I really like him, certainly better than the non FC one. However one jarring flaw in the factory product is that the black to yellow transition on the thigh is very jarring unlike the prototype

ceratopsian news!
from the facebook post at BeastSculptKit/posts/2266444503370742
>Estimated for a Spring 2019 launch
>The line will focus on 1/18th scale Centrosauruines as well as some 1/6th scale Protoceratopsians
>Campaign will begin with: Xenoceratops foremostensis , Pachyrhinosaurus lakustai , Centrosaurus apertus, Zuniceratops christopheri, and Styracosaurus albertensis,
>First three unlockables: Diabloceratops eatoni, Psittacosaurus mongoliensis, and Protoceratops andrewsi
>Price range is to-be-determined, but will be comparable to the Raptors series
>Due to the size and variety of the figures, bases will be omitted to help keep prices down
>>
>>7012599
>Detailed
>Posable
>Styracosaurus
Fuck me, that sounds lovely.
>>
>>7006869
Safari is getting better and better imo. 2018 is a good year for them. Papo is the same.
>>
>>7012599
Sounds well cool, but I feel this could be a bit overambitious
>>
>>7001352
thise arms suck
Im pretty sure that they didn't have arms wobbling like that
>>
>>7010501
>>7007341
i feel like the only people that buy these are pretentious edgy girls.
i guess im fine with that because for a long time dinosaurs were an edgy boys toy
>>
>>7013403
Carno arms were short as fuck.
>>
>>7007492
>>7012443
Kill yourself you retarded fucking faggot
>>
>>7013403
Eh, seems pretty accurate to me. Allosaurus’s arms were proportionally larger than Rex’s but they weren’t at the level of Spinosaurus’s still. Hell, the Carcharadontosaurs had arms as proportionally small as Rex and they were Allosaurus’s later cousins.
>>
>>7013701
But the Allosaurus' arms weren't short in relation to their size like the T-Rex or Albertasaurus.
>>
>>7013792
True. But add flesh to your pic and >>7001352 looks about right, give or take.

What I wouldn’t give for a 1:12 articulated Allosaurus even at the average size. An Allosaurus figure as big as the Kenner Thrasher Rex would be a dream come true.
>>
>>7014135
>1:12 articulated Allosaurus
God yes.

I'd love to see the BoM line get into the bigger theropods.
>>
Where's a good place online where I can get wave 2 at non-scalper prices?
>>
>>7014143
I think Silvas did say he’d like to do the bigger meat-eaters down the road, but scale and price would be an issue. I own a JW Colossal Rex like in the OP pic, and setting aside anatomical inaccuracies it’s the only 1:12 Rex on the market right now at around $54 plus tax. If the raptors were $35+shipping during the Kickstarter, a rex at even 1:18 scale like the Kenner Bull Rex would cost as much if not more than the Colossal does atm.
>>
Wow, last time I checked this general nobody was interested in my BOTM raptor. Glad to see others enjoying them!

Right now I just popped in to ask how folks like the Mattel Blue cs Hasbro Blue, or if there's any higher quality blue on the market... or if I should grab a build-a-raptor kit and make a fluffy blue.
>>
>>7014202
>mattel cs hasbro
Mattel OR hasbro, no clue how that happened.
>>
>>7014167
True, but I'd even be okay if he made they smaller and not in scale with the other dinos to save of cost.

I also want a Utahraptor, but I don't think that's ever happening.
>>

I think it looks cute though.
>>
>>7015259
He means Battle Damage, but said Dino Damage.

The BD one also has better articulation (arms, neck, head) and feels more sturdy. The main thing you want to consider is if you can deal with the skin flap and the wound. It's not horrible, but it is noticeable. If you want I can take comparison pics.

Also: watch out, the feet of the AP can't move. I tried it on mine as they seemed articulated and promptly broke it off lol
>>
>>7015268
>promptly broke off.
Holy shit, that sucks would not expect that, sorry that happened.
>>
>>7015273
There is a seam between the leg and the foot, I thought I could twist the foot around. Luckily it was just an Attack Pack figure, I glued it back on which is completely unnoticeable. But yeah, a word of warning, and thanks for the heartfelt!
>>
>>7015276
NP always there for ya anon.
>>
>>7014328
Are you sure AP has a better sculpt? They're machined extremely similar, the main reason they look different is because they have fairly different paint application(BD having more colors), and BD's joints showing a little more, and ever so slightly different poses.

That said, I'd highly suggest the BD, because the painted nails, less-cheap arms and extreme degree of articulation makes it my favorite figure of the line.
>>
Damn, what are we in for now???
>>
Why is Rebor doing 2 new Tyrannosaurs, they could go with a different more interesting theropod but no a T-rex why?

