Welcome to Plastic Building Block General, watch you're step.

This is a thread for bootlegos and bitching about aliexpress being slow. Legos and megablockses go elsewhere.

I wouldn't touch either, but the second.

The sell kits from the first in dollar stores here and the quality is lower than shit tier. Bricks either stay together as wooden building blocks or adhere to each other so tightly the hand of god cannot separate them and there seems to be no reason why one happens over the other.

At least I don't know option 2 is a festering pile of grandma's post buffalo wings diarrhea toilet bowl scorcher.

Don't have quite as much time today as expected, will post some more critter sets tomorrow probably. In the meantime here's a squad of Unsullied (originally "Thrall" arms and armor by BrickWarriors). Actual Lego minifigs were used to model the gear; the helmets, armor, shields and spears all came in batches of 10. Some of the helmets were a little tricky to remove but that's often the norm with 3rd party headgear. They have eyeslits, which unfortunately don't show up well here cuz all the model figs happened to have sunglasses in one form or another (normally they're members of special forces units).

So I ended up buying the rest of the critter sets for the hell of it. Overall they were about the same quality as the first one, not quite as good as some other Chinese legos but not terrible either. There were a couple minor mismolds and one 1x1 round tile that should've been a round plate, but nothing that interfered with the builds, thankfully. Out of the five I like the green one best, the four-legged red guy the least. I'm not sold enough on MWS to seek out more sets by them, though if any others come through my usual source and they're interesting enough I'd probably check them out.

One other thing I wanted to make mention of was this part that showed up in one of the sets, the buck-toothed t-rex in the center I believe. They fit perfectly with the classic 1x2 plate with handle on one side, first time seeing this part that I can recall.

Finally picked up this military aircraft by Enlighten after passing on it more than once. Previous Enlighten sets from this line I'd obtained from the liquidation centre had significant clutch issues; this one was noticeably improved in that area, making me wonder if Enlighten has re-issued some of its sets (the military ones are a bit dated at this point) with improved QC. I'm a little tempted to pick up a set I already have to test this theory, we'll see.

Anyway the set itself was a pretty good build, I'd passed on it all this time as it looked a bit silly on the box but I warmed up to it during assembly. It has a neat play feature not readily apparent: a system of gears that spins the propellers when the aircraft's wheels turn. If I had one minor gripe about the build, the control levers for the plane are raised a little too high for the pilot, which could be fixed with a little tinkering if I was inclined to do so.

Got referred from the Lego general. Does anyone here know a decent place that makes custom Lego minifig hairpieces?

Trying to find something similar to pic.
>>
>>6855120

I haven't seen any bootlegs that look similar. You're probably better off sculpting the hair using pro-create or green stuff. Or if you're up for it, 3D printing.

over in /lg/ there's this list of third-party parts sellers, maybe one of them has decent custom hair?

Skimmed the sites and unfortunately got nothing. Some seem to sell "standard" custom hairstyles they created with no "make your own" option. Thanks anyway man.
>>
>>6857349
Again, I'm thinking you'll just have to learn how to sculpt using green stuff or procreate. If you wanna see the kind of stuff it can do, there's an Autist on youtube called 97legomaniac who does a lot of custom anime stuff.

I was thinking of purchasing one of the larger sets of AliExpress. I have picked up small things from them before like tanks and stuff that Lego doesn't make. I was thinking of getting the Joker's mansion or maybe the Ghostbuster hq. But I'm worried they are going to be shit at around 100.00-170.00.

Has anyone had any experience with them? Lay it on me. Am I wasting my money? Should I just bite the bullet and buy the official ones?

ok, so gudi, lepin and enlighten make the best bricks, but which is the best brand for bootleg minifigs? I want to get a Malgus, a Nihilus, a Revan, and Ren with helmet and the head that also looks like his mask, and was wondering which brand made the better minifigs

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Single-Sale-Super-Heroes-Power-Girl-Parademon-Green-Lantern-Katana-Aquaman-Building-Blocks-Collection-Toys-for/32838104854.html

This Power Girl is the best clone I've seen, so I want to say Kopf. But who the fuck knows? I know a bunch of these are rebranded items from the same manufacturers, one minifig could be sold under three different brand names in three different stores.

