Spe admits she loves Suzuka more than anyone else.
And then they promise to be rivals (and probably lovers as well).
>>2623086Jebaited us real hard
This series and Anne Happy are the only ones that satisfied my super-specific fetish of older women swooning over handsome reverse traps.
>>2623090It looks like she just gave birth to it.
>>2623798It's a psychological replacement.
>>2623494Will Grass-chan ever catch a break?
>>2623807I'm sure the loss was terrible. She just needs to move on, and heal.
New manga chapters when
>>2623807>>2623885OH GOD DAMN IT
Isn't the orange horse in love with the trainer or something?
>>2623954No. Of course not. If you fell for that screenshot you should stop watching the show. It's just a "taken out of context" sexual screenshot.
>>2623954The only character that could possibly have feelings for the trainer is the rival trainer
These girls eats like horses
>>2624007They shoot horses, don't they?
>>2624066No they just take them to the glue factory
>>2624387I wish they did more about the "rivalry" triangle thing
>>2623957>>2623976Alright, I'll cave and watch it. I was expecting this to be another Two Car. They did have plenty or yuri couples but the MCs should just have crashed.
>>2623096El condor Join The Brawl?>>2623097>>2624387>>2624388Well, it seems that this would be her personality trait, I personally did not remember that Grass existed before the jealousy part.>>2624492the comparison never made any sense in the first place, you can also see Uma as the complete opposite of LWA.LWA is basically something without any merit and a lot of credit that does not deserve.>that imageall that damn potential wasted, how the hell did they screw everything up?
>>2624657>LWA is basically something without any merit and a lot of credit that does not deserve. You wot bitch.
>>2624066No. They make them Emcee dance marathons, though.
I want to thank this artist for supplying us this good rare content.
>Gay horses dominating in sales Yuri is saved.
>>2627338> Yuri is savedis the trainer dead?
>>2627338yay?This Anime really deserves it, I like the implication that Franxx was defeated for the second time by something dominated by women.>>2627350>>2627364Are you idiots right?go back to Franxx or LWA
>>2627370>>2627338You guys must be happy that this "gay horse" anime is "dominating the sales" because another mobage is doing the job for it. If anything, you should thank GBF for Uma's "really deserved" sales. I would prefer Franxx over Uma because at least Franxx is selling on its own merits like all other anime this season whereas Uma cheated its way to the top with GBF.
>>2627383Someone is salty that the sex robots isn't doing as hot as everyone thought it would.
>>2627392At least Franxx has a legitimate lesbian. Uma doesn't have one.
>>2627409Seeing as how Uma MC has two mothers I suspect you don't even watch the show. At least the Uma girls aren't going to die while simulating hetshit.
>>2627412Seeing as how Special's horse mom died and she was raised by her human mom alone, I suspect that YOU didn't watch the show.
>>2627419What does that have anything to do with the fact that Special Week has two mothers with no father in site? Nothing, just seems youre just salty over the soon to he dead tragic lesbian in Franxxx.
>>2627429the fact that we still have no idea how it worked or if there's a father somewhere in the biological line and we don't know if those mothers loved each other or anything of the like makes thinking uma musume is something with yuri is just grasping at straws
How did GBF help Uma Musume? Did I miss something somewhere?
>>2627587Both are mobages (Ume Musume in development). They both have a anime. Thats all.
>>2627595That sounds like a stretch to say that it helped, then.
>>2627587>>2627595The Uma Musume DVDs came with Grablue Fantasy codes that gave things like guaranteed SSR Character tickets.
>>2627601OOOOOOOOH I see.I guess GBF is also by Cygames?
>>2627606Yeah, Cygames is pretty secretive about their revenue, but Granblue Fantasy is most likely their biggest cash cow. They're also behind other popular mobile games like Shadowverse.