>>
>>7007341

>>
>>7015435
Me too, have serous regrets not getting it. it looks simply beautiful.
I didn't get it because the backer kit order got al confused and messed up and by the time we realised it, it was too late. :(
>>
>>6998806
>Oh god tiny thing please get out of my mouth why are you doing this I'm not even hungry please stop my jaw hurts argh
>>
>>7015435
Checked how much it would be if I ordered from his main site and holy shit it's no worth it , the $35 raptor went to $40 when it transferred to the main store and it's the shipping costs that really bite $25 shipping + $5. additional charge per item in the shippment turns out to be like $70 + for the whole thing by the time all is said and done. Doesn't seem worth it and I don't know what everything Dinosaur charges for shipping or Big Bad Toys for that matter I wish there was a cheaper alternative source, at this point .
>>
>>7015484
Yeah, I have no idea where to get these things in the UK either. I suspect it'd be tough.
>>
>>7015484
Damn $10 price hike on the damn build a raptor and those accessory sets what he'll man?
>>
>>7015492
Oh you can get them from everthing Dinosaur, they are European based to my knowledge lots of UK YouTubers buy them from there.
>>
>>7015423
Same. It's kind of a bummer that he's going family by family with this. Would be nice if he could broaden the range a little and do maybe 2 or 3 families per KS so we could get a larger variety of quadruped dinos at once instead of just the ceratopsians.

>>7015321
>>7015363
I went in pretty hard on the raptors so I will probably be going pretty hard in on the ceratosians as well.
>>
>>7015363
>>7015321
They look fantastic. They look better made than the raptors even. Very excited for this one.
>>
>>7004825
I help my friend win that in a facebook contest.
>>
>>7015484
he might offer them as add-ons to the ceratopsian kickstarter, if you can wait to see

I'm glad I got one of each of the accessory packs, they will be better suited to the bigger dinos than the raptors they were for

Mattel Blue is decent... considering how thin the competition is but the only good articulation it has is the neck. Other than that I keep wishing the JW line has the articulation because of how good these sculpts are, but they're priced incredibly cheap, especially for 2018 standards.

Dromaesaurus would be the closest to Dakotaraptor. They're both from the same genus and Dakotaraptor is truly Utahraptor sized.

If you really want Utahraptor, rather than just bigger stand in raptor sized dino then Atrociraptor is the closest relative to Utahraptor available for the line

yep, saw it, was disappointing and felt like a cheap cash reminded me of Michael Bay's Transformers movies was kind of pissed that this was what all that hype amounted to and they had to put and another "Hybrid" Freak in there are you serious people?!
yeah was so unimpressed with the mess they made pout of it , hands down has to be one of the worst JP/JW movies ever worse than JP3 or JW, hey at least Mattel did a good job on the toys .
but in conclusion I think they need to write better and not try to put so much into one movie and lose the focus of plot
>>
>>7030033

Hello, anon, i am new here. Want to make Savage Land shelf for my collection of marvel figures, buy that pterodactyl dude Sauron and some prehistoric wild cuties.

Are there some cynognathus toys? Want some exotic, not only dinos.
>>
>>7028528
It's huge.
>>
>>7031779
>cynognathus...
unfortunately there are no major or worth while figures of it and the only one I know is something from 1960 something from some kids set of Dinos at only 2 in. long looks like something you would get out of a quarter machine now a days or win on the cheap end of an arcade for tickets.
so nothing really worth while out there unless you can commission to make you one from scratch if possible, sorry about that.

Start posting something that isn't BOTM any time!

Well, that's sad. Thank you for answer.
>>
>dino-gen still can't think of any dinosaur toys to talk of about besides botm.

>what have you guys thought on this cutie?
I have it.
it's still the best interactive dino toy
>>7019173
this is smarter than Cruncher but not as expressive
>>
>>7019311
>I just said they weren't that great
What option is better then? This world dont have better interactive dino other than Prehistoric Pets line.
Pleo sucks because it acts like retarded child.

>What is WWD3D?
>What is Papo, Safari, CollectA, Schleich, etc?

Though to be fair, BotM is the big one right now.

If willing to spend the money, this is the best robo dino.

Isn't that the appeal of any of these robotic pets? A real pet dog has the intelligence of around a 5 year old child so if Pleo can replicate a retarded child I think they are doing pretty good.

pleo is overpriced and useless, but its ok if you have shit taste i guess.

joke --------- (your head) -------- joke

You just whoring for Pleo for the sake of being right even if you literally have 0% experience.
Im telling what things are because i do have all kinds of interactive dinosaurs including pleo.

In other words: Fuck off
>>
>>7045377
But pleo actually acts as a pet (albeit a dumb as shit one). The prehistoric pets are fun and have tons of personality, but they're toys, they don't actually seek to emulate having a pet.

Anyone in dino gen buy multiple accessory packs from BOTM? I am curious to see the finished products linked up together, whether it's multiple of a single pack, or a combo of a few (like a raptor base plus the forest base plus the wetlands base). Trying to see if they go well together or if the different environments are too jarring linked up to one another.