Your best bet is just to find a store that has actual product photos, the product code might also be helpful.
>>
>>6865134
I'll look into the code, thanks a bunch, and yeah, I try to look for actual product photos, but in the end, who knows if it's theirs or someone else's, guess I'll just give it a shot and hope for the best. Nihilus is probably the only one that's "safe" because the minifg doesn't really exist in LEGO
>>
>>6861888

These guys are on aliexpress for under 20 bucks. Listing says they're about 10 inches tall and are 450ish pieces. Not too bad if they can hold together.
>>
>>6859861
I think this theme is another "pass" for me. That makes five consecutive themes that Enlighten has put out that I haven't bought a single set. Not that they've been particularly bad, but there hasn't been anything that has really stood out to me as a "must buy."

I'd like to see Enlighten try their hand at an adventure theme. Panama hats and dirigibles and yetis - the whole ten yards.

>>

First thing as you notice, the box is fucking enormous for 107 pieces.

They always put a very heavy filter on the product shot for the front of the box, but then show the same picture with no (or at least fewer) touch-ups on the back. Gotta love the honesty of showing that the tiles that make up the roof lights aren't all the same size or how the photographer didn't bother making sure the pieces were fully attached.

For some reason, some plates have an ID printed on them. Usually 2x4 plates, but not all the white 2x4s in this set have the printing. I've also seen it on some 2x6 plates in other sets.

The DG stands for DOLGENCORP, which is what Dollar General sells the My Blox/ Creative Kids line under in the US.
>>
>>6870873
SNOT studs are hollow on top, which is very nice. Might find some other uses for these later.

The whole front end is held on by these two bricks.
>>
>>6870876
Funny side note, the instructions show a yellow fig, which seems to be what they're moving to instead of the dead-corpse-flesh gray color this minifig is. However, they show the old-style waist connection that allows for pivoting but the new figs all seem to have this box connection for the waist nowadays.

Police truck is pretty cute! Even if they are working with a parts library that hasn't been stolen from in 20 years, the build was simple but fun.

PROS: costs five bucks, HALF the retail cost of a Lego set of similar part count!

CONS: My Blox pieces are sharp as fuck. I sliced my finger open last night trying to remove a stuck pair of legs from a minifig torso.
>>
>>6870881
Nice review, thanks for that. I've only found My Blox stuff once to date, at Dollar Tree. Had to get the one set with minifig they had, was the infamous creepy girl, packed with the most basic brick-built sea-doo I've ever seen.

Everyone here seems to be picking up Block Tech in various forms. Dollar Tree, Dollarama, the liquidation centre and even Walmart are stocking them. Thing that annoys me most about Block Tech is the lack of accessories for their minifigs, they love to pack them in twos and fives but they come with nothing else. Walmart's been offering a four-pack that does have a few accessories, but their asking price is ridiculous for what you get and I've already got all the figs included through other packs.

I've seen some other ones. Hanzo, Junk Rat, Tracer, Widowmaker.

Widowmaker is the most disappointing one: She just has a regular black ponytail hair piece. They made a custom head for Genji; I wonder if they'd do the same for Widowmaker?

Also, I wonder why no McCree? Seems like that would be easy enough with a cape and a cowboy hat.

And while they're at it, it would only take a minor retool to turn Gorilla Grodd into Winston.

Not pic poster but normal bricks have sufficient clutch. It is the specialized parts such as technic that will result in inconsistencies. Set design is good and is perfectly fine with experimenting in ways Lego would consider too structurally poor.
Tank feels scaled more to mega bloks figures though.
>>
>>6879285
I've got the entire set of them, and I'm getting ready to try and make a Meka for my D.Va fig. I honestly don't know why no McCree, but Winston would be a little bit more work than just "repaint Grodd." Zenyatta would prolly be pretty easy, though.
>>
What are the chances of random single sale minifigs containing chemicals and/or lead or something dangerous? Worth it to buy a few lead detection kits just to make sure everything's safe and kosher? Already spent 45ish bucks on around 40 figures, over half have already came in the mail, just want to make sure the stuff from AliExpress is safe and still worth buying after this current haul comes in.

