
A single yellow bird lands on top of the gun, and begins to tweet at the man. He stops and stares in confusion, his finger off the trigger. The robot's visor had turned blue and tilted his head. It whirred loudly, as if anxious. A look of recognition crosses the man's face and he slowly takes the weapon away, the bird flying around the both of them…

>"Beware the Destroyer of Worlds named Anon."

The gun is replaced with an outstretched hand. The Omnic stares, as if trying to process what it is seeing, before its robotic hand reached out back to the Jumper as well.

On that note: Build time!

Last time on Restarted Chain!
Yorokonde had amnesia, a nose bleed, and started a revolution. It went poorly.
This time on Restarted Chain!

“God damn it!” The words rang out in the White Room, laced with pain and more than a little anger. My own. I felt hands on my shoulders as my own grasped desperately at my skull. Someone was whispering in my ear, but I can’t hear them over the memories and experiences pouring in. Vivid and demanding, they shoved themselves into my brain, tumbling over other memories along the way and spilling open boxes.

Dozens of other memories tumbled out, each as vivid as the last thirteen years, all struggling for a box of their own. Then a coolness slipped into my mind. A gentle presence was walking among the boxes, tipping them upright, catching the wayward scenes of my life. Where no boxes existed, they made some. When they discovered a memory had stolen the box of another, it gently pulled the invader free and set it in its proper place.

It took a while for my mind to finally sort itself out, even with Raven’s help. The process left me with a mental fatigue that made me want to sleep for three days. The potion Lapis handed me helped considerably, but it would only last so long. I needed sleep. Which meant I probably wouldn’t get it for a while.

"No more Amnesia Drawbacks." I croaked. The others faked laughter.

“Hope I didn’t worry you guys too much.”

“It was a short wait. Thirteen days is basically a vacation.” Marceline chipped in.

“The Faceless Coordinator let us watch.” Frisk piped up. “Some sort of accelerated feed. It just showed up on the TV. We could control it with the remote.”

And then conversation halted for a little while as four purple balls of scales pounced on me and gave the tiny dragon equivalent of hugs. Which is just adorable. Once the Four Amigos were satisfied that I had come out the other side of my solo Jumping without being overly scarred in the process, I turned back to my Companions.

“So, where is the Coordinator? Or has he pulled another disappearing act?”

Rip Van Winkle handed over a note, which they had found taped to the front of the Jump Document filing cabinets.

>Under New Management. Violence is the name of the game. Make it big. Make it loud. Your contract is for 11 Jumps. One of these may be your choice. The others you will take are listed below. Beyond a few demands of my own, the choices are your own. Do not disappoint me.

I sighed as I looked down the list of Jumps. It didn’t look too bad. There were a couple of really worrying settings and one I didn’t know at all. But, still, at least the directions were simple. A few Jumps had notes written next to them about specific Drawbacks that must be taken. That worried me a little.

“Do you think we can do it?” Lapis’ worried voice was understandable. She hadn’t exactly had the best introduction to this whole Jumping nonsense.

“I think so. We’ve got a list, we’ve got all the Documents. We can see what we’re up against and plan for it. In some ways, this is actually better. It’ll be stressful, sure, but we should be okay.”

I just don't like the character archetype. The snooty, stuck up attitude really grates on me and I just can't stand that sense of superiority they all inevitably have. I don't like those kinds of people and real life and I can't stand watching or reading about them in media either. It just violently turns me off to them, even if they grow later in the series beyond that. Not to mention a lot of stories have the inevitable backsliding even after they do take positive steps forwards.

Short version: Personal distaste of that kind of person in real life as well as media depictions. Has less to do with the wealth and more to do with their attitude.

Agito: Same as Kuuga
Ryuki: You can steal and use them, though it makes you part of the rider war
Faiz: Happens multiple times in the show, you have orphenoch DNA to be able to use the faiz/kaixa systems.
Blade: Dunno most likely
Hibiki: Same as Blade
Kabuto: The Zecter has to like you
Den O: Dunno
Kiva: Yes but unless you are a fangire it can kill you
Decade: You can if you somehow manage to take it from him
W: You need another person unless you obtain the lost driver.
OOO: I think you needed to have no desire for you to use it? I has been a long time since I watched the show.
Fourze: Supposedly yes, but I never saw anyone other than Gentaro use it
Wizard: I think you need to be a gate and be able to contain your phantom.
Gaim: You just need to obtain the belt
Drive: First you need to have the right state of mind to be able to access the different types.
Ghost: Dunno
Exaid: Compatibility surgery is needed

If I am wrong correct me, I haven't watched most of these shows since they aired.

