TFcon 2017 haulGot a ton of Perfect Effect kits and a few figs
>>6424337Captured Prey booth had a number of TR Ramhorns, picked one up before they were all gone(Shuffler/Repugnus was cleared out first, missed out)He's pretty sweet, head is cool, TM face is painted, tank is fun, rhino is cute
>>6424337Who's the guy in the black and yellow?
>>6424343Paid too much for the clone 2-pack at TFsource's boothThey are bretty cool, very short, no accessories
>>6424345Botcon 2016 Tigatron
>>6424347Made from worst car mold (Breakdown) so he kind of sucks
>>6424345Even the "normal" price of $40 is twice what they should be worth.
>>6424348His face is kind of derp, but what you gonna do
>>6424350Botcon 2016 Unit-3
>>6424350Now take a pic of the side of his head.
>>6424344Unit 3, an homage to a mcdonalds toy.>>6424350The deco is nice but the cw cat head was the worst funbup pulled off, maybe use the body for a custom?
>>6424351This guy I have really been wanting, best deco of the Dead-End mold imo
>>6424337That's like every set but the G2 redecos. How much were those PE kits?
>>6424355Really, really dig it
>>6424345Can't wait to get those guys. If only I could get a fucking Pounce, I'd even trade a Fastlane for one.
>>6424357I mean check out this paint on the face
>>6424360All in all a sweet TFCon for meGonna be fun to hook up all these PE kits
>>6424337Weird I didn't see you today. Did you come or just got lazy and stayed home?
>>6424343Still hoping takara re-uses Ramhorns/Doubledealers titanmaster body for Buster.
Seller gave me money for the Minimus fuck up, so at least that had a happy ending (found out seconds before I started a claim, that would have been awkward).
>>6424364In town on Friday, Hilton overnight, head home Saturday afternoonWould have liked to stay all weekend, maybe next year
>>6424370Oh I thought you went for all 3 days or even just the weekend since you live like downtown Toronto.
>>6424349I especially regret jumping on them when I saw them, later found them for five bucks cheaper at another booth>>6424353As requested>>6424356Most were 40, one was 45, got really lucky and found three of them at one table for 25 each
>>6424337How much did you spend on Gummy head Tigertron?
>>6424354Now I want to get this little guy tooThe McD's toy he's based on, the "under 3" year-old toy from the first line of Beast Wars Happy Meal toys
>>6424388Not my pic, but to compare>>6424385A bit more than I would have liked (100)Found two others of him for 45 & 50 respectively, but they were both loose & bagged Both of these Botcons were still sealed in their original bags
>>6424337do you like the wingspan and cloudraker?
>>6424419I'll probably be more excited when I pick up the remaining clones (didn't grab the box sets)Their limb movement range is a bit limited, and they have slight balance issues, but they're alrightTMs have designated 'sit spots' on bothWingspan's is undocumented in the instructions, but you can plainly see it in the middle of the bird's back, it's even got the little divot for the back of TM's feet
>>6424392Why did you pay twice as much for sealed original packaging only to open it?
>>6424458If it's been unopened, joints should still be goodNot excusing the high price though, felt a bit ripped off - should have tried to haggle it down more
>>6424432I was hoping someone would post this
>This is being release again in TRUShould people already have the previous TRU release get another one?
>>6424495>buying hasbro MPs>ever
>>6424495>Should people already have the previous TRU release get another one?No, for what fucking reason?
>>6424495Even if you wanted to for some fucking reason, previous MP rereleases have taught me that Hasbro's going to nuke the quality down the shitter even harder than the first release.
>>6424366Do we know if LG Kickback is still using rubber for the entire head and excessive clear plastic?I really want Doubledealer, but I'm not sure if I'd want that Kickback.
>>6424350>His face is kind of derp, but what you gonna doNot waste money on literal trash figures? I mean, there were probably actual good TF figures you could've put money to, but instead you bought Spearmint Face.
>>6424520The head in that photo is clearly rubber.
>>6424520I wanted Clouder, but no way am I getting rubber back.
