I just recently picked up the dark Phoenix and cyclops double pack. who are the essentials for that era if I want to start a new team
>>
Do we know where the MCU10 two-packs are going to end up now that TRU is gone? I assume they'll mostly end up at Target, since Walmart's very spotty with their exclusives.

What figure is that cloak from?
>>
>>7034419
Looks like either Old Luke's or Ego's. They're extremely similar character designs.
>>
>>7034419
Its Egos. I was swapping accessories on a few figures and that was the only one that looked good.
>>
TMW you want to get your favorite character as a ml but already have have them in MS form in your favorite costume

>>
Anyone have any experience selling BAF pieces? How much do you usually sell them for?
>>
>>7034435
No, ive looked through 4 everyday and nothing. Most are just now getting Thanos wave
>>
>>7034434
Colossus?
>>
>>7034436
I think it depends on the piece. I'd say around 5-10 but some go for a pretty good amount. I've been searching for the right arm of Rhino for like 2 years and whenever I find it its always like 30-40 bucks. And I don't get it, was Superior Venom shortpack in cases or something? I see people all the time with Rhino BaFs missing the right arm and only the right arm.
>>
>>7034448
yea... :( loved him since I was a kid and I've lost almost all my toys etc while growing up so now it's all about seeing which old colossuss' are worth regettting (like none desu since they all look weird)
>>
>>7034471
Well the Select is pretty great. I don't think I've really heard a bad thing about it. That said the newer Legend is also really good if you like a more modern version of him. Plus the bearded head is really good. I'd pass on the Toybiz one unless you are trying to get all the Colossus figures made.
>>
Emma
>>
>>7034475
Thats my problem, i have the select one and id love a ML of classic but like i just like colossus
>>
>>7034414
>who are the essentials for that era if I want to start a new team
Apoc Wave Wolverine, Select Colossus, Toybiz Beast, Nightcrawler and Angel. There has only been like 1 Prof. X which shouldn't surprise me but it does. There was also a Marvel Girl but it was early Hasbro Legends so its kinda meh. Surprisingly there isn't a good version of Storm from that Era. Everything is either 90's Jim Lee of some version of the Mohawk Storm. That's actually kind of annoying.
>>
>>7034481
the Select already is Classic Colossus so you're good there at least.
>>
>>7034437
That stinks, thanks anon. Oh well, I guess he'll be showing up soon enough then. Does Hasbro usually show off new stuff at SDCC? I know they do at Toy Fair, but couldn't remember SDCC.

>>7034436
I don't but have thought about it. I'd guess around $3-$5 depending on how new or popular the figure is.
>>
>>7034486
Yea hes pretty great just wish he had open hands or something so i can throw wolvi
>>
>>7031269
>>7032913
Wait, what the hell? How did they add that texture to him? Did they actually tool a new mold just for this two-pack?

Also, I can't wait to get a good clear shot of the unmasked Killmonger head. I hope they pulled off a good likeness.
>>
>>7034454
It must have been shortpacked. I was so dumb not to buy that figure when it came out, I thought it was ugly and dumb. I still think that, but man, Rhino's arm is a real rarity!

I finally got lucky about two months ago when a kind anon sold me one for nothing more than the cost of shipping.
>>
minus the over bite and floppy chain i love the nwe GR ml

Hope Summers’ cape works even better. Glenn Webb had it as a bonus at the end of a video and it looks great.
>>
>>7034614
Her cape does look good, but she's going for like $30 now and she's a terrible figure. $30 is a lot to pay for one accessory.
>>
>>7034618
She's decent as a stand-in Black Series Mara Jade.
>>
>>7034550
So never, until a new definitive spider-man comes out. Which won't be for awhile.
>>

You should gift it out anyway. It’s not that great of a figure for someone looking for “just one Spiderman”, but it’s solid and your nephew would probably be really happy to have it.

Brown wolverine, Sunfire, Havok, Polaris, and the new storm maybe

So what's her deal anyway? I remember a couple months ago when the early reviews started hitting she had brown hair, but mine has black? Another mysterio type variant deal? Also I'm a little pissed that they gave her the good >90 degree elbows but not storm.
>>
>>7034545
Many believe the Mafex that will be released next year will be the definitive one.
>>
>>7034736
It's not just that he died, but died poor because Stan Lee fucked over all his co-workers with contracts that gave him everything and the real talent nothing. Why can't that despicable asshole die instead?
>>
>>7034743
I know this is an international board, but it really does wow me when people from countries like that even know Marvel stuff, let alone collect figures.

