That's been on my to-do list to redo all the shitty editing, I've grab all the translations from the GL Webtoon thread at the time when it was on their pad before the imgurs was deleted (translations between raw images).
What needs to be redone is 13 (text stretching cringe worthy ness), 17-26, 29-40 (skip 33 as it's an advertisement and hasn't been translated.)

I think on page 29 it should be
> would you have chosen me instead of Shun!?
instead of
>would you have chosen not shun, but me!?
Sounds more natural, I think.

That empty bubble looks awkward on page 31, you may just want to leave the "...っ" in. It's kind of like a sharp intake of air in this particular instance. You could also put gasp.

Sage mod on/ And this is what happens when someone didn't wait for my QC before uploading chapter to dynasty / sage mod off.

p5 frame 2 (near the top)
missing "Wah"

p8 frame 2
untranslated sfx - "gasp"

p23 frame 2
missing translation for two sfx - both "Uuh"

p24 frame 3
missing "Those must be some lively patients!" line near the left speech bubble

p26 frame 1
"click click click"

Well, those are really negligible things. All in all, good job!

This one here reads "Syaro" in the translation, but i have some doubt about it. The character referred to here is "Sharo" from GochiUsa. I'd like to get a second opinion, otherwise i am going to trust the translator.
>>
>>2533746
I don't know anything about GochiUsa, but 'sya' and 'sha' are just two different ways of writing the same sound. Westerners prefer the latter while Japanese prefer the former (in my experience, at least).
>>
>>2533746
Syaro is its official romanisation. Same with Cocoa.
>>
>>2533755
>Westerners prefer the latter
Because it's the standard Heburn romanization rule.

>while Japanese prefer the former
They don't. Real people names and geography are consistently romanized with Hepburn rules. The anime/manga/games industry however are much less consistent due to its semi-unprofessional nature. The Japanese staff are mostly those who are not fluent in English and have no English specialist to quality-control the romanization (they don't expect to sell these to gaijin). As the result, most romanization is simply changing the keyboard mode from hiragana to latin alphabet and then type the same way they would type the hiragana, hence the frequent sy/sh, r/l, b/v mix up.
>>
>>2533769
>>2533755

Thank you for the clarification, i am going to stick with Syaro. Case closed.

I know that there aren't many translators or editors with free time who would be interested in this, but there's a really nice manga on pixiv about a dragon girl and a blind girl starting a relationship together. It's pretty cute, though I'm a bit biased 'cause I love monster girl yuri. And it doesn't seem to have any dumb melodrama, though I don't read moonrunes so I can't say for certain. You can find it using this tag:

I appreciate the offer but I'm keeping this as a solo pet project (the one checking my translations is someone I know who I can PM) unless there's a group that wants to pick it up who can devote more resources it it.

Actually I'm kind of hoping that me working on it draws attention to the manga so someone better can work on it.

Also here's another bit that shows how gay the MC is. Literally her first meeting with main heroine she's thinking "a beautiful girl is talking to me." Actually seems kind of strange since Koyuki seems to me more on the "cute tomboyish girl" end of the spectrum
>>
>>2539140
Well. I'm cool with that. I just want to offer a hand so that something I like could get released faster.
Though I'm a little bit worried that if something like Nettaigyo could attract the eyes of the the other /u/ scanlator groupsor not. It's comfy to read, but it's also slow and there is not much yuri either (though I think it will get there).

Also I dont really think we can read too much into that scene where Konatsu commented on Koyuki's beauty (girls in manga commen on each other's look all the time), but that indirect kiss scene was surely super cute and gay.
>>
>>2539140
Manga is very poor at expressing physical attractiveness. I can't count the amount of supposedly "plain/ugly" characters looking like cute guys and girls in the drawing, or supposedly "hot stuff" looking worse than their average peers, or ridiculously attractive bombshell being just "average."

So I never jump to conclusion and just wait until canon tell me what the characters are supposed to look like. If a short hair girl is said to be beautiful instead of handsome, I search for an IRL picture to make it easier to imagine.

So, i'm working with a translation that has french accents in it's text. The fonts i use all have no support for french accents, and a preliminary search has turned up no suitable font choices. Anyone knows if pic related (sorry for the small image) is already in translation process?

As far as I know, there's japanese magazine called "Da Vinci" and its march edition is about Yuri, with interviews of various mangakas (Morishima Akiko, Oosawa Yayoi, Nakatani Nio, Canno, and of course, Takashima Hiromi) and a mini-novel (or something like that), so if someone could translate it, it would be very appreciated.

Also, sorry again, but I won't have any source material.
>>
Just wondering, is there a general purpose website to find raw manga to translate?
>>
>>2539652
You can try yuri projects needs translation section. You can also lurk the monthly yuri hime thread, someone usually posts the month's issue very timely.