>>6424520Can someone try and explain why they'd use rubber on certain figures? In some it made sense, in others it's just pointless. -Skullcruncher has rubber teeth and that made sense, but then the hatch for the TM is also rubber for some reason.-Mindwipe has a rubber head to prevent the delicate ears from breaking (would have preferred a less animalish head if it meant it wasn't made of rubber), but then the wing tips and the smaller wings are also rubber when the didn't need to be.-Weirdwolf has rubber for no fucking reason since the teeth he has don't look sharp or pointy enough, and the cockpit hatch doesn't benefit at all from being rubber and you can't even make out the figure through the rubber.-Don't have Kickback, someone fill me in on his issues and rubber usage-All CW jets using rubber tips, then TR Megatron just having a solid plastic nosecone.
>>6424550For Skullcruncher, Mindwipe, and Weirdwolf, they probably shoved all the rubber bits on the same mold, rather than whatever mold they were doing the plastic on. So thats a casualty of cost cutting, really.Kickback is really fucking weird, because nothing else is rubber, so they must've put the head for Kickback on some OTHER mold somewhere, probably.CW Jet's probably have rubber nosecones because muh childrens, and because they probably only needed one mold to do it so they just threw them all on one mold and did'em en-mass.
>>6424527M-maybe it's just a prototype?>>6424550>SkullcruncherHatch would be hard to open if it wasn't rubber. They could have designed it differently though.>MindwipeI suspect the wing tips were actually designed to be in solid plastic, but then they realised that they wouldn't peg in properly as legs. So instead of redesigning the whole thing they just changed it to rubber.>>6424552I could understand if the antennae were rubber, but yeah the whole head is ridiculous.
>>6424550They decided to cast Kickback head in a single piece of plastic, which means it's going to be rubber due to the antennas
Not having a Kickback in hand, I have no idea if the antenna being cast in normal plastic would have led to breakage issue, they seem thick enough in the pics. That being said, that mold has more issues than just rubber, with the toy having all the black being painted over clear yellow plastic, and the worst cockpit of any legends figure to the point it would have been better off to nix it.
>>6424343I'm annoyed. It seems like my local shelves are passing on Wave 4 & 5 titanmasters and taobao doesn't have Ramhorn yet.
>>6424325He still looks off without the giant backpack. Maybe it's because his chest doesn't transform into anything.
>>6424325>the secret to a good looking Aoe/TLK prime is partsforming half the truckDo we know the character artist for AoE and TLK's name?
>>6424574I thought they still were using Nizzi.
>Connects them to form a large bae>You titan maser can talk to a wall
Left or right?
>>6424574The toy badly needed a redesign, and since its technically the second version I guess they saw only to just half the rear of the truck parts form, thus 2.5.Only way to improve the look is a whole new mold and while all versions are lacking in deco the voyager is better hands down. And here I am retarded enough to pre-order caliber prime WHILE painting the voyager to look like it, I'm doomed to forever part with money
I desire a primus figure, how much are they worth?>without omegalock>withI just want him for a planet diorama so his planet shell has to be complete (ass flap, toes) but am aware the omega lock isn't necessary. My country won't stock the redeco sadly, so what is a good price range, no point ripping my wallet apart for an old unboxed figure right?$85usd with the lock and $50usd without the omega lock, right?Don't give a shit about little keys or missiles either, nor the unicron head thingie
>>6424574It's another case of concept art with no idea how it tf's yet and a budget crunch. I've got DMK 03 for my Knight Prime and likely will be my only version of him until something amazing comes out.
>>6424680Right, I want there to be a Calibur Optimusfor me when I get more money.
>>6424704So...you'll buy the right to save money to later buy caliber prime?Wouldn't you just buy the left outright and not buy a 2nd figure which would invalidate the first purchase?
>>6424696I've already seen some structurally complete Primus without the lock on Ebay for like 30 or so. Just keep on the lookout for one.
>>6424706What? I thought he was asking what he should get.
>>6424711I was looking for the last few weeks, only saw one like that but as usual, missing the ass flap.I'm also not based in the US and my ebay results are coming up limited as a result
Speaking about the planetbots, are these two worth 1.000 USD on a combined lot? One one hand they both easily look like the best versions of Primus and Unicron around, but on the other hand it feels like an absolute middle finger considering how the original Armada / Cybertron versions of each of these figures cost maybe 50 USD each on a mildly decent loose state. Are they worth the investment or should I just go with Cybertron Primus and maybe look for the 30th movie anniversary Hasbro re-release of Unicron instead?
