Yeah I bet that'll show them feminists

Your forgetting that Han in A New Hope was an actual sexist that thought little of women. They are either going to retcon this or subvert his character by having Kaleesie and others out preform him. Disney marketing is very dupisidous but predictable if you follow the path they are on. You assume the title character will be the star of the show but it could very well go the way of Inspector Gadget or Green Hornet.

So he'll be sidelined in his own movie that has a misleading title due to some Disney marketing conspiracy to accomplish... what? Lose money on purpose? Why would they do that?
And it's either that or him being a 1970s sexist? No middle ground?
wtf kind of logic is that

Its not a conspiracy. Just look at the TLJ poster pre-release vs the Blu-Rey. They switched Rey and Luke for no reasons because they no longer needed Hamill to sell the movie. Everyone by now knew he was going to die in disgrace and his legacy diminished. Thus they put Rey in the center.
>>
I don't care. I can't identify with Rey more less than I can identify with Luke simply on the virtue one happens to have the same genitalia as me. Both are likeable enough characters, I guess, but I don't imagine myself in their place. They exist in their world and they take their actions and I watch them on a screen, hoping their actions will, at the end of the day, make for an engaging story. Which they do, I like Star Wars. I liked the prequels. I also like the sequels. Though I never held either to a very high standard, they're pulpy science fiction for nerds who aren't actually nerdy enough to think about their world long enough to notice that it doesn't make a lot of sense.

I like female characters. And coloured characters. I don't want to see a movie where everyone looks the same. If I went out on the street and everyone was white, male, and between 15 and 30 years I'd find it a bit offputting. It'd seem unnatural to me. You see a lot of different looking people and you wonder what their story is. Who they are. That doesn't have to be a matter of gender and ethnicity but it can be. Star Wars depicts a world where humanity is spread out over innumerable different planets. I imagine you'd find a lot of very different looking people there.

yeah not because she was the protagonist of the movie or anything
also
>he was going to die in disgrace and his legacy diminished
lmao if you believe that luke was the best part of TLJ and how an actual wise jedi master would act instead of doing lightsaber backflips or whatever manchildren wanted
>>
>>97362798
Good premise but needs work. Too many are memes that aren't actually in movies and some are too obvious like the kessel run

true, though LF/Disney big shots should start bragging after they create good female and PoC characters. cause so far, all of them are shit and unmmeorable in both ST and Rogue One. We'll see how Solo does. Lando should be much better than pathetic Finn/Poe/those RO fucks whose names nobody remembers, and Qi'ra looks more promising than desert waif and other forgettable chicks.

That fucking huge neck, lmao

That stupid scarf does her no favours to hide that giraffe.

Luke dies not only as the man who broke his own moral philosophy with his handeling of Kylo and gave up. Instead of teaching Rey anything, Rey teaches him. Then his final act is an act of deception. Nothing cool like the way Jeff Bridges went out in Tron: Legacy, as a larger then life figure to show Rey what she could accomplish one day. He was dressed like a sage and part of a messianic blood line. He didn’t need any Episode III fight scene, but he needed a grander exit then dying as a illusion.

Rey lectured Han about Falcon's compressor so it was a given she would lecture Luke. Just wait when she becomes the leader of the Resistance too.
>>
>>97364189
All while bypassing all the pain and humiliation Anakin and Luke went through? She lost Han who she saw as a father and a role model and she failed to turn Ben completely but did get him to betray Snoke. Hardship is the key to characters, Rey has little of it.

Yep, Han is second banana
>>
Never seen the new trilogy, what's this "uh no sweetie" about? Did she actually say this to a white male in the movies?
>>
>>97363069
Emilia is going to betray him, which is what causes Han to be the scoundrel we see in ANH. He's heartbroken ;_;

That could work? I hope your right anon.