Are there any settings where I can get the ability to not combine powers, per se, but use powers alongside each other that normally couldn't be? I really like Infernal Charms, they have a lot of cool themes and I want to use them as the foundation for all my various magic. But oh my god, the Combo system, fuck that thing. Exalted can only activate one charm at a time unless they've built a Combo for them, which there's no in-character guarantee they'll be able to do even if the charms are mechanically compatible. It's up to the GM, which in the context of this being a real world and not a game means it's effectively random. And it's expensive, you can't just add new Charms to a Combo, you have to build an entirely new one with the added Charm, costing even more XP and taking even more time than the first one. That's not as huge an issue for Infernals since so many of their Charms get upgrades at higher Essence or through Permanent Charms, so you don't need to make new Combos often, but it's still annoying. So is there any way I can get around this? Preferably in a relatively low-power jump, given that I want Infernals to be my gateway drug to high levels of powr.

No problem. Yeah, its a great perk. Pairs well with stamina boosters and the like.

My favorite being Tireless from Overlord (LN) which lets you regain energy when not spending energy so just chilling works.

And then the name eludes me but Resident Evil has one for experiments that lets you eat and regain stamina quicker. Great with infinite food perks.

THAT in store pairs well with 401k from Highschool of the Dead which lets you store up on food, water and sleep ahead of time.

All this nets you the ability to gorge yourself on infinite food and any time you aren't actively doing something you are resting or storing rest for later.

Have fun!

Well Undivided is already going to grant amazing leadership perks and the chance to get all four Chaos marks, Astartes gives amazing combat perks... you're gonna have to narrow it down. Suggestions are a thing.

>>52825878
I don't think I hate anyone here that much to inflict that on them.
>>
>>52825908
>Tireless from Overlord (LN) which lets you regain energy when not spending energy so just chilling works.
Um, what? Are you sure you're thinking of the right perk?
>>
>>52825918
Well, just something to make you more Abbadonn-y. Like, you know, some more Don to go with your Abba.
>>
>>52825924
Yes

>This explicitly makes it so you don’t need to sleep anymore, assuming you still had to do that, and at any time that you aren’t in the middle of strenuous physical endeavours just taking it easy and relaxing will be just as beneficial for you as actual sleep.

Drawback/scenario to lead one of the Crusades?
>>
>>52826044
>Drawback/scenario to lead one of the Crusades?
Parts 2-3 are basically going to be you leading your very own Black Crusade. Or for Loyalists, leading a Holy Crusade to ward off Chaos.

Part 1 is just to get your foot in the door.

I'm sorry but that tells me absolutely nothing.

I feel like someone should post Abba lyrics right now.

-Stylish Brooding (Free): Another thing you’ve likely noted about most of Chaos’ followers is their tendency to look… kind of grimdark? The sunken faces, or the obscene amount of blackness around their eyes, or whatnot. Some of them even have their faces rotting right off! The changes the Warp can bring are terrifying indeed, but you may choose to pick this up if you want to preserve your visage or even have it manifest in ways you would prefer. Some would argue that this is more in the realm of Slaanesh, but… well, I doubt you’d want to join with someone just to have your flesh slough off or get pus-filled boils without asking for it. This effect works only for your time here, but consider it a gift.

Way ahead of you, famalam.

Is there a Cool Cat jump?
Also can I get a list of jumps where I can get a spark.

Ask and yee shall receive:

>Mamma mia, here I go again
>My my, how can I resist you?
>Mamma mia, does it show again
>My my, just how much I've missed you?

Now imagine Abaddon singing this.

Yeeessss, let the Chaos flow through you, also the rhythm.

Has anyone claimed/started on Theros, Ravnica, Llorwyn, or other MtG settings?
I'm correct in thinking all we have right now is Kamigawa and Zendikar, right?
>>
>>52818013
>>52818091
I'd assume it means "run so fast over the Earth that if you were at the equator and travelled west, the Sun would move backwards in the sky". Which - if taken literally - means you'd have to be capable of running more than 464 metres per second, or 1670 kilometres in an hour (depending on how long your endurance held out). Mach 1.4, almost.

If taken literally.
>>
>>52826368
We have Innistrad, as well. And someone's working on Mirrodin/New Phyrexia.
>>
>>52826337
Yes to both.
>>
>>52826368
New Phyrexia, Ravnica, and Tarkir are claimed and being worked on, IIRC.

Lorwyn/Shadowmoor would be cool though, really like that places...

Since Power/Toughness is a gameplay abstraction, should summoning cost be treated as similar? Otherwise it costs two whole lands to summon a wolf and you can summon a dragon for the price of two wolves.
>>
>>52826403
where is it? Whats the name of the jump specifically
>>
>>52826795
Wolves are fluffy, they're worth at least 10 dragons.
>>
>>52826999
What about fluffy dragons?
>>
>>52826999
Clearly dragons would cost more, if they spent more time being raised by wolves.