>>6424712And I thought anon was buying the hasbro version to try to save money to later buy the other one ie buying both?Maybe I read it wrong but I'm just confused.>>6424716What contempt, I'd be fine if he was just buying the hasbro one...on its own (hay someone might like the deco and fact it doesn't parts form, it'll be easier to store loose because lack of chrome too).
>>6424725I don't think they are worth that much but if you're getting those versions specifically it'll be that much.
Anyone waiting it out to see if they make a new version of Unicron and Primus? I think they could do a better job.
>>6424725Considering you can buy either from mandarake for around 25,000yen each convert that (second hand mind you but japanese collectors are careful collectors) and see how you go.I like their deco's the best but price wise no thanks, the platinum unicron is supposedly getting a reissue this month or the next but as for primus for the best price hunt around ebay
>>6424734>unicronPossible, when though is a big question considering the last titan vote had 3 choices, we could get omega or scorponok before another, larger unicron figure. As for primus...up in limbo, it would make the most sense to have him as the titan for the new generations based line there is little to back him up other than the old marvel comics and armada which isn't talked about much these days and that redeco ain't doing him favors. But hay, anything is possible, Im personally fine with the current 2 but would gladly sell both for a unicron that makes gen metroplex look like a manlet
>>6424734I think the only thing they can do is to bump up the sizes to titan class.
>>6424747>dat trans metal 2 megatronIs that...hasbro?
>>6424740>but would gladly sell both for a unicron that makes gen metroplex look like a manletThat would have to be an inhumanely massive figure. As in, probably the size of an entire display to beat Metroplex / Fortress and just marginally scale up with Deluxes and Voyagers.>>6424747Nice stuff, but>TM MegatronOh my, you're in for a world of brown plastic pain.
>>6424749>>6424751It's the Takara version.
>>6424752Ah, lucky you then.
>>6424752Nice work anon!
>>6424754>>6424758paid a decent amount but it was worth it. it's been a grail of mine for eons now as was Artfire, Stepper, Megazarak and even Quake and Perceptor who i never saw at retail.
>>6424747Had to post your haul in 2 threads?
>>6424696You should be able to find one fairly cheap. Those fuckers shelfwarmed so hard over here that they got discounted to like 15 bucks.
>>6424498This. I bought a few and regretted it. They're expensive as fuck and the QC is garbaggio.
>>6424841Be glad you aren't a seeker collector, they've been on a decline and the worst one was starscream, best ones were thundercracker and acidstorm, even a loose one I bought from overseas performs better than hasbro starscream. But one thing I'll give them, while all hasbro mp's aren't perfect, none of them fucked up as bad as this fucker right here.I love and hate my conehead mp's so much
>>6424734Transformers 6 Armada retool for you
>>6424734I could see it happening in 2020 or 2021.
Got Banzaitron in a few days ago along with a few HFTD figures I paid way too much for and since I was never able to find Bludgeon I really like this mold. I love posing it with my Nemesis Beast Hunter Prime.
I'm such a fucking retard, I was looking at my previous purchases on ebay, to find a seller I liked and I noticed...I ordered a DOTM Space Case ages ego and never got it. Part of a big order which I received so I guess the seller just forgot to add it but still. I'm so mad at myself.
>>6424922Least you didn't spend a couple grand on premium collectables.I'm STILL waiting on my mp primal and my bank ain't helping me with charge backs unlike a few others who somehow made them listen.
>>6424924How can they go over half a year without actually shipping someone's order? That's just crazy
>>6424924But I really wanted that Space Case, I havent got a version of the terradive mold. How could I miss it ? I even left the seller a positive evaluation for it (Guess I was just copy and pasting the same message without really looking...)
