Seeing how it looks just like friction peg holes on the ribbons by her wrists - I have to wonder whether or not they might end up including extra parts to swap for wings and ribbons so she can be a standard figure too. Maybe as an exclusive bonus?
>>
>>6681268
>>6681274
The fuck are you talking about? The statue was exclusive to MegaHouse's webshop.

>>6681280
There's no incentive for them to do so. She's not meant to be displayed without the transforming parts. This isn't a product feature, it's whatever degenerate otaku Bandai has running their waifu figures blog showing that he could remove the kibble off her back. He also mentions multiple times that this is just a prototype sample and may not reflect the production version, so who knows maybe the peg will be glued to her back for extra stability in the final release and that's why they never mentioned it on the product page.
>>
>>6681298
Precisely. I don't get the people here.

tentomon might be like number six, seeing how we have the released wargreymon, metalgarurumon next month, diaboromon in march, angewomon in may, and alphamon is probably after angewomon, which if it follows the precedent set by the others, would be out in july.

So assuming that tentomon is out as the 6th entry, and they follow the usual one-figure-every-two-months, then he would be dropping september 2018.

I pointed it out last thread that the connection point for the wings was one single peg. I also mentioned that all one had to do was make up new wings and add in a bit of the ribbon that goes over her head.

And considering how many other figures and even gunpla model kits have angel wings one could use, the wings should be pretty easy to handle. Heck I recall ages ago seeing someone in shinki post some custom articulated wings he made using a Pegasus from SafariLTD.

>Implying the anons who like the Digimon transforming figures are the ones that can't comprehend something and are mad about it

Seems to me that it's the other way around, people here should understand already that the Digimon figuarts line is fucking dead.

Bandai never really gave a shit to make it work and most releases were subpar, on the other hand they are showing great dedication to the Digivolving Spirits line. The guys in charge just like this concept way better, and there's nothing you can do to change that at this point. There's a shitton of other franchises and figures to enjoy, just move on and stop complaining about what it could have been, it's just a waste of time.

Wish they'd go further than Tamers. They rerelease the same 5 or so Digimon all the time. Omega, Wargrey, MetalGaru, Alpha and Duke. At least revive the mini figures that were sold in the US back in the day. They advertised figures that never got released.

well at least we are finally getting more then that with this Digivolving line. As long as the line doesn't crash and burn that is. But fortunately Tentomon should at least be coming out before they decided things aren't selling that well. Maybe, hopefully.
>>
>>6694117
Between WarGreymon, MetalGarurumon and Waifumon. I think there might be some hope for this line continuing. The fact they transform also brings in an additional customer base that wouldn't normally be interested in Digimon figures otherwise.
>>
>>6694745
From what I understand the reason Bandai is going all in with this line is because it's what the Japanese consumer base wanted. I really love my Wargreymon. He's a bit flawed but he's an incredibly fun toy.

It's kind of fun to have a gimmicky collectors line like this personally. And Bandai is going all in. Alphamon, Gallantmon, and Tentomon prototypes have been shown off and the tease at Biyomon and Patamon showed that they were pretty far along in the design process. I'm really interested in how Gomamon is going to turn out the most.
>>
>>6690946
Tamers was the last successful classic season for Japan. Frontier and Savers both had cancelled toylines. Though the cancelled Savers toys got SEA releases. The fact that none of these have been labeled as exclusive is showing that not only did the Japanese want this type of line, but so did the other Asian regions.
>>
>>6701029
not looking forward to be kibbly messes. No idea why theyre even doing Rookie>Ultimate when it's always been Champion>Ultimate
>>
>>6701238
Likely because they wanted the rookies with their more iconic ultimate forms.
>>
>>6701238
The staff said they wanted to celebrate the franchise's juxtaposition of cute monsters with cool transformations, not to mention to showcase the other Chosen Children's strongest forms in-series.
>>
>>6701238
I wouldn't call them kibbly messes at all. The only real kibble that they'll have is the giant heads that they aren't willing to comprise on, by leaving them as solid masks.

>doing Rookie>Ultimate when it's always been Champion>Ultimate
Because it would look weird if everyone is champion->ultimate but only the first two being rookie->mega? Not canon-wise but display-wise. This way you can have a full team of all rookies versus two rookies and 6 champions (of the same size too).
>>
>>6701325
Plus five of the champions already had toys like this and they didn't want to retread old ground too much.
>>
>>6701325
>The only real kibble that they'll have is the giant heads that they aren't willing to comprise on, by leaving them as solid masks.
The only real kibble are those giant shells of plastic that encompass 50% of the toy?
Thank god!
>>
>>6701608
They're pretty easy to ignore on most of the line though. Metalgarurumon is pretty much perfect, Diaboromon, and Alphamon are also pretty top-notch with their using their kibble. Magnaangemon, Tentomon, Dukemon, and Garudamon also look to be using it pretty well judging from the little we've seen of them. The only real mess is Angewomon, and Wargreymon is kibbly but hardly a mess.

