>not even a million subs

they would be so much bigger if they had audience engagement. mike has a twitter he hasn't used in a decade
>>
>>100959058
They already jumped the shark and sold out, you really want to take it even further?
>>
why would they want to engage with screeching autists on social media?

sorry gramps, that's how the world works now
creators have to engage their audiences on social media if they wanna be relevant
>>
>>100959058
They would have over a million subs if they hadn't uploaded to Blip for the first few years of their popularity. They barely used their YouTube account, which is where the Phanton Menace review went viral. Not utilizing that so much early on was probably due to fear of copyright strikes (YouTube was much different in regards to fair use back then), but they've been steadily growing since using YouTube full time.

Another factor is that they're ultimately niche. They don't pander and the make long nerdy videos.

But ultimately, they have one of the best view-to-sub ratios I've ever seen on YouTube. There are people with millions of subs that struggle to get 100K views per video. RLM are playing the slow and steady game instead of trying to gain a bunch of subs really quick and then burning out even quicker.

>>
>>100959100
you need to open your eyes to the fact that conspiracies exist. who's to say mike doesn't get $50K each month from disney, and so scales back his critiques even more? jay follows everything mike says so he won't need to be paid off, and nobody takes rich evans seriously so mike doesn't have to worry about what he says.

shit, it could even be a possibility that mike was paid by disney as far back as the phantom menace review. it destabilized star wars just enough that the mouse could swoop in and save it. convenient.

They're called friends. Maybe you should stop watching RLM and try and make some for yourself.

This is a very good point.

I don't watch these guys but they have an insane amount of views per video considering their subscriber amount. Can anyone explain why this is? It's not like they're a new channel riding a surge of popularity
>>
The pathetic fanboying in these RLM threads always have that amusing cringe quality to them.
>>
>>100959058
I think they're happy not being the most popular. making some money, producing content on their own terms, what they want, and not literally everything they say is scrutinized and has articles written about. only /tv/ really knows about them
>>
>>100960194
>Can anyone explain why this is?
They have been consistent in quality and people enjoy their content. It's not that complicated.
>>
>>100960258
>only /tv/ really knows about them
LO fucking L
>>
>>100960194
Their latest Best of the Worst hit #4 on Trending. They're pretty popular and they do videos on pretty popular recent movies, and their content is decent, it's not really rocket science. When your videos are on trending you get a lot of non-subscriber viewers

Also subscribing means less these days since they fucked the whole system up. I'll keep up with channels and watch them a lot for weeks before actually subbing to them, and I basically sub to them because it gives me something to do during a boring part of the video - I barely use my sub box anymore and just go off recommendations/related videos/go to the channel

i've never subbed to anyone. i just google "avgn episode" on google to find the one i want
>>
>>100959118
Yeah! Afterall it's working out so well for Hollywood to engage with their audiences. Also other e-celebs. It absolutely hasn't destroyed anyone's credibility or profit margins by spending time sperging over drumpf and identity politics on social media.

I dont think they care. They make just enough money for beer and video games, and they are perfectly happy.
>>
>>100960298
Are you in the UK? Ive heard this before but it never seen them in the US.
>>
>audience engagement

but anon thats literally what kills any good content ever (youtube, twitch)

stop using words that rich has coined

not that anon but im in the UK and its currently number 14 on on trending

lol you fucking faggot
>>
>>100960425
Anon’s probably correct, I know folk who have rewatched many of their vids more than 20x. I myself have rewatched a few more than 5. YouTube view count is all views not unique views.

No they say in their TLJ review that part was dumb but not hilarious.
>>
>>100960848
so there is a review...
and I'm pretty sure they were dying of laughter
>>
>>100960571
Thanks. No. 14 here is NBA trash. Ive heard others from the UK say they’re trending but when I check here in the US, they’re not.

It’s just surprising is all.
>>
>>100960872
They literally say in the review that part didn’t make them laugh
>>
>>100959210
why would they bother doing a plinkett review, they barely cared enough to do one on TFA, and after much screeching and begging for it, autists were mad that it wasn't exactly the same amount of criticism that the prequels got.
>>
>>100960898
So they were laughing at nothing?
>>
>>100960924
What the fuck are you talking about? You’re either imagining them laughing at it or someone else took footage of them laughing at something else and edited it t9 the Leia scene. They themselves did not laugh at the Leia scene.