>>6424928For a time they were amazing, $150aud for mp delta magnus shipped, but little by little things kept fucking up, the first signs were when mp ramjet came to play, many didn't receive theirs although apparently one guy got his 2 weeks ago, many got refunds. But as time went on their emails went unanswered, they claimed they had a new "team" to address that, not only are they only selectively answering questions but what was supposed to be a backlog became an eternity, and when they do answer they just say "insert item here is to to arrive at insert begining/end of month here" with a generic "sorry about the service we're clogged up" header.I want to be one of those lucky people who got their lg ginrai's at the least>>6424929I hear you bud, you should of been more careful for next time, examine shit carefully.Last time I bought something on ebay I had to send it to a friend to hold it for me, I made him pop the item open an examine it, he ain't no expert but clear instructions meant timely inspections. So far only guy who screwed me over on ebay simply claimed he went the item (mp ironhide) to the wrong address and stopped answering emails, then paypal sent me a random chargeback saying he didn't even have a paypal account. So in short, examine carefully and even look back at listings, I'm primus anon and let me tell ya this level of prep to find an intact primus at a good price and then to inspect the thing when it arrives(transformations and all, with or without the key) makes me feel autistic....of course said autism lead me to transform mp36, fffffffuuuuuuuuck man
>>6424819I'm bitter and jealous and your not helping
>>6424734>Anyone waiting it out to see if they make a new version of Unicron and Primus?I am sure we'll see another Unicron someday.>I think they could do a better job.Not on your life with the current market!
>>6424924>>6424941Did you use paypal? This is why you should use paypal. Paypal is really good about dealing with chargebacks.
>>6425069No, I trusted them with 10 orders prior and simply thought the ramjet thing was because they only made 1000 of them. This is why now every purchase must be with a big company I know or use paypal, this shit ain't happening ever again
>>6424871I forgot about that Prime. That's another figure that is someone made it a bit heftier and added a few more points of articulation in, would be amazing.
>>6425083I got him a few weeks ago for 10 bucks loose in excellent condition and its my first nemesis prime and my only other japanese figure besides gekisomaru so its kinda special to me. The articulation itself isn't perfect, but i love the nemesis color scheme and it kinda works as like a dark knight.
>>6425093It's my favorite Nemesis Prime. The Beast Hunters aesthetic works especially well with the evil Prime theme.
>>6425103I gotta get Dark Energon Wheeljack, I love that mold and that translucent blue looks so good.
>>6425103I was considering him for a while for Guiltaur but I didn't know if it has a faceplate of not. The headsculpt with the mouth is ugly as fuck.
>>6425006Instead of this why not an oversized Unicron? I'd kill for a child-sized Unicron.
>>6425142*had a faceplate or not
>>6425076Have you tried calling their company every single fucking day until they get tired of you? Because thats what I'd do. Every company has contact info somewhere.
The tabs on Twintwist's arms need to be sanded but you can swap parts with his brother to make Twin Spin and Top Twist.
>>6425144Because their OS Unicron is going to be the size of an adult, obviously.
>>6425161It looks so...Wrong, seeing them in pure blue/white color schemes like that.
>>6425160Email only, they've been known to block people who spam their social media (which, is rather responsive unlike their customer service email) , no phone numbers. All we've deducted from their sending address is they have a rather nice house in queensland australia
>>6425172So does tr kup's face
>>6425175Does your country have an equivilent of the Better Business Bureau or anything? Something that will completely shit up their reputation if they don't get working and give you shit you paid for months ago? Because you really need to do some leg work here, it seems. I completely wouldn't stand for that kind of shit.
>>6425176Someones parents didn't love them and buy them toys in the 80's, I see. Because if they did, they'd know thats the color of Kup.
>>6425178We tried for a group action with ours, they basically said try asking the police. Some of the luckier ones have gotten charge backs, others just left angry reviews on numerous sites, and even quit collecting. They have the Australian tf community split, the private fb group sings nothing but praise and anyone mouthing off gets silenced, where's the public web forum and most of its members are the ones trying to take action. If they send my primal any time soon I might forgive them
>>6425180It's not the color scheme. It's the headsculpt itself that's disgusting. Takara's is 100% better.
>>6425183>We tried for a group action with ours, they basically said try asking the police.Try with them again, and if they say the same, fuck it, take legal action. It may sound dumb, but when cops and lawyers get involved, that tends to either expose the scams (if they're scamming) or get fires lit under their asses. Then again, thats how it works in the US. Since you sound like you're from Australia, for all I know they'll just laugh at you and all you'll be able to do is chuck syphillitic drop bears into their home compound out in the boonies.
