I want to do a city trip to Asia at the end of this year to spend New Years Eve not alone in front of my computer (as usual).

I've only been to Japan (in Asia). While I'd be open to go back to Tokyo I think it would be nice to explore another place.

I think I'd go for 10 days, but I really just want to spend some time in a large Asian city. No month long backpacking this time.

What city do you recommend?

For New Years cross out Japan/Korea/China it'll be freezing.

Thailand is probably your best bet as a casual.

If you've got some money Singapore would be a really fun place to spend NYE.