I'm sorry if they're not for you but I'm enjoying this line so far. It's refreshing and rather nostaglic for me. I love that they're doing new molds and characters too instead of retreading old figures.
>>
>>6701325
but Champion>Ultimate still works both-wise. since the evolutions are just adding parts or nearly matching parts of the previous form, it's a lot easier for kibble to be an actual part of both modes.

in any case, i do believe that Tento and Palmon will do just fine since the colors match

The Tamers Rookie to Mega transforming figures are pretty strong. They'll just need a bit of modern engineering touches.
>>
>>6701608
Of the ones released and shown, the only one with actual rookie-head kibble is Angewomon. The others use the heads as either capes or wings.

>Wargreymon
Head splits into wings

>Metalgarurumon
actually completely hidden inside chest

>Diablomon
folded inside its shoulder pads

>Angewomon
Yeah....this one was just impossible if they weren't willing to split the head like Agumons to form wings...

>Alphamon
head splits and forms bottom half of his "cape"

>Atlurkabuterimon
Protofoam-type shown head hides completely inside shell/body

From the scans

>Maganangemon
Seems like it will just hang off near the waist like Wargreymon. Shame they wont split his head into wings instead...

>Garudamon
Head splits to form wings
>>
>>6701664
I actually think that rookie -> Ultimate works a lot better in terms of kibble. The rookies have giant heads so most of the Ultimate form parts can be hidden inside, allowing for a clean rookie form and a clean - if only from the front - ultimate form.

Actually Magnangemon seems to be a near 1:1 of the old Angemon figure but with small piece of Patamon's butt hanging off the back to give the wings a more natural curvature. I really hope he includes his armblade.

And on that subject I hope Zudomon actually does includes his hammer. He's going to be a real interesting one. Everyone else is a comparatively simple.
>>
>>6702935
>I really hope he includes his armblade.

You can clearly see Excalibur in his arm here >>6701029

>And on that subject I hope Zudomon actually does includes his hammer.

Are you seriously implying there's even a minimal chance of them not including it? Zudomon always carries the hammer, is part of his normal design. It's not like Angewomon's bow that only appears when she needs to shoot the Holy Arrow. They even included it in the prototype drawings, there's no need to "hope" for anything.

It's honestly beyond me how a transforming, throwback toy based on something from over a decade ago is the best version of Wargreymon we've gotten. The proportions and head are like a million times better than the Figuarts and it isn't a floppy mess like the D-Arts. Even with back kibble it looks amazing. It may just be because the original was one of my favorite toys as a kid bit I absolutely love this thing. The price was a bit steep but honestly it was worth it.
>>

>It's honestly beyond me how a transforming, throwback toy based on something from over a decade ago is the best version of Wargreymon we've gotten

Bandai actually cares about this line, and it shows. Some of the young designers had the original toys when they were kids.
>>

I was initially only in it for Wargreymon just for the nostalgia. But after they showed off best boy Tentomon I knew that I would have to get the whole line. Yikes, I just ordered Diaboromon the other day because I decided I needed him to fight my Omnimon. I sure hope those shoulders look good from other angles...

Metalgarurumon looks thicc but I can dig it.

>>6705150
Man, the new one looks really good! I'm trying to be really particular about what I spend money on currently, but Wargreymon especially looks nice. I'm conflicted on if I should go for him or not considering I already have both the D-arts and the original Digivolver... How poseable is this guy? His paint job and proportions look do nice...

>>6707643
Damn, he really DOES look like the best version we've gotten so far. This really makes me sad. I'm considering it even more now. Do you think he'll skyrocket in price later on down the line? Trying to weigh if I should jump now, or if I can probably wait to get him.
>>
>>6716014
He got a US release so he probably won't balloon too quickly.

Also >>6707919 The shoulders seem to not be closed properly in that image. As you can see here, and in other shots we've gotten in the past, those parts look to be flush.
>>
>>6714697
>Fat MetalGarurumon
>>
>>6716014
So long as you display the Diaboromon at eye-level or higher, it looks good. The only horrendous part is the "half-shoulder" and you can mitigate that quite a bit with proper positioning and angling, like they do on the sites and stock photos.

However, due to the way it transforms, I highly doubt the shoulders will rotate to allow the arms any movement beyond what the shoulder-restrictions. Same with the torse, sadly.

But as a static display piece, I'm fairly certain its a solid choice!

I also own the original Digivolver and the D-Arts, and I can say without a doubt that the Digivolving Spirits version is the best one.

>How poseable is this guy?

