the bottom 4 sections look mostly in line with each other. maybe just a 1 by X tile with 1x1 w/clips attached? there must be a ton of different ways to do it. it's possible that nothing connects them and each layer just rests on top of the previous.

Nice.
I like what you've done with the droid socket, but does it hold together well? It looks like it doesn't have as strong a connection as an unmodded set.

Anywho, this I took my two Y-Wings and armored them up. Also modded the second one to be in my personal color scheme.
>>
>>6993555
un-modded set has technic beams going all the way through. My version obviously don't but pieces aren't falling off. I can lift whole ship holding cockpit section only and nothing breaks. However If I shake it up and down while holding like that - the section breaks into a gap (but the bricks are still in their places and can be easily pressed back)

Maybe that was poor phrasing on my part, I meant to say the individual builds themselves (see-saw, stroller, etc.) are simple but they're all cohesively distributed throughout the baseplates and, therefore, there's a pretty decent amount of detail covered in the set as a whole. No part of the playground looks barren or empty, everything feels really tightly comfy, which is neat.

Sorry if the pics don't show exactly what I mean, it looks a whole lot better in person.

>>
>>6994365
The sets aimed at boys have always had some conflict. And Fabuland was barely worth mentioning according to the movie.
>>
>>6994379

Yes let's ignore the dearth of conflict in Technic / City / Creator / D2C sets etc because they weren't in a fuckin film
>>
>>6994383
Technically technic did have some fightin’ sets, and city has cops/robbers.

thats sorta true and sorta not true.
it seems to me that they ARE taking feedback but in such a dumb down and oversimplified approach that when they regurgitate it back to us it doesn't look anything like we asked for.
and then when people complain they play stupid (or maybe they just are stupid) and just tell us its what we asked for.

I have this and I love it. The cabin and glass bottom sticker are pretty nifty and you can turn the gold shells to use as gangplanks. I don't know if that was intended, but I use them that way. Perfect swooshable (or whatever the nautical equivalent is) mid-sized ship.

>>6994322

But there are battle packs with large speeder bikes more or less on that same scale, pic very much related. I still think making this a ~40 dollars / euros set is sort of ridiculous, maybe 25 would have been fair if they really wanted to throw in two bikes instead of one?

I dunno. I like it. I guess if you want to do ANYTHING else with the set other than build what's on the box, it would be kinda dull. (really, the only colors of his HQ are Gray, Black, and Dark Purple. That's about it)

I didn't like the set at first either, waited to get it on discount because I'm a fan of the theme. I liked it more than I thought I would. The colors are drab for sure, but I liked the small side builds and the jestro head part of the main build was pretty fun. Really just the back half of it with the cage crane seemed unnecessary to me and that is mostly for play.
>>

I'll tell you what I was told when I started. Focus on selling Minifigures. They are cheap enough to ship and they have a decent amount of value. Bricks aren't bad, but you'll end up doing a lot more work for less money overall. I started by buying a few sets on clearance and listing all the parts and figs. I added stuff from my collection that I didn't want after that. Almost all my orders have included a figure or figure parts.

Clear drawers you can pull out when you wanna build. Clear so you can look under them instead of having to dig for a piece.

And yes, it's better to sort by color because it makes it SO much easier and quicker to build MOCs than if you sort by part and have to pull 93+ drawers to build one thing.

And really, who has the time to sort that specifically, and an empty three car garage to dedicate to 40,000 drawers with a handful of pieces in each of them? It takes a really sad loser with an empty life and no creativity or ideas for MOCs to sort that specifically.
>>

Does anyone know a seller who has a bunch of minifig heads? I thought this would be simple, but I can't find one.
>>
>>6998180
Not him but generally when I build something I pull out the colors I want it to have and work with what I got. The only things I separate are stuff like clips, hinges, wheels, gears, etc. The majority is by color.

This; certain special bricks are sorted out from the mixed colored bins. And of course all my technic shit is sorted by type, but that's because that actually makes sense to sort mechanical elements exactingly. Unlike System builds where sorting by type is literally just a waste of time both in sorting and pulling 82 different drawers just to sperg out on your own cross-eyed autism with a hand in your pants on your >>6998180 3-stud-length long dick, stroking it with two pinched fingers at how clevar you are for sorting things to a completely unnecessary level of detail.

>>6998256
>completely unnecessary level of detail
I mean, if you build a lot, it simply makes sense, having to dig through a drawer where everything is the same color is difficult, when instead you could just spot said color among others. It gets worse if you're not sure what color a piece comes in

Aaaaand I'm back, paid 20 euros for the sets and 6,50 for the minfigs. I'm not into either Chima or NinjaGo but both of these seem to have a decent amount of parts for 10 euros each, so I'll definitely keep them around for MOCs. As for the minfigs, it's just neat to get something from the classic space themes even if they aren't necessarily rare.

So, how did I do?

Not that guy, but: it's funny (not hilarious though, don't get me wrong), it's fantastically animated, it's pretty creative, and all the characters are super likeable. Essentially, it doesn't do anything AMAZING, but it's still the best at what it is: Dick Figures for kids.

Still, it's very much the kind of show that doesn't appeal to everyone. I mean, children's cartoon sitcoms aren't exactly popular with adults to begin with.

Which should I get?
>Old Fishing Store: Very nice build, and I've been eyeing it ever since I first saw it
>Parisian Restaurant: My favorite standard-price modular. and could open the gate for buying more modulars
>Ninjago City: Double the price of the other two, but it definitely shows; impressive build, and The Dockyards would go with it, and my Destiny's Bounty that I already have, which is my favorite set as of now
>Assembly square: $30 less than Ninjago City, but Ninjago City has 800 more pieces; Again, it would go with other modulars, and is probably the best modular that is out right now, but $100 more expensive
This will be my most expensive set I've ever bought regardless, because I got Destiny's Bounty on sale for $115.

Just finished NC last night and it's probably the best build experience I've ever had. NC has so many different sections and techniques that you're constantly mixing things up so it never gets boring.