Shame I didn't know about how shitty the store's quality was before I ordered the second set of figures. Luckily the second figure wasn't one I was dying to get but chances are if this second dispute goes through which I imagine it should I'll just order it again from a different store like I did with the first figure. So glad these figures are only 0.65-0.85 a pop on average.

Can anyone give me an idea on how well the lepin building sets scale with figs other than lego? Been browsing Instagram and I've seen lepin buildings being used with Mega Bloks CoD figures and they look great, but I'm afraid they might be using extra bricks to prop up the buildings.

I haven't seen that minifig set, but you can get their "zords", which also include minifigs.

Found these while going through some stuff so here are some mini-reviews:

First is pre-bald Walter White. Comes with a fresh-baked tray of his signature blue meth! Hair and jockey shorts (even a pistol in back). One of which came with a broken apron. I think these came in a package instead of something I wanted.

Second is Deadpool the Duck (Duckpool). Came free in an order, which is good because I don't really like it. One came without a head. The weapon parts (two guns, two swords and a crossed sword-holder). You'll see the gun in the left hand of the Duckpools can't actually be held so it's pointed like a weapon: It can only be held upright like that. I'm sure this Duckpool is based on someone's custom, and I can see why someone would like it, if they were into Deadpool highjinks. But I can't really recommend this minifig because of the sloppy paint on the beak and the mold lines around the top of the head.

Next up: Robocop! I really like this minifig: Lots of printed detail and not really sloppy at all. He comes with what looks (to my untrained eye) like an Uzi, as well as what looks like just a length of Lego-hand-size pipe. Maybe it's supposed to be a grenade? It could also plug into the hollowed-out stud on the top of his head, I guess. I really like this Robocop minifig. He's definitely going to be teaming up with my Kamen Rider squad.
>>
>>6886603
The next are these little guys in all black. As you can see they have suits printed on the front of the torso and huge toothy grins printed on the heads. I think someone told me they're supposed to be Joker minions. I bought three because it's silly to have a single minion.

And last, Statues of Liberty. These are a fair approximation of the blind-bag collectible from Lego. Their biggest problem is that the printing on the torso and the lower "skirt" piece don't seem to line up perfectly, but some are worse than others. I got three of these because I tend to get things in threes (except for Robocop).

The bit of pipe is a suppressor, should fit on the barrel of the gun.

What >>6886679 said, it's a copy of Minifigcat's mini-Uzi with suppressor (see bottom right of pic). Occasionally they also show up with the gun and suppressor molded together, though the latter is always backwards for some reason. Incidentally, the guns in >>6886597 are Minifigcat's SVU suppressed sniper rifle and BrickForge's version of Boba Fett's blaster. Out of curiosity, why in threes?

>want to get these sets
>they're expensive to import, have to get most through GMarket which only ships by expensive EMS
>have 2 sets in hand, 3rd shipped
>4th set, the big one pictured, bought on eBay, cancelled from first seller 3 days after purchase
>purchase 4th set from another seller, this time on GMarket, again cancelled after 3 days
>find 3rd seller on GMarket that ships international, purchase, page on GMarket now shows "out of stock" so I expect THAT will be cancelled too

Like what the actual fuck? Do Korean sellers just post sale ads for things they don't even have on hand and can't guarantee?

If I can't get the big set I'm selling the 3 I managed to get, fuck having an incomplete series of these. I don't expect I will find any for sale elsewhere and if South Korean sellers don't have it then I expect 0% chance of a US seller offering one.