A bit awkward even if it's only missing the waist joint due to the transformation. But you can get some decent poses nonetheless.
>>
Is there an Omnimon that scaled well with Diaboromon?
>>
>>6717009
Pretty sure your best bet is the figuarts. Or d-arts if you prefer that one, but it's pretty pricey
>>
>>6716014
Dude get him now. He's only $50 on amiami right now.
>>
>>6714697
Can't fucking wait. Who else is going all in on this line?
>>
>>6717113
I'm thinking on buying most of them if MetalGarurumon is as good as WarGreymon.
>>
>>6717141
If he's as good as Wargreymon we're in for on hell of a ride. I'm so pumped. This line better live long enough to at least get the original 8 Mons out.
>>
>>6717113
If I was more willing to drop the income on these, I would be. That said, I'll probably pick up one of the later figures once they're up for sale.
>>
>>6717009
Pretty sure they said in an interview that Diaboromon was designed to scale well with the figuarts (and d-arts) Omegamon.

>>6717141
>>6717147
Metalgarurumon was designed the same way as Wargreymon, as in, its just an updated version of the old digivolving figure. They've shown that they've already fixed the obvious flaws, head sculpt and colors, so its almost guaranteed to be just as good - if not better - than Wargreymon.

Actually, wasn't the old metalgarurumon toy better than the old wargreymon one, at least in terms of hiding kibble? At least in the mega-forms.
>>
>>6717672
When I talked about MetalGarurumon being as good as Wargreymon I was thinking about quality control and joint tightness, not in terms of how the transformation works or show accuracy (that's already obvious going by the pictures).
>>
>>6717672
Yes it was better. The biggest problem with MetalGarurumon was the shitty legs and the new toy is fixing that.
>>
>>6717765
QC shouldn't really be a problem although the tightness of some joints could be reduced a little. Feels like I'm going to pop his feet out of the socket every time I flip the feet around when transforming it.
>>
Has anyone gotten shit boxes?

I ordered my Wargreymon from Amazon and it has a light scuff, an incredibly minor chip off the chest and two black dots on the plastic claws
>>
>>6722629
Got mine on AmiAmi. It was in perfect condition. Just email a claim to Amazon that your product was defective.
>>
Video showing how to transform it from Gabumon to Metalgarurumon.

Pretty excited for this weekend delivery now!

I like how they put gato/tailmon behind tentomon because they know she can't sit.
Also there's a stand under tentomon. I really hope that isn't necessary to hold him up

He is carrying half his mass on his back.
>>
>>6728623
Even if it isn't absolutely necessary I would still use it. The body seems too heavy for the leg joints, after a while they can get loose if a stand isn't used. Same with Diablomon.
>>
>>6728677

so that's a yes then
>>
>>6728681
It's a maybe?

It all depends on where the die-cast parts are.

Not sure if the tentomon display unit is a "finished" product with metal parts of not. If it isn't, then the stand could just be there to prop it up for display purposes only. However, if it IS a "finished product" then it probably will need the stand or else they'd pose it without one. That or they suck at posing, which they kind of do.
>>
>>6713715
>$5000
You what?
>>
>>6728708
Diablomon includes a stand and Tentomon will include it too. They're just too heavy for their scrawny limbs to hold them for long periods of time without the risk of loose joints.
>>
>>6728742
Diablomon is completely different though? Diablomon is 80% shoulders with spaghetti legs, and even WITH the stand, they had to give him die-cast joints (probably purely for holding a pose).

Tentomon, on the other hand, seems like it should balance itself quite easily if the tenotmon head weighs enough to counter-balance whatever is inside its shell. Assuming most of the weight is at that back since that's where the stand is...

But I do agree with you 100% that the ball joints will loosen overtime faster without a stand.
>>
>>6705089
I'll buy some off you EASY. For sure.
>>
I've been meaning to make a custom of Sakuyamon for a while using the Figma Archetype She: Next but now this Digimon revival makes it seem kind of unnecessary, though I doubt they can actually pull the transformations with the Tamers' rookies and megas.
I was okay with my old bootlegs of the transforming figures of the Adventure partners but the new Garudamon looks great and I need that Zudomon so maybe I'll dip into the line later.

How long will it take them to get to Tamers?
>>
>>6705089
I've seen lots of these being posted individually on ebay for maybe 5 bucks each plus shipping
But I don't think anyone's biting at that. Selling them through here or trying to get good bids for the whole collection would probably be better

Also they're making new versions of these based on the original artwork
>>
>>6729418
Hard to say. We know all of the original partner Digimon are coming, and we do know there is a Dukemon/Gallantmon coming soon as well. So a Sakuyamon being shown off in the next year certainly doesn't seem far-fetched.
>>
>>6729466
Tamers is the most popular season after Adventure, with the main three from that season being incredibly popular. I can easily see the line doing all three. Especially since the old toys were really only in need of a few modern tweeks.

Just got the first set and I love them. Those solid Digimon figures were some of my favorite toys as a kid so these feel really nostalgic to me.

IDK why they have another Agumon in Series 2 though, unless its SnowAgumon or BlackAgumon.
