Hey /trv/

I'm trying to make traveling 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off work. My plan is to live normally in my permanent home for 2 weeks, and then go somewhere for another 2. Come back, rinse repeat.

I work remotely so this would mean just adjusting my work hours to match my colleagues. Accommodation is cheaper than my country literally everywhere (live in London), but the flight prices would kill. For example, an apartment in Thailand is £200 for 2 weeks. But the fucking ticket is £800.

Is anyone currently making this work? I don't want to move permanently/long term anywhere. Just on/off.

You could look into eastern EU or North Africa, accomodation is also pretty cheap but the plane tickets should be more affordable

Just rent houses in the country or seaside, and go there by car. Try this for a couple of months and see if you really do like that, then start adding airfares and getting farther and farther.

Not bad idea for summer, but for winter I'd love to go further