>>2627587>>2627595>>2627596Uma Musume BD/DVD sales were flopping until Cygames put codes for one of their popular games called Granblue Fantasy into them and that boosted the sales by a mile. Cygames is also making Uma's game. Sounds a great strategy but at the same time it's unfair for the rest of the shows who are selling on their own while Uma Musume is topping the ranking because of an unrelated series.
>>2627614>Unfair.In the games of love and war, everything goes. This is a great anime and it deserves the money, even if it's getting it just because of nip´s obsession with exclusive bullshit.
>>2627659Yeah, gotta agree with this. The only people this will "hurt" is autistic Anons who can't stand to see their Darling show "lose"
>>2627668Oh boy, here we go.
>>2627668With two episodes left, I think they'll probably keep the focus on Spec. And really, Trainer at this point is pretty much a (trying to be) hip dad.
>>2627668>All she thinks about during this scene is her promise to Spe-chan>"I-IT'S HETROMANCE GUYS"Fuck off.
>>2627614I'm pretty sure they did the exact same thing with the Granblue Fantasy Blurays. People bought them for the promo codes and apparently a lot of GBF Blurays could be found in used movie stores afterwards
>>2627668Nice fishing.>>2627673>>2627677>>2627682Why so mean?
>>2627738these were cute too
>>2627465We dont know how it worked? The series literally starts out explaining that horse girls are created with spirits from another world. It doesnt take much to figure the relationship when her adoptive mother was there are her birth, lives in their old house and has the funeral shrine. Best friends dont have shrines for each other.
>>2627796Thirsty bedroom eyes if I've ever seen some.
In response to question on wether she has an interest in a japanese horse girl.
>>2628131>forget racing, suzuka won't even be able to walk after a night with spe.png
>>2628155Being a horsegirl gives you lots of stamina, and those strong legs probably allow for a lot of tribbing positions and flexibility.
>>2627685the big difference is that that Anime was bad with desire, let's be honest Uma had a bad start, things got good from episode 4 onwards.>>2627738So they are going to take that route?>>2627677It seems more like the poor Uncle that nobody in the family can hate.>>2627659Like the first season of Sympogear, it was not good and I use Nana Mizuki to sell and what came out afterwards, made everything worthwhile.>>2627409like Maid tai, Railgun, Bakatest or even Venus vs. virus, how did that end, by the way?talking about sales and Cygames, how did Bahamut do in general?
>>2628724finally, a well-used Mod.
>>2627685>>2627663>>2627659That's what you don't get it. In GBF's case, that's not an issue because GBF is already an established franchise way before the anime aired and the anime selling because of the game's codes made sense. The game and the anime are both parts of GBF and other franchises do that.In Uma's case, it is very questionable. The anime is selling mainly because of said established franchise that is completely unrelated to it and the codes aren't even for the its own upcoming game. And just because they are from the same company isn't enough to justify that. To say that Uma Musume anime deserves the money because another franchise is doing the job for it while the rest are selling based on their own merits and quality sounds really pathetic.
>>2628823>the rest are selling based on their own meritsyou knew that an anime can also sell only by the name of the studio, that's why a garbage like Phantom world or mediocre like Violet sold something.what it is trying to say, if it is a dishonest practice and a low play, but Uma deserves those numbers because this Anime doing a good job, an Anime like Side M was moved by the Fujos, but it had real merits.
>>2628864Yeah why not thank Granblue for the "well-deserved" numbers. If Uma performed average in sales before the bonus, then it may not be a good anime after all.
>>2628885>then it may not be a good anime after all. Many good series of Anime, have not sold well, many things could be against, but deserved more than they got as Action Heroine Cheer Fruits or Wakamote.
>>2628513Strong and flexible indeed.
>>2627409>Franxfags v Umafag Forced Fanbase WarReally?
>>2624657>LWA is basically something without any merit and a lot of credit that does not deserve. Is this a serious post? LWA may not be yuri but it was fun and is sure as hell better than this horse anime you shit.
>>2627409Sick burn but you're right.