GMarket can mostly bite my ass too. EMS only aside, you can't fucking contact sellers. Their listed email addresses always bounce back and the on-site seller contact form doesn't work. You can't leave negative feedback over a cancelled order. They charge you "estimated shipping" and if the actual cost is less, rather than a proper refund they give you on-site "points". After this crap I'm not sure I want to bother buying from Korea again if sellers are listing things they may not even have in stock.
>>
>>6891729
Damn, too bad they're not allowed to flood the pages of aliexpress with cheap shipping for being Korean.

They could just list on eBay but then they'd get negatives out the ass every time they cancel.

"Oh I'm sorry I don't actually have stock, I list things and hope I can get them from a supplier after someone buys a listing, sorry I can't get it, order cancelled, please accept my apologies"

And if your stock/supply is out it should be your responsibility to remove a listing, not let it stay up for a year and them fuck around on it if it does sell. It's amazing that I can get the other 3 sets just fine but this one is not available anywhere from anyone on this planet.

Oxford sets aren't easy to even find on eBay and stock is limited, and it's worse if you want to shop from a US seller. I found listings on several sites ending in a ".top" domain but they all looked fishy and I couldn't find shit about them on google so they're probably unreliable as all hell.

I checked AE too, nothing. Only tie-in stuff was unofficial cosplay gear.

Anybody have that Xenomorph I keep seeing on Aliexpress? Is it articulated?

I have both xenos available. One is just the xeno head on a normal minifig body, the other is on a skeleton torso with cyborg Maul's legs. The head has a separate lower jaw piece, so it can open and shut. Can't post a pic right now, will try to get one later.

I have a few xenomorphs with the standard minifig legs. I posted pics of them in one of these threads some months ago, and somehow I didn't upload them into my imgur, so I just dug them out and took some more pics. Here you go.

>Ah, nice. so it's possible to make it drool 'acid'?
Sort of? As you can see in pic related, the xeno mouths don't open as fantastically wide as they do in the movies, so it might be hard to get the acid-drooling effect. Then again, you may be more creative than I am.

>>6905617
You're in luck! The first Kamen Rider minifig I ever saw was Kamen Rider Black! He appears briefly in the set of photos in the imgur link above. He shipped with a human-form Kotaro Minami in his white suit.

I got him on Aliexpress, of course, but when you search "Kamen Rider bricks/blocks" all you get are the newer KR minifigs (the first 4). I can't for the life of me remember what I would have searched to find Black.

I think I bought extras for just this kind of situation. I could sell you one if you want it.

Ended up being a waste of money to get these since the large set is unavailable anywhere, 3 fucking orders cancelled, "sorry we no have stock on in stock item, must cancel, will not offer apology". Ended up selling them, told GMarket to fuck off since their site is unreliable and closed my account with them. Spent $140 on these, sold for $50, $90 lost and a lot of time wasted. Owning an incomplete series would be insulting without the large airship set.

Here's the final version. What a piece of shit. The finished build is fine, that's not the problem - several of the white cones wouldn't allow the black poles in, and one got stuck so badly that I had to remove it with hot water and two sets of pliers, one for each piece; another pair of pieces meant to go together had to actually be hammered together carefully to even connect (White cone and white cylinder). Had to play hot potato to find a combination that would actually work. The foot drum also isn't actually connected to anything and just sits there, though frankly that's a minor issue at best. Even at a dollar can't recommend this shit since I couldn't even construct it according to the instructions without a literal toolbox.

I got refunds(I suspect I only got them due to paying with Paypal- they'd probably have pulled their "smile cash" shit otherwise) but the whole process is still bullshit. GMarket will not allow negative feedback on a seller-cancelled order. If they don't have it in stock they shouldn't list it for sale, it seems the whole seller process in South Korea is vastly different from the US though. They don't apparently believe n selling personal possessions, used items or whatever, just new stock they get from suppliers.

Fuck Gmarket but I'll avoid the SK sellers on eBay too since it's the same shit either way. Had the same crap with a SK seller there, at least they got their negative.

