Paladin who's already been tempted to fall and overcome it, like Gwalchmai

Are there people who unironically like this sort of trash artstyle?

evil paladins > blackguards

Paladins are the knights of old, legendary protectors of all that is good, of the values of law and civilization. They are the glowing heroes of our old tales, the highest examples of heroes.

Blackguards are just the edgelord contrarian version of Paladins. They could be interesting, but nobody who wants to play one wants anything interesting. They just want to be the opposite of whatever they think Paladins are.

So to answer the question, flawed Paladins on a tough path in an uncaring, cruel world are the most interesting, roleplaying them or not.

Blackguards, mostly for my inner edgelord that loves this kind of trash artstyle.
But also because "The blackguard rises" is a way cooler story arc than the way most falling paladins turn out.

Paladin of Tyranny(3e)/Conquest(5e)
You get to mix the noble, chivalrous knight with the utter bastard together which is a really characterful combination.

Saying that you like bad art doesn't make it any better. You're not clever or funny for trying to hide it under memes and irony
>>
>>61377289
it could use a few less skulls, but otherwise yes

>Blackguard

You mean paladin?

Best answer in the thread.

I'm more interested in Paladins. But it's hard to play a good, satisfying Paladin story because it's difficult to be the sort of person that ought to be a Paladin, and to get a DM who's on the same page.