You can also shitpost about how yuri scanlation is so slow, and people will usually start naming series that have had their translations stopped for one reason or another.
>>
>>2539652
There are a lot of sites that posts raw mangas. Here are some:
http://13dl.net/category/manga/yuri
http://lhscans.com/manga-list-genre-yuri.html
https://e-hentai.org/tag/female%3Afemales+only
http://www.mangaup.net/

If you're looking for something more flexible, you can post your translations here or on yuriproject:
http://safe.yuriproject.net/wakaba.html
http://nsfw.yuriproject.net/wakaba.html

Or you can join a scanlator group (https://dynasty-scans.com/forum/topics/5736-scanlator-recruiting-project-discussion?page=12).

Do we have a confirmation on the genre and whether it's actually yuri but slow or just strong subtext and isn't advertised as yuri?
>>
>>2542781
It's promoted as yuri.

>>2542153
It doesn't get any gayer after 35 chapters? What a bummer.
>>
>>2542781
It's just strong subtext and bookstores advertise it as yuri.
>>
Aoi goes beyond subtext though, the current source of drama is how she gets jealous at Hana getting close to Miu, culminating in her admitting her feelings but a rift growing between them because Miu can't reciprocate.

MC sees this happening and gets worried that her own relationship with Hana might be just as fragile. Even though she only thinks of Hana as a close friend at this point, she wants something more concrete because she's afraid it could fall apart at any second like Aoi/Miu.

It's a slow burn focusing on the emotional side, but I'd be surprised if it didn't end up with MC explicitly falling in love with Hana eventually.
>>
>>2542781
The author is an yurifag too. But it is on Young Animal magazine whose usual leaders are not keen on Yuri (like Shoraiteki which is on Bessatsu Shonen Magazine).

I will never understand why the western community gets so caught up distinguishing between subtext and yuri.
>>
>>2542855
Scanlating something takes a lot of effort. So people don't want to do it unless they're fairly sure that it fits their tastes. It isn't just for subtext vs yuri.
>>
>>2542781
>>2542792
There is something between the side char but nothing from the main couple that particularly makes my heart goes doki doki. The subtext between them is not that strong either.
I would say among the other shounen-advertised-as-yuri (Nettaigyo, Shouraiteki, Adachi...) this one is the least gay of them all. Until the author throws some bones this way it's hard to muster the motivation to work on it.
>>
>>2542855
It's because for a number of anons, actually getting a clear cut answer of what they define as "yuri" is like a never-ending Final Destination meme. eg. People will complain that stuff without kissing and sex isn't proper yuri while also complaining that the stuff with kissing and sex is just fanservice.
>>
>>2543027
It's more due to the limitation of the language than anything. While I myself consume every yuri from explicit to subtext to goggles to bait to fanservice, I can see why some people prefer to seek out a specific type and got angry if they waste time on something that isn't as advertised.

It's a fact that we have yet to have a universally standarized classification. Currently, "Subtext" to one person might mean "unstated but clearly implied lesbianism (and might be confirmed by Words of God)", while it could be "open to interpretation" or even "clearly just friendship but there's no het" to another. It's the same thing with fanservice and bait and canon. Unclear definitions lead to false expectation and subsequent disappoinment. But the yuri community is dead set on never coming together to standarize the terminology, so here we are. Hell, the majority is still stubborn about the usage of "shoujo ai."

Because, for one, it's an important thing for us, who want this genre to be taken seriously and not as a subplot? It's not that I don't consider subtext yuri 'yuri', obviously. Just that I want my romance to have, well, actual romance in it.

>it's still causing arguments
>no it isn't, it's only causing arguments!
Case in point.

Until when people learn to have a quality discussion instead of contradicton for contradiction's sake,, there'll be no solution to the problem. Endless threads will be swarmed with talks about what is yuri instead of talks about yuri.
>>
>>2543125
I'll admit I walked into that but I was pointing out your usage of majority was wrong. Majority is pretty settled on what the word is which was what you were saying wasn't happening. Now your saying it's used solely for arguments, which ya it is.
>>
>>2543124
Too bad she's on only one Eclair and next Eclair (if exists) will be at least months away.
>>
>>2543042
Not even the Japanese can agree on the meaning, look at the arguments in the Citrus anime threads. And there will never be a universal meaning, because every community has its own general concept of yuri. For example, Narou writers will happily tag harem side yuri, futa, or TS as 'yuri', but on pixiv it's generally closer to the /u/ concept of yuri.

Regarding Nakasetai specifically, no doubt some people are paranoid after bullshit like Asterism, but Fumio Aya is a yuri artist, the plot is currently dealing with the resolution of the side pair yuri crush, and it's definitely building up towards something between the main pair. There's plenty of other slow-burn yuri where they aren't instantly jumping in each other's pants, so I don't see why this is getting singled out.