>>6425180>Someones parents>parents...you're right, they didn't, they couldn't.That said I was talking about his head
>>6425183>If they send my primal any time soon I might forgive themIf you've been waiting a year for them to commit to doing the literal bare minimum expected of them as an online retailer, you really shouldn't. You should talk with the police.
>>6425189So was I. Thats accurate to what it represents, toy deco Kup.Also sorry Anon.
>>6425188Someone apparently asked a cop and was given the run around. You've given me an idea that was once laughed at actually, maybe we can refer them to one of those shows where reports chase people around demanding money.Ack, its annoying as fuck, some people got knocked back from chargebacks because they would receive 3 month late replies to emails ruining the process, in my case the bank isn't even communicating with me, maybe because I'm chasing up something so old despite an official letter saying the case began sent 3 days after my call.Doesn't help I'm talking to someone in an indian call center where's other banks have email access for this sorta thing where I can just forward documents online and be done with it, Australia's biggest banks are behind the ball at times.>>6425192Gotta do something, I'll talk to the other victims again. Some used a service called zippay (pay later program) and they got to a point where the company appointed a special representative just to handle refunds in regards to premium collectables (the company), I really wish I was in the same state as PC, I could be more...direct
>>6425180>>6425180>It's justified because it's accurate to the garbage from your childhoodThis is what's ruining this franchise.
>>6425202Yeah, it's justified, because thats his color scheme. Unless you want his other color scheme, from your childhood. In which case go cry to Hasbro that you want cartoon accurate deco's, not toy accurate. Shit, they love re-releasing stuff without having to change anything but the bare minimum.
Speaking of shady sellers there's a bunch of JUST LAUNCHED Amazon accounts selling shit at well below MSRP. They're all being generated by a scam artist who might also be into credit card fraud.Amazon took down the Ramhorn listing after enough people complained, it was being posted at $5.64 dollars for the Titan Master but all 5 or 6 listings were entirely fraudulent sellers. The Amazon Chaos on Velocitron has had shady listings there as well and a bunch of people fell for the In Stock listing when all the people who were selling it were the same shady accounts.
>>6425205>buying from anything with less than a few hundred positive feedback>buying anything from China, everAsking to get scammed, how are people this retarded? Also what you're saying has been happening with the book side of Amazon for a while. So many fucking book scammers, but it's always the same thing-Guy listing at just below MSRP or whatever, and a just launched account.
Random thought: Ultra Magnus version of MP10 that comes with a non-transforming car carrier trailer.I still can't believe they haven't done and Ultra Magnus MP10 repaint
>>6425202Just buy the Takara if you dislike the cartoon deco as much as I disliked the Takara face.
>>6425215Buing knockoffs from china is totally fine. Just make sure seller has decent feedback. If you want the real deal, do NOT buy from china.
>>6425218>>6425229>we'll never get a TR Kup in a perfect color like the Generations one was, either we get 100% blue Hasbroshit or 100% grey Takarashit
>>6425235Man, Sergeant Kup is still objectively the best one around desu.
>>6424464>$100>litteraly the shittiest cw botcon figure>chose to pay double the opened price because it's in a sealed bag that he ripped open anywayGet a load of this chump.
>>6425093How the fuck did you get the Nemesis Prime version for $10?
>>6424325I would be perfect if the arms were more bulked out, and if the chest was smaller
>>6425217Why repaint when they gave him his own proper mold?
>>6424749takara which has no gps
>>6425235Yeah, because hastak never repaints their molds...>>6425241Not by much, he has really wonky elbows and his shoulders don't tab, but at least he got a 3p head t replace the dead noggin he comes with.
>>6425241Honestly, I love the TR version the best. Transformation is clever, and he's all around fun. Only downside is they should've put a tampo on the arms, or something to break them up a bit better.
>>6425235Only compaint I have with the Hasbro one is that the arms are just boring shit. The B&D Metropolis robot arms of the Takara are more fitting for an old fuck and more interesting than the mass of whatever the Hasbro's arms are made of but the fucking old lady face bothers me way too much.
>>6425249I got it at BookOff in NYC along with a mini revoltech eva unit 1. They sell traded in figures for usually decent prices.
What are my options to get a good lone Ratbat?
>>6424381Can someone explain this weird flat head thing Funpub has going on? At first I thought they could only make molds with so much depth or something, but it always seems proportional to the size of the head. It's so damn goofy looking sometimes too.