All I can think of you guys having are like...gift shops and stores that sell deodorant and toiletries to tourists.
>>
>>7034744
Actually she has black hair or purple hair. Supposedly the purple hair is the variant/refresh.
>>
>>7034799
That's not how it works, man. stan Lee got very little relatively for actually co-creating stuff, his contracts were effectively the same shit everyone else got. The way he got rich was by marketing himself, making himself the face of MArvel, and most of all, pushing for media adaptations for cartoons and TV. Steve ditko was too introverted to be part of that, and Jack Kirby just wasn't a businessman.
>>
>>7034744
Early figures had the black hair/ blue leotard. Then pics of purple hair/ metallic blue leotard started popping up. Apparently the first one is evenly packed with the variant every other case, but what’s happening is that the first cases are the black hair, so most people aren’t finding purple hair. I think that Mysterio was a running change to fix a figure, since the green head is so much rarer, but with Psylocke they’re actually packing her 50/50.
>>
>>7034799
because people who fuck over people who work with them tend to watch out for their own ass.

>>7034830
>stan Lee got very little relatively for actually co-creating stuff
bullshit. the guy drafted the contracts for his supposed friends. he knew he was fucking them over from the start. fuck him, when he dies, it won't be a sad day, he's had it coming a long time.
>>
>>7034437
You mean at Walgreens?
>>
>>7034717
Whatever, I'd take the girl who runs around in lingerie every day, was a founding member of a bondage club, and plays fun kinky fantasies in your brain where she's dressed like women you're attracted to over someone who gets upset that you for being attracted to a foreign co-worker who basically runs around in a bathing suit all day.

The choice is super simple.

is it true that iceman is gay these days?

as in mainline iceman? or is it some alternate universe/timeline one that's a gay?

who else has had their sexuality changed? I heard colossus is a finook too now
>>
>>7034946
Ultimate Colossus was gay. Mainline Iceman is now the flamingest of gays. Teen him from the past was forced to come to terms with his homosexuality by teen Jean grey from the past and when they told modern adult Iceman who has been with so many women that he's actually gay he just flipped, got his own solo comic, and the first issue opened with him writing the gayest online dating profile while drinking wine alone in his bed like he was Jack from Will and Grace. It's absolutely insane how uncreative comics writers can be.
>>
>>7034946
616 iceman is gay now. pretty sure colossus isn't, since they just had a storyline about him almost marrying kitty pryde ( she changes her mind at the last second ).

He was turned gay in a single page by a writer who ignored decades of canon to make it happen

Also, Kitty Pryde true love is Starlord, because same writer loves inserting his favorite characters unnecessarily into other series.

ANAD X-Men is hard to collect.

Nightcrawler only has a single figure from the Galactus Toy Biz wave. Classic Xavier was from that wave too. Colossus and Wolverine can be found easy, Banshee was a super early release Hasbro Marvel Legend.

I don't read Marvel anymore and haven't done so for years but even so, hearing that Bendis fucked off to DC was great news to me.
>>
>>7036266
I liked a lot of Bendis’ solo stuff, like Moon Knight or Daredevil, and Ultimate Spiderman is one of my favorite books (at least until Ultimatum). And honestly I even liked his Uncanny X-Men run and his Avengers okay. But All-New X-Men was all over the place, and turning Iceman gay was too PC for me. I have zero problems with another character picking up the mantle, like Miles Morales or Jane Foster. That’s what keeps comics fresh. But a new gay x-men character was never going to be popular if that was their whole purpose, so trying to retroactively make one of the original X-Men gay feels very inorganic. There’s no way to do it that doesn’t feel like it’s intentionally just to diversify X-Men, one of the most diverse teams already.

>>7036235
Doc Ock’s left hand might work. Or an AIM soldier’s hand. But neither of those are fists.