So how do you keep your companions from complaining about you not importing them and using all the cp?
>>
>>52827128
Start importing them and giving them CP.

There's a reason I purchase a shitton of cybernetic, enchantment, and splicing/empowerment perks.
>>
>>52827128
I point to any empowerment options that exist in the jump, as they know I already gun for those hard.

Alternatively, I point to the companion import being a suboptimal route due to how much they get to spend in comparison.

I shove a magatama through their head until they stop bitching.

JUMPER was a broken shell of his past. He'd lost his brother, his lover, his closest companions, his people, his family, and even the culture he'd helped create. He'd had hundreds of years to train his skills well beyond what at the time I thought of as limits. Even with the pain of casting magic being blindingly painful he moved forward, with hope. He'd burned every last reserve of good emotion out at one point or another. His dreams were shattered. He'd seen Moon Cell being constructed and aided in the fledgling wars against the space evils. To say I was outclassed would be like saying a Nuclear Power Plant outclasses a Potato Battery.

He'd lost everything and had been driven mad by the loss. He was a crystal mirror that distorted my future oddly. His Reality Marble looked like... well back then I didn't even have a Reality Marble to show how different the two of us were from one another.
>>
>>52827316
Okay but I mean, what does a Servant become capable of when purchasing it?

Or do I literally just have Merlin to run with as an example here?
>>
>>52827426
Do you have to use all of the mana of a land at once or can you use it it in seperate smaller spells?
>>
>>52827459
Merlin's the only example and we only have his character sheet for info on the skill, never see it in action.
>>
Is there a way to get the ability to attach any properties you own to your warehouse at the end of jumps, or can that currently only be done with properties bought with CP that say you keep them post-jump?

I'm trying to determine how much effort is worth putting into getting a nice house for my jumper, or if he should just stick to a whatever is cheap near the plot and rely on his warehouse a bit more.

Just found out we had a Superman Animated Jump, would New God or Kyptonian physiology be better? The weaknesses of Kryptonian bug me but those could possibly be negated, New God I know almost nothing about.

It's never been done in canon. That said you might be able to do it! From what I can tell spells that need Mana have high top out points. There are few that are are functional no matter how much Mana you pour into them but most are just spells take from humble beginnings and empowered to their limits via Mana.

This is oddly how all magic in MtG seems to work. There's a spell and then there's the Mana based version which overclocks the spell. Also Pic Related funnily enough partial mana exists in game, but I've yet to see it outside the Unhinged set.
>>
>>52827604
New God has no inherent weaknesses IIRC, but Kryptonian has a wider array of powers.
>>
>>52827604
New God is what you want if you'd rather have some of the miscellaneous powers on offer. Kryptonian gives you all of the physical powers, but several times as strong as the abilities that can be purchased individually. It really just depends on your build. I went New God, personally.
>>
>>52827243
I didn't take it, as it would've been suicide. But.

He watched his wife die and turn to dust in his arms, even as his own children were twisted into weapons and thrown at him. His companions and his children fought, even as Arcia - the world he'd worked so hard to create just to give those people who willingly came with him a stable home - burned.

Everything came to an end and he couldn't even muster the strength to resurrect them all. Just because he'd stopped jumping didn't mean The Cat hadn't continued on with those others he'd picked up.

He'd been abandoned, and his foes had come to reap their due.

He makes the pact with Alaya, remembering EMIYA's own story. He will prevent this. One way or another.
>>
>>52827128
>So how do you keep your companions from complaining about you not importing them and using all the cp?
They understand that sometimes there are Jumps where I don't import them or even in some cases make them stay in Housing with Time Dilation in effect. Most of the time its because I can't spare the CP or I have a specific plan on what I want to do in the setting. Or because I plan on doing things that I don't want them to know about or in other cases I don't want them to get powers from that Jump..

The handful of harem perks I have really helps convince them to follow my orders.I do try to take a lot of vacation jumps where everyone gets imported and we have fun spending time together. Plus for some Jumps even though I don't important them the can still play around in the setting. Like Sidereals where I take the continuity drawback and they spend they next 10 years acting as Dragonbloods again.
>>
>>52827128
They don't. Because they're reasonable people. Or at least they wouldn't if I didn't import them.
>>
>>52827625
Aren't they weak to Radion or whatever?
>>
>>52827718
It'd have to pretty rare then, because otherwise Darkseid would use it openly and commonly.
>>
>>52827593
I think MCU2 has that when it's coming out?
>>
>>52827778
Kind of.

I think at a point it becomes a "choose one or the other it's now that permanently."

I cannot for the life of me remember the ruling for that however so take what I say with a grain of salt.