>>6425300MP Ratbat? Buy a KO off ebay. The Quality is pretty much the same as the real thing from my experience.
>>6424597This gimmick could have been fun, but it's so half assed. The connection points on Blaster/Soundwave are decent, but the ones on Fort Max and Sixshot make no goddamn sense, why would a ramp/gate connect there?
>>6425262I do love that mold, but it kind of highlights a lot of my issues with older Generations releases. People always say that they used to be "more complex", and I guess that's true to a point, but as much as I love Sgt. Kup, his bot mode just has a ton of shit hanging off of it that gets in the way. Yeah, he has more articulation and ankle tilts and whatnot, but... he's kibble city. Newer toys are more simplistic, but they are also way more creative about having a fun, clever transformation that keeps kibble to an absolute minimum.
>>6425235>100% grey TakarashitThey fixed it.
>>6425204I don't want anything from any childhood, you nostalgiacuck. I want shit that looks good.
>>6425300depends, do you want him to be G1 accurate or are you fine with him being his own bot, cause if the latter then there's the old Universe mold for him
>>6425334I don't care if it's G1 accurate but I prefer if he is small. What size class was the closest to the MP cassettes? Scout?
>>6425339There's the RID15.
>>6425325Doesn't help that I can't come up with a base mode for Quickswitch that actually has the wings positions horizontally.
>>6425339You can get the masterpiece ko for cheap, theres also the Fall of Cybertron data disc, spring loaded but fun.
>>6424725>are these two worth 1.000 USD on a combined lotFuck no.
>>6425328Good thing it does look good, because it was well designed, and you just happen to be some kind of retard who hates good designs. Next you'll tell me Bayformers is well designed when it literally flouts every single artistic guideline of composition.
>>6425262All the third party heads are ruined because of that weird mold defect the mouth have.
>>6424725>paying more money for a Unicron with less paint aps.I don't understand this shit. I also don't understand why the new Primus rep- er, Cybetron, is more expensive than Fort Max.
I was visiting family down south for a bit and my father, bless his heart, had picked up RiD Fracture and Windblade just as a random gift for me. I don't really go for the RiD line, but he knows I like Transformers. Fracture is pleasant surprise and a pretty decent figure. Windblade is OK. Fun, but I prefer the generations one despite its flaws. </blog>
Should I get TR Hot Rod, Kup or Windblade?Hot Rod's at retail atm, idk if I'll find the other two
>>6425440your dad sounds really cool anon
>>6425448I think Kup and Windblade are better, but thats me. Then again I own MP Hotrod, and thats the only Hotrod you need, really.
>>6425448Kup is one of the best deluxes in TR line in my opinion.
So Titans Return Blitzwing is pretty damn unerwhelming, but his sword as it turns out is what I have trouble getting over. It's so damn piddly. Is the Thrilling 30 Blitzwing's sword any better? Like worth trying to get on its own?
>>6425448Hotrod if the unpainted mandarine shins don't bother you.
>>6425422>BUT NEW SHIT IS WORSE!!!I'm not him but you sound like a manchild
Just throwing this out there, not sure if I can reach the related party or not. Some Anon a thread or two back was looking for Shuffler & Repugnus and I offered to get them from my local TRU. They're still in stock and the offer still stands if you're still interested in me proxying them for you.
New here, watched the bay films but found a magazine/comic book whilst tidying.Read a story called Target: 2006 and enjoyed it.What do now?Anyone got a link to more comics? Or any advice on where to start.
>>6425612Anywhere but IDW.
>>6425501I found the Megatron version looked better if you reduced the legs a bit. Instead of locking the knee, leave it at the back touching the back of the leg.And on the T30 weapons, those are pretty sweet, way better than the TR weapons, but T30 Blitz is awful and actually gets worse with time so I don't recommend it unless you really want those weapons.
>>6425322>Newer toys are more simplistic, but they are also way more creative about having a fun, clever transformation that keeps kibble to an absolute minimum. And I think in a lot of cases that works to its detriment since being so simplistic highlights the obvious flaws. A lack of paint or elbows that don't go the right fucking way are way less harmful to detailed molds than they are the really simplistic box-bodied ones we have now.