>>2627780or it could be out of respect for her adopted daughter? Have you ever thought about that? She adopted her after her mom died and built a shrine for her because she loves her new daughter. As much as I want a NanoFate tier relationship, we can't always have nice things.
>>2630579Ironic given there is very little to support NanoFate in canon other than Vivio calling them both her mother.
>>2630584Yeah. Don't know why people are rushing to be skeptical of the uma musame mommy thing. The show could have had her parents be the normal het setup just like everyone else but they didn't.NanoFate isn't canon either, aside from fan popularity, which might make it seem like it, but it was never official.
>>2630584>very little to support NanoFate in canon other than Vivio calling them both her mother.Oh god, I hope you're joking. They have the most official art getting married or paired up together. Tell me any other series that has that. Even their VAs admits they're gay.
>>2630584>>2630592If you people deny NanoFate even when there is a ton of evidence and support that they're together then I don't understand how you can think horse's moms are together just because they have a shrine of the dead one in their house lol.
>>2630573> LWA may not be yuri > was fun>sure as hell better than this horse anime you shit.not only have you not seen what you criticize, but you value a personal judgment as an absolute truth.Consider LWA mediocre at best and I mean that it has no real Yuri merits beyond "official yuri art" but lack of real content, plus a story that simply was not handled correctly.>>2630576>Sick burn but you're right. No, nobody said that she is a lesbian either, sexuality is not supposed to exist in that world.
>>2630599Official art dont mean shit. In the actual manga and anime they are still stuck in subtext limbo. No kiss, no confession, no declaration of romantic love. To put NanoFate on a pedestal and then weasel out of accepting Special Weeks mothers is just hypocritical.
>>2630592strangely, Maho Precure seems more official regarding the two mothers and being an official partner as far as I understand, besides being an anime school of witches with real merits.
>>2630639Their daughter was born from an act of handholding.
>>2630599Disregarded because of the no-longer-paired Vivió and Ein
>>2630612>No kiss, no confession, no declaration of romantic love.None of that is needed when they sleep in the same and have a daughter. For all intents and purposes they are a couple.
>>2630838Doesnt seem you have been here for the whole conversation.
>>2630610Have you even seen the last episodes of DitF. Ikuno is a straight up lesbian, and sexuality does exist for parasytes.
>>2630939A lesbian in love with a straight girl who will never correspond her feelings.
>>2630969Slip of the tongue.
>>2631003Seems kind of unsanitary to type with your tongue, but you must give mad head with all that strength and dexterity.
>>2630925I can already smell the het doujins.
>>2631423nee-chan's talking about the new blonde horse and how all the doujin writers are going to write het doujins and there won't be any yuri doujins with her. It's just /u/ being /u/.
>>2631469that reminds me of Girl Friend Beta or Kill me baby that really generated Yuri content (even Doujins) without any problem, while something like Kegerui, only generated Het.
>>2631499Yes, it's really sad about that one.
You can't have a European girl in an anime without...
Why is the episode out so early?
>>2632616Episodes have always come out at the 12:00-12:30pm EST time for me.
>>2632736Is there anyone who can even remotely control our girl Spe-chan?
Suzuka meets her future mother-in-law.
Gold Ship's autistic love for Mejiro McQueen is pure.
So it appears this is too sensitive a topic for the general thread, so I'll ask again here: now that the show is over, what's the final verdict? Is the coach constantly shoved in your face during the whole thing, or is he tolerable? Is the subtext between the main pairing satisfying to the end, or is it forgettable bait?
>>2637753It's a good watch (assuming watching girls run a lot is your thing) that is a lot better than its first episode suggests. The coach is toned down to a supportive dad role although he does reprise his awkward gag on another unsuspecting horse in the final minutes and yuri pairs spring up all over the place .
>>2637758>>2637764I was just about to post "Your mileage may vary." or something similar. But there you go...