And naturally Lego fantards are all "every other brand is garbage and infringes on corporate blah blah", trying to ask them on Reddit for the set I need illicited much whiny fantard anger, and I'm forced to sell at a discount because idiots just assume any brand that isn't Lego is garbage so fuck getting a fair price. And yet Lego's own quality has dropped massively in recent years.

>>6912457
They have the My Blox brand there, they sell flat base plates as well as bags of solid color random parts assortments. I got a couple bags as I needed 2x4 flat plates, very good brand. Was surprised.

That's a different brand, not surprised it's crap.

and yeah, the lego sub has some uptight asshole purists, including the mods. Include a nonlego part? DELETED. THAT'S NOT LEGO.

Lego purists are cancer in how they utterly shit on clones that are otherwise far higher quality than the vast majority of other commercial retail toys.

It doesnt need to be near Lego quality or even feel like Lego to be a perfectly well functioning brick system. Cobi is a good example of being its own thing.
>>
>>6914640
Honestly, I don't mind picking up a Lepin clone with three defect pieces for $25 when the official Lego version is $70-$90 (I'm looking at you First Order Tie Fighter). That's the gamble Lego is missing here; the quality has really caught up, and it doesn't matter if the competitors aren't 100% if they're hitting 95-98%

Found this thing on my local chinese for 2$ i fell like revieweng it, the thing that caught my attention was the lego goblin cap recolored in full black. First thing to notice is the plastics are of great quality (lepin tier).
Some other interesting things to notice is the purple torso, a plain white head, a red scorpion and a cool spear that i don't think is a lego mold, no idea where it is from.

Pros:
-Great quality
-Low price
-Interesting recolors

Cons:
-Face of the sailor is advertiesed ghostly white on the box, but is it actually flesh color.
-The design of the boat is shit.

Final valuation: 7/10, you can't go wrong for the price, there were quite a few more of this sets, will keep an eye open for more interesting parts

Been a while, found some new sets at the liquidation centre, thought I'd share.

This quartet by Elephant is probably the best of the new finds: neat figures, ok-ish builds, generous amounts of weapons and gear, and plenty of not-lego currency.

These "Thor Commando" sets, also by Elephant, are a close second. The builds aren't as good but again we have some great figs, good pile of weapons and the one set with the M2 also comes with a crate full of nuclear WMD canisters, perfect for committing lego war crimes.

Enlighten was represented by a foursome of "Space Police" themed miniships, but they weren't particularly interesting and I only grabbed pic related cuz of the alien fig. The build was better than expected: the hinged wing design allows for variable flight modes.

Had to look this one up, the company is Sembo and it seems they collaborate with Sheng Yuan a lot. The builds are all over the place and there's an overall lack of weapons for these otherwise awesome minifigs, but at 2 bucks a pop they still deliver. Plenty to like in these sets, from the camouflage shelter with "material" crate to the weather-worn signposts and silly vehicles. Apologies for the clusterfuck of a photo, didn't have much time or space when I took it.
>>
>>6939544
Unfortunately no, tried it with all the Lego helmets I could find. I believe the visor is originally a MinifigCat design, compatible with some of their helmets.

>>6939548
Elephant is one of the better Chinese brands, newer Enlighten is also at about that level and Sembo is also up there, going by these sets. The Elephant and Sembo sets were all printed pieces, the Enlighten set had stickers.

My last find came from Walmart, they've been stocking a lot of Block Tech stuff lately, started with boxes of different color bricks but now they have minifig packs and specialized parts, including the accessories pack I picked up for $10 Cdn. Block Tech is a weird brand, they have connections with both major dollar store chains here and now Walmart, and some of their large sets have shown up at the liquidation centre, but generally they're rather underwhelming. Their minifigs are their only notable item really: their builds suck, their parts sets usually feel overpriced and the photos on the front of those boxes often have parts that aren't included. I picked up their windows and doors box from Dollarama for $4 and it had several doors that required a frame piece to be of any use, none of which were provided but were shown on the front. The back of the box does have an actual piece count inventory but it's still a dick move, particularly as there doesn't seem to be a way to get the proper door frames.