>>6425613What's wrong with them? Asking generally, new to Transformers.I remember I played the PS2 Transformers game and enjoyed the heck out of it.Something along those lines?May dig it out and have a play through.

>>6425624Because according to /co/, the only acceptable things to talk about are MTMTE/Lost Light, James Roberts and gay robots. Anything good is not to be talked about.
>>6425623I tend to go over their forums for Legends comics, and news. Their forums are awful, I don't have any accounts in them.
>>6425624>Why isn't there a /co/ general?there used to be, but the guy that started most of the threads was going to dental school, and the assumption is they ended up getting a job, and just didn't have the time.
>>6425624>Why isn't there a /co/ general? There is. Just /co/ is very fast moving compared to /toy/. Here a thread can last for a solid week with no posts and still be on the board. On /co/ you can't even go 4 hours before a thread is gone unless it has a constant stream of posts.
>>6425627But I'm not into gay robots.
>>6425715>not liking gay robotsBut they like you, Anon.
>>6425721Well they can be gay all they want, I get nothing out of it. Guy and Girl though, that I get a lot out of.Almost makes me want to buy this Ironhide since CW Ironhide is so awful, but everyone tells me not to.
>>6425727CW is an ok figure, but his plastic stresses easily and his head makes Ironhide look too young.
>>6425742As a toy, it's okay, but it doesn't feel like Ironhide visually.
What is the name of that hasbro headmaster set takara put out a while ago?I feel like making an irresponsible purchase if I find one.
>Minimus finally on Ebay>15 bucksFuck.
>>6425848$15 is a good deal you poorfag. It's the only reason to even buy the Hasbro version of that Magnus toy in the first place.
>>6425727He's...ok. Not a great figure and his alt mode is covered in cut lines and bot mode leaves a lot to be desired. Despite being such a main character, Ironhide has never really gotten a decent representation. Even from 3rd party. At chug scale, that is.
>>6425849I bought Magnus on Ebay, mine didn't have a Minimus.
>playing with the TM gimmick, put Fangry on Skullsmasher's body>"eh, it looks alright i guess">take it out and put skullsmasher's head back>port is loose as fuck>head is barely held by the port even after using the stupid meme exorcist head configuration>can't tell if port has cracked but it wouldn't matter anyway>mfw

>>6425324still very dull
>>6425324I like both, I hope the gray one gets released at some point.>>6425917I heard it was going to be an Amazon exclusive, but nothing conclusive.
>>6425928Oh, and going by the Mission to Cybertron two pack, expect a hefty price point (40 or higher).
>>6425932That's fine, as long as its not a walgreens exclusive, I bought a clone 2pack for $40 because ill never be able to find one since all the walgreens in my area either have scourge or so many Finns from star wars the black series taking up more space then necessary, that they will never get anything new.
>>6425866Your inability to have fun is sad, Anon.
>>6425872Not gonna lie. That Optimus Prime looks pretty sweet. I'm happy for those people who like the 4/5 design.
>>6425849I bet you'd pay 19 bucks for a Seaspray.
>>6425946It's pretty nice, a definite step up over the Leader but he could have been better (with arm swivels his sword poses would have been amazing, and a thicker shield with the gun that's missing)Evasion Prime's still better, but that guy was ridiculously good for a voyager.
>>6425950It pisses me off to an unreasonable degree when they don't give sword guys wrist swivels, it's such a necessary bit of articulation. I'd also like to see them able to tilt their wrists down but that never happens, even expensive figures just mold the sword hand at a slight angle and maybe have some wiggle if it's ball jointed wrists.
>>6425958It's a problem for gun-users too, like Generations Voyager Roadbuster, that figure could have been awesome if he was made proper, but the turnout was an absolute disaster that doesn't even work the way it was meant to.
>>6425958It happens sometimes. WFC Prime for example. It had the tilt joint for transformation, and a swivel just because the designers back then had souls.Skullcruncher has it too. Forearm swivel in addition to upper arm swivel gives him pseudo wrist swivels.
>>6424928What's really crazy is that they still have people wondering if they should place more preorders with them. I just don't get it.
>>6425976Skullcrunchers needs them to get a convincing beast mode, though. WFC Prime didn't.
Serious question. Aside from Grimlock's filed down teeth and platinum Soundwave's clear plastic, in what way are the hasbro MPs lower quality than the takara versions?