Considering the premise of the show, it was much better than I expected and the finale I thought was pretty great. Never had a problem with the trainer - he suited his role fine and even had some good moments in pushing the girls to what they could do.All the characters were likable and amusing in their own way. Straight-up yuri was a no-go, as I pretty much expected, but each girl had their own rival/friend/someone they stuck close to and looked up to to the point where, as is the nature of /u/, it takes little for us to get our minds going. Especially as each friend/pairing embodies a nature of a pairing we all enjoy (Vodka/Scarlet's love-hate, the goofy Gold Ship/royal-like McQueen, Special Week/Suzuka's tenderness, and so on). The antics and scenes between these girls are a great mix of laughs and heartwarming. The races themselves could be surprisingly intense and exciting, mainly Spe's as she is the star of course. A couple - particularly Special Week's and El Condor's - were edge-of-the-seat exciting and the victories, I felt, could be as gratifying to the viewer as it was to the horse girl with the losses stinging just as much. All in all, a good anime. Cute and fun to watch with the occasional - to our /u/ senses - brief glimpses into the future of what married life would look like for some of them.
So can we place this in sports shows on par with the other fujo-aimed sports shows in good quality?
>>2637793Maybe, it's pseudo idol racing anime.Next season we will get badminton and volleyball main female cast shows so maybe they will be more yuri related since horsegirls disappoint on that level.
>>2637753It's pretty good. Yuri is pretty basic subtext but if you like sports anime is worth watching.
>>2637764>Zero, even subtextYour definition of subtext must be pretty narrow if you didn't see any subtext here. It's low compared to other shows but it's defintely there.>but he had some moments with Suzuka.Nice het goggles.
>>2637793Why do you compare it to fujo-aimed sports shows?
>>2637764>where girls are basically waifus aimed at viewers due to game, nothing more. Now this is just wrong. The game might be targeted to waifufags, but the anime was clearly made to have a broader appeal. If they truly were aiming for the waifufag crowd there would be a lot more ecchi and the coach would be more generic-looking or perverted, etc.But that is not the case, it's clear that they want you to care for the characters more than in just a "pretty waifu" way. Care was put into their characterization to reflect the horses they are based on, much like everything else in the show.
>>2638161It's a shitpost, nee-chan. just ignore it.
>>2638161Tit-for-tatGotta have our own successful franchises of certain genres on par with the fujos
>>2638210Saki exists you know.
>>2638267>Saki exists you know.Beyond Japan
>>2638283>Beyond Japanthat matters?so we need people who have seen less than 30 series in 40 years and think that TG is a masterpiece, plus GUP is also one thing.
Donut couple is underrated
>>2640019I like that this Annime did not do the same foolishness of Im@s CG, giving too much importance to the cameos and ignoring their true protagonists, although Uma focused too much on the SpeSuzu couple
>>2640100Get better goggles.
>>2640798love can do anything
>>2640798It's just dry humping.
>>2640095I wonder why people are so prissy about the skaters not being in the anime when we got SpeSuzuka?
>>2641930Well, it is quite a waste not to get a fully canon couple with kisses in a regular series.
>>2641930Cause it was false advertising.
>>2641930is not the first PV with is completely different from the final result, but at least Uma was good in its own right and SpeSuzu were special (Get it?)
>>2642231No, it's shitty way to bait with yuri where one horsegirl would actively wanted to fuck another on-screen and add to that gay skating.I know you don't watch anime for yuri but I suppose for us, yurifans, that would be a nice bonus than getting girlship/close friendship/no romantic situations on-screen at all of what we got here as a result.Maybe they just weren't allowed to add that being scared of horse owners reaction to make two of their horses gay for another. But we are talking here about Cygames which gave us really shitty Bahamut 2 season and who cancelled the Bahamut yuri anime for that.
>>2642241or maybe it was just a PV, but it has to be considered that I pose two completely different sports, maybe using skating would not have worked well for the Fujos complaining about "manning" her "masterpiece" and that kind of shit from people who do not knows how the industry works.
>>2642248What do Fujos have to do with a 99% all-girl character show? I think something got lost in translation, ESL-chan.