Moving on, this bundle of accessories wasn't too bad really. What sold me were the significant amounts and types of weapons, which include Mega Bloks CoD automatic pistols, interestingly enough. The assault rifles are comically oversized but I like the M60; the different melee weapons are neat too. On a more disappointing note, the helmets and hats included are designed with a specific subtype of their minifigs in mind, namely the ones where the top of their head is a separate piece. They don't fit lego heads at all and are practically useless unless you have the right Block Tech figs.

There's plenty of tools to go around, with no less than 10 shovels in 2 different styles and 4 colors for some reason. One of the selling points for me was the animals, of which there's a decent assortment and includes 3 horses with saddles. One other thing worth mentioning is the artist's easel, with paint palette and brush (x4). Was worth it in the end, would only buy once tho.

Do Neo Shifters count as /pbbg/, considering how they're not exactly Lego-based bootlegs but were made by Mega Bloks to obviously compete with Bionicle? If so, what does /pbbg/ think about them? I've hardly seen any discussion about these and yet they seem to still commend some mildly appreciated prices on Ebay nowadays, is there a niche fanbase that still collects them or something? I remember buying a couple in my teens and really enjoying the intricate amount of detail but quickly loosing my interest after getting two or three large sets and realizing that they were all just the same mold with different colors.

Also, there's a guy near me selling a MISB four pack of these for 15 euros, are they worth getting even if just for the sake of nostalgia?

I don't know if this has been brought up yet, but I stopped by my Dollar Tree today and found 16x16 baseplates and bags of bricks being sold under the "Top Blox" brand. The colors do not match up with Lego's colors. Well, maybe white and black do, but the finish on them gives them away.

They're under the "Block Tech" brand here in Canada, exact same stuff. I have so many non-lego legos I picked up a few packs for potential builds. I sure love our liquidation centre and their regular new arrivals, though the trade-off is no Ross or Tuesday Morning etc for cheap Mega Bloks. The liquidation centre did have a huge pile of that one Ghost set with Jul 'Mdama once, guess there's hope they get more sometime.

Dollar Tree won't have any Mega stuff, they don't sell anything over $1.25. Never seen any Trek stuff at Dollaramas here, I heard one had Terminator stuff briefly but they were gone when I got there. Mostly I just see the small overpriced TMNT and Minions stuff, they've had CoD single fig packs in the past but not lately.

For Chinese legos, aside from Block Tech they usually have these non-branded fig and vehicle sets, as well as a line of mini vehicles and mechs under the MonToy brand.

I was thinking about buying a Bane w/ mask and trench coat and was wondering which figure would be the best buy? (no loose joints or low quality paint) Which is your favorite, the far left, center, or far right?
>>
>>6952040
I'd say of the three, the far right is the best as he comes with the best trenchcoat. That and the firearm provided are the only real differences really, the prints and mask pieces are the same. Joint and clutch quality and paint apps are about the same across the figs in general; you still have a chance of getting a lesser quality fig but they're usually at least satisfactory.

Funny story concerning Bane figs... Two of my most recent orders were for a pair of Old Republic Troopers, among other things. Two different stores made near-identical gaffes: one didn't send me any Troopers at all, instead including a pair of Bane figs of the type second from left; the other other did include one Trooper but yet another of that same Bane instead of the second requested Trooper. I'm guessing they must have very similar codes or something, wasn't worth the hassle to me to try and sort it out with the sellers.
>>
>>6952100
Are the coats easy to slide on and off, or do you have to remove the arms? Thanks for the detailed response, I appreciate it!
>>
>>6952116
The coats are snug enough that the arms have to be inserted through them, not a problem really as the figs tend to be packaged with the arms unattached.

https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Single-Sale-Super-Heroes-Two-Face-Bane-Joker-Deadpool-Radioactive-Man-Bricks-Building-Blocks-Christmas-Toys/32840927272.html

That's the listing I used to get the far-right Bane. They're a pretty good seller, I've used them several times already. Their gimmick is they charge less than most other stores for the figs but then charge the difference in shipping by seller's method. I've found that if you buy enough figs in one order, the shipping adds up to where the seller uses a pretty good shipping option; if you're only getting a few though, you might be waiting a month or so, unless you opt for a more expensive shipping option I suppose.