>>6426010Sometimes they're looser because they didn't think the molds needed fixing beforehand. Sometimes they fix problems the Japanese releases had though. It's really a crap shoot, the only way to know is to see when it comes out.tl;dr Wait on it. Especially if it's another release of Optimus. He's gotten a bajillion releases. Shit, BBTS STILL has Hasbro Optimus' from the last time they released him.
>>6425962Oh, absolutely, wrist swivels really should be considered part of the minimum requirements for articulation, but it especially effects sword users. I love Voyager TLK Optimus despite the locked feet and knee-range-limiting moon boots, but the lack of wrist swivels is just a punch in the dick.
>>6426010Hasbro's Rodimus Prime was supposidely destined to self-destruct, never owned it myself
>>6426017Fair enough. I was more worried about mold degradation, since there have been so many reissues of Prime 10.
Okay, just what the fuck?Bought this off BBTS a couple months ago and has stayed on a shelf in helicopter mode for most of that time. i pick it up today to find that the tail has become untabbed and that this part is bent and stressed, with cracks on both sides.Granted, this toy right out of the box I could never get to tab perfectly, and this really pisses me off because I enjoyed him otherwise.Any way I could get a return or refund for this to anyone's knowledge?
>>6426034weird, usually it's the car windows that break.
>>6426034>Saw the file name>Thought you were making a cool party pun>It's thatOh man, anon, that sucks. Sorry to see that happened.
>>6426010Less paint applications, in certain cases less chrome, generally lower quality plastic (this isn't that noticeable on some MPs though though)
TR Megatron would make a great G2 Megatron if they replaced the front part of the fusion cannon with the railgun, added a small gun, and redid the chest piece so it resemble's the front of a tank more.As it stands, he actually looks pretty nice.
>>6426089Oops, forgot the pic. And yeah, the legs are mistransformed, I like the proportions more this way.Anyway, does anyone know if the back of the seat gun is meant to connect to anything? It has 2 notches and a peg so I don't know what that's for.
>>6426096I wanted one of those so bad as a little kid.
>>6426076Oh you'll get plenty of paint apps on your Hasbro MPs.The question will be is if you'll want them.
>>6426034>all your favorite toys will turn to dust before you grow out of being a manchildFeels bad man.
>>6424520>excessive clear plasticWtf are you talking about
>>6424560>with the toy having all the black being painted over clear yellow plasticWhat the fuck are you talking about that's not true
>>6426160Someone unscrewed theirs, and at least the torso is clear yellow plastic painted over. Why are you so angry, anyway?
>>6426157The entire torso is cast in clear plastic and painted black.
>>6426100The notches allow it to attach to the holes in the front of the legs in Jet mode
>>6426167i think he tried to defend his crappy toy
should i get misb foc deluxe for $20?there's jazz, bee and shockwave which one is the best pick?

>>6426221>>6426224arent those Bees worth like a shitton now though?
>>6426221Jazz and Shockwave both got repaints with much better weapons. Comes down to if you're getting them for the character or for fun.Bee is from WFC which just means it's a better value for a deluxe.
>>6426221That bumblebee is horrible. The vehicle panels are difficult to line up.

Aren't there usually leaks (like poorly scanned images) before SDCC?. I can always wait but I seem to remember there usually being leaks in the past prior to SDCC and this year seems oddly quiet on most toy lines.
>>6425618>whats wrong with themThis is coming from a g1 fanboy so take this sas it comes....it takes the characters you grew up with, even some you may of only knew as toys, and gives them lives, lives that would fit our modern first world society, what does that mean?>trans genders>same sex couples>politics >MUH GRILL POWERThe action stuff is amazing but a fair bit of it needs to be ignored, this ain't the g1 I grew up with as a kid with a campy feel this is something with bite for the fedora lovers. There is only one reason why I don't hate it entirely, its because starscream is the mother fucking ruler of cybertron and not because of conquest but because it was handed to him, leaving him stuck between doing good and doing as he wants. The moments he does good leaves me mixed but when he just does as one expects him to do brings tears to my eyes, even better when he's making a gay relationship work in a horrible sly way he does best (no he ain't in it, he just manipulated events to his favor). All hail starscream