>>

>Asterism
I hate it but it's very much yuri in my book though. I mean its fucking plot is about 3 girls crushing on each other. Its execution and ending being shit and not so /u/ friendly is an entirely different matter.

I think some of us are obsessed with labeling because it helps us manage our expectation properly for payoff and reward. Let's give an example: for TodoIto, the Yuri tag allow yuri fans to overlook the hetero relationship (which is playing a huge part) and enjoy the story because many feel it secure a payoff in the future. Had this been published without it I bet Jap yurifans would have looked at it much differently.

In the case of Nakasetai, a yuri tag would tell us that MCs relationship will eventually turn romantic and we can safely hop on the ride, looking forward to the day they get there. If publisher is firm that it's absolutely not yuri like Futarigohan or AniYome? Well it's not a problem either, we can lower the expectation and just appreciate the girls bonding and doing things together. Ambiguous stuff is literally the worst as it throws you in a frenzy and you constantly have to think about will they or won't they shag.

You might think the guy ragging on him is just some person who hates him badmouthing him, but there is truth in what they say. Goggled has admitted in the thread in the past that they use OCR software and they've admitted to using machine translation as well. And even if say they're learning Japanese and only use those to make up for shortcomings in their knowledge, you'd be much better off having someone who does have a proper grasp of the language do any sort of QC work otherwise you're still quite susceptible to error. Anyway, there's a fair chance they're ignoring you because that extra is largely handwritten and OCR + drawing characters in Google translate isn't doing a sufficient job.

Here's one such instance if you care to see:

Heqr me out /u/

Would something like a crowdsourced translation project be a viable thing? You know how sites like Danbooru have a feature where you can add annotations to images and some people use it to translate text on fanart? Why not use that in translating full manga?

You'd no longer have an issue with scanlation groups hoarding raws and sitting on a series for years without doing anything with it.

It would still be necessary to register to prevent random people from coming in and vandalizing translations. And even if someone does do that, it would still be possible to revert to an earlier state

Would something like this work or wouldn't it turn into a clusterfuck?
>>
>>2547624
>sites like Danbooru
So you're saying we need another Danbooru?

>Why not use that in translating full manga?
Danbooru already has full manga that are translated like this. It's not just for translating characters on fanart. Anyone who spends more than a casual amount of time there knows this.

>clusterfuck
Nailed it.
>>
>>2547632
Those full manga are still self published web series and doujins. As far as I know there are no commercially published manga on Danbooru.
>>
>>2547624
>annotations
Lame compared with proper editing.

>scanlation groups hoarding raws
It wouldn't really stop any groups that already do this from continuing to if there's still nobody else who uploads the raws.

>Would something like this work or wouldn't it turn into a clusterfuck?
I don't think there's much chance it would work out well. Vandals aside, you'd undoubtedly see conflict rise when people are modifying other people's work and competing over certain works. I think you'd be pretty hard pressed to find properly neutral and qualified moderation staff to settle disputes, pick the best translation, and to not play favorites when doing so. It would be my guess that the ease that comes with not needing to do editing probably opens you up to more unskilled translators and machine translators who might otherwise have trouble finding a group and rightfully so and you'd probably want to bar them from participating if you want quality work done. I'm sure there would be additional issues arise that I've not thought of.

I have seen a couple game translation projects on github and the like before, and judging from miscellaneous screenshots of the finished projects I can't say I've seen one churn out a translation that I would call anything near good.
>>
>>2547624
Danbooru prohibited commercialized manga because of copyrights issues. A site hosting RAW manga out in the open is gonna get sued. Zips and torrents are easier to escape scrutiny because they're compressed files, and even then several people had been arrested in Japan after being caught sharing scanned doujins/manga.

Scanlated manga already has the text altered to other languages, so nip citizen cannot read them and they still need to buy their own nip publication, resulting in no loss for the publisher and author. Danbooru-style posting will damage the income of these people because nips can easily read these manga for free.

You're not the only one who had thought of a Danbooru for manga. I've been a mod there for 7 years. Nobody had done it because they know it's not possible.

Hi, everybody from /u/. "Kanna's Daily Life" translator here.

I would like a little help with a panel that is impeding me from publishing the chapter 34.

I'm in need of a proper translation for the line

荷台の モノを 見ててもらう 形になりますが

in the first panel. Since I'm not a native English speaker, this line in particular is giving me more troubles than I usually have.

Thanks a lot to all of your support. More Kanna x Saikawa love coming as soon as possible.
>>

荷台の モノ The stuff in the back of the truck
を 見ててもらう Getting them to watch over it (to make sure it doesn't fall, etc.)
形になりますが Emphasizes that even though he's offering everyone a ride, he wants them to (watch over the stuff)

So it would be something like "If you don't mind watching the stuff in the back for me".