I got a question about pbbg lego knock offs
i bought a few, never checked the actual line names, i know of a few... i think
lepin, kopf, enlighten...

i got some dc guys, some pirates of the carribean, zombies, jurassic world, and some dragonball
the dbz and marvel ones are good, then the rest are a mix of horrible and ok

does anyone have a rank in terms of quality and what KO brands to look for?

also, 2nd question, forgive me for this one but do i have to worry about lead in these KOs
>>
>>6967779

top tier: Star Diamond, Oxford
very slightly below lego tier: Gudi, Kre-O
lesser tier: SY, Sembo Block, a couple others I can't remember
lesser lesser tier: Enlighten
below that but worth getting for weird parts: Wange

This doesn't really cover brands that just make knockoff minifigs, like kopf. One of aliexpress' problems is sellers rebranding them, and for example listing a deadpool minifig as STORM SHADOW POWER HERO SUPER ENLIGHTEN LEPIN BLOCKS FOR KIDS SUPERMAN COMPATABLE LEGOING FRIENDS GIFT because they're just trying to maximize search hits. So who knows what you'll get?

If possible find a seller that has actual photographs of the minifigs they're selling. Like, these look nice in the cg pics but are actually shit:

>>
>>6967779
>do i have to worry about lead in these KOs
Are you eating them? Then no.

You have to worry about lead in ALL toys. Even US federal statutes allow toys to contain lead (in PPM, but still). No law states a toy must contain zero lead, because it's unrealistic. Also, lead is only hazardous when ingested in high concentrations over time. Just stop putting minifigures in your mouth or stuffing them up your ass or whatever behavior you're engaging in that has you worried about lead exposure.
>>

I believe he's referring to the numerical figure of "over 500 million"

That makes sense now. Guess that's another nail in my retarded coffin.

If I want just a specific piece (pic related) do I need to buy the fig that goes with it, or is there a way to buy it individually?

Looks to be a modified copy of the BrickForge Fighting Claw, with two blades instead of three. You can get the original here:

Hey /pbbg/, I don't normally go to this thread, but I figure I have no reason to avoid it:
I'm doing a collection of custom Unikitty minifigs. Anyone got any ideas that could be done with custom/knockoff pieces?

Other questions,
1: Anyone know how good the LeLe Unikitty blatant copies are? The official faces are reasonably cheap, but the tail pieces are bloody expensive on Bricklink, so I'd prefer to use the LeLe ones if they're not obviously knockoffs.
2: Is there anywhere I can get the tail pieces other than in the LeLe models? Aside from being generally expensive, Lego makes them in an unfortunate lack of colours (seriously, there's not even a black!)

POGO X-23 minifig (PG 243) also comes with 2 of those claws

Time ago Lele was the prime example of awful bootleg brand, now they've improved but not so much. I know for sure other brands have reused the Unikitty tail, like SY/Sembo Club comes with 2 Chinese-gold tails; but on the other hand Kopf uses a different part (BrickForge ponytail)

Might I recommend you wait for the Unikitty blind bag series to make it to retail? In addition to having authentic tail pieces, you would get some new faces for your custom kitties.

Correction: there's not even a black piece being sold (Although at least DeCool made a clone of it).

Hot dang i want those tails! I really wish there was some sorta Bricklink for knockoffs because of things like those.

I live in former commieland (Bulgaria), so they're already being sold. But Stud.io doesn't have those parts, though, which is why I'm using the default Unikitty face in all of them.

Stores selling individual/bulk parts are getting more common, like https://www.aliexpress.com/store/223715

But good luck searching for anything.

Since we're four images away from limit, I decided to start a new thread:

No need to populate it right away. It's there once we reach limit.