They literally just came out today in Canada at EBGames (our Gamestop), but i'm broke af and don't want to pay $45 for Elektra or something later on so I was going to pick up 1 or 2
If Amazon.com is anything to go by, Cloak and Dagger are the most expensive, followed by Daredevil and Elektra
But I mean how many casuals -really- know who Cloak and Dagger are...
>>
>>7038124
Prices always seem inflated when a wave first pops up. After a bit they start going down pretty heavy and then after everyone's picked them up on clearances and whatever , they start to get rare and prices climb up again
Admittedly, there's some exceptions and I'm worried that with Hasbro fucking with releases and pushing out like 5 waves at the same time, things might get crazy but I'm going to wait a little bit more before pulling the trigger on them

I didn't buy Rogue because her face looked awful. Her eyes are too far apart and appear to be looking in different directions like a chameleon, and it really doesn't help that her overall expression is vague and vacant.

Way back during Father's Day weekend, this super legit, not at all a scam website had a Hulkbuster figure that wasn't even out yet on sale for $30 (marked down from the usual price of $200).

Curious as to what I'd actually get, I went ahead bought one. I figured I'd get some bootleggy crap that was close enough to the figure to keep Paypal claims at bay.

Instead, straight from Toy Fair 2019, I got the exlusive 1/4th scale Union Legend Titan Hero Tech figue.

Money well spent...

Marvel Legends vs Marvel Select?

I've been collecting the MS line for a couple months now, so far I only have Dr. Strange (Disney store excl), Thanos w/ Lady Death, Deadpool, and Venom. They look fantastic and feel extremely high quality but unfortunately the line doesn't have that wide of a selection of characters, seeing as they only make a couple figures a year. I've been eyeing down Marvel Legends for a while now, especially that comic Thanos and the classic/retro/vintage line. Marvel Legends seems to have a pretty good overall selection but the quality seems to range from shit to fantastic. I just wanted to hear you fellas's opinions on which line is superior.
>>
My city (Toronto) got a widespread release of both the X-Men and SP//DR waves today
Drove around and called a bunch of places and from my personal experience;
- the rarest figure from the X-Men wave will probably be Sabertooth with Psylocke trailing behind Multiple-Man and Storm as the pegwarmers
- the rarest figures from the Sp//dr wave are Daredevil and Elektra. House of M Spider-Man will probably be the pegwarmer
- Doc Ock and Wolverine are popular characters to get, though they're both 2 to a case so it shouldn't be too hard to get one
Keep in mind that this could just be the demographic of my region, and it's literally release day so all of this is just speculation at this point but just thought i'd share my findings with you
>>
>>7038597
That's a pretty shitty assumption considering the Sabertooth mold is ass with a seemline around the jaw.
>>
>>7038597
In my city Elektra had the most available at gamestops followed by Doc Ock and then Dagger, Daredevil was only two (I snagged one) and Kaine went by the fastest, as did Cloak

Uh, pretty sure that's not true? I remember it being in the concept art, but the Russos cutting it because they didn't have enough time to put it to justice, and are saving it and the sword for the possible future

It's the same reason they just did a Beta Ray Bill reference in Ragnarok instead of a full on cameo.

It's just a ski mask he was going to wear at the end.

I'd buy this entire wave except maybe Cholk

I'm still genuinely surprised that a D-lister like Killmonger is one of the few villains that the MCU has done right by and possibly more.

The old one generally looks great, but I didn't enjoy it at all in hand. A combination of topheaviness and weak hips meant he could barely stay standing, and as you can see in this pic, the clear red on his shoulderpads really fades out over time, becoming this dull pink.

The new one looks much more solid, but it also looks boring and unthreatening. Also, I can't take his face seriously, it looks like a grimacing kid with dental headgear.

Nah, while Iceman was straight and later made gay, Jubilee was always Chinese from the get-go.

Batman actually did wear blue from the late 60s all the way into the early 90s.

Also, that Daredevil is pretty obviously wearing red with heavy black shadowing. It's not at all comparable to, say, Venom having blue highlights.

I didn't mean for that to be in greentext

what does it end up looking like? any pics ?
>>
>>7042690
Are you confused my dude? Gwenpool is wearing a leotard, and 90s Jubes wore fairly long cuffed jorts--nothing even close to a booty short. I'm guessing you're either thinking of one of her "sexy" reinterpretations like Shunya Yamashita's statue, or you have no idea what booty shorts actually are.
