Word on the street is a bunch of stores Restocked today, did you get one /v/?
>>
why would i. Literally why would I. If I really wanted to play these games I would have played them one way or another years ago. But I clearly don't. but apparently some people are still children and can't resist buying a shiny new toy, despite the fact they will probably only use it for about 10 hours total
>>
No, I didn't get one.
>>

>>
Which stores?
>>
no. not even if they were free when emulation exists.
>>
Why the fuck would I buy one of these when I can download an emulator and a rom and play any of these games and more whenever I want?
>>
I'm unclear on why you would buy this kind of product unless you're the kind of lame white dad who has a "game room" with a bunch of nintendo posters and ikea furniture with a bunch of nintendo merchandise on all the shelves.
>>

>>393201348

Goddamn salty bitches
>>
>buying emulators
>>
Fot a sfc min with the adapter for like $110 because my times isn't worthless. Weird that literally no jap shops are listing them instead they all have those bs lotteries though.
>>
>>393201696
Same reason anyone would want an emubox. Novelty and at least this one doesn't cost you $50 in print and pcb costs only too look like rat chewed etsy garbage.
>>
>>393200125
Why would I buy something I can get for free and more conveniently?
>>
>>393203263
>>
>>393200798
Because you can make it into an awesome emulation machine. With a wii pro controller you can even play n64 game. All on the stock ui. Also first party nes, snes, and eventually n64 controllers.

Stay fanny flustered you didn’t get one.
>>
is there an adapter you can buy to use the controllers on pc?

I'd rather by a raspberry pi. But is there any sort of UI I can get that mimics the SNES mini? Because that game selection is cute.
>>
>>393204658
Yes it’s called a wiimote
>>
>>393201151
>>393202823
>>393204652
Not him but why the fuck would anyone be salty they didn't get an overpriced emulation box with a limited number of games. Anyone who's not a complete retard can easily access the entire SNES library where as your stuck with the games on there and very limited storage space to add games with through hacking.
>>
no and i fucking wont

no one loves you OP stop being a shill

ill get one of these from 8bitdo instead
https://www.amazon.com/8Bitdo-SF30-Controller-Windows-macOS-Android/dp/B0748S3GXG/
>>
>>393204743
Yeah I think there's one for lakka.

For those of you who own a NES classic, you can simply turn your NES classic into a SNES / Famicom classic or vice versa by simply dropping a firmware file onto your machine.
>>
>>393204901
Obvious samefag but you lack reading comprehension.

You can soft hack the snes and nes classics and play any damn game you want up to the n64 era. Google hakchi2 kid. Look at the damned pictures.
>>
>>393205062
Oh thats pretty cool then! I like the boxart and the controllers being shown for players its really cute.
>>393205296
Can you drop the firmware onto like anything?
>>
>>393205296
>SNES classic
>with a two button controller

good luck with that
>>
>>393204901

This
>>393205434

I have 172 games on mine. It accepts compressed zip files with hakchi2. Nes snes sega gameboy gba gamegear. All on the cute ui. Cry more that you didn’t get one.
>>
>>393200125
I got one, I was the fag that made the thread yesterday, check your local targets
>>
>>393205498
Think it's still kind of a work in progress so there might be some differences still.
>>
>>393201392
Because you can literally put any SNES game onto this thing and play it on a TV with actual licensed Nintendo Controllers.
>>
People saying they wouldn’t don’t know about hakchi2 and never will understand unless they try it.
>>
Bless whoever developed Retroarch to run on these. I can run Gradius 2, Kid Dracula, Wai Wai world on the NES mini. And now, Tales of Phantasia and Star Ocean on the SNES classic. And it's entirely stealth, you won't even realize Retroarch kicks in except for not having the graphical sidebars.

>Can you drop the firmware onto like anything?
The firmware is compatible because it's essentially the same hardware. You can put the emulator on a RaspB though because it's made for Linux.

>>393205573
A Wii pro controller does the job just fine.
>>
>Nintendo could have easily made the USB port only for power
>instead of gives direct access to the systems memory and can even rewrite it

What did they mean by this?
>>
>>393206018

This. All these other fuckers complaining when they didn’t even know about hakchi and retroarch. I’m playing mario64 on mine with a wii pro controller plugged into the console.
>>
$100 CAD? No fucking thanks.
>>
>>393206172
There was even a cute message found when it was hacked in there like have fun don’t break anything in here
>>
>have PC plugged into my living room TV
>emulate whatever, also play modern games on it
>didn't have to buy some stupid shit
>"you're so jealous that I have roms :^)"
lol
>>
scalpers already won though
>>
>>393206350
Jealous about first party controllers and dat ui. Mommy wouldn’t let you take off from school to go get one at the store? ;_;

Nah I got 3. One online order from for myself, one waking in a local GameStop yesterday at noon for my sister, and one online order from Walmart for my best friend. People who didn’t get one didn’t try. There was way more stock than the nes classic and I got 1 of those.
>>
>2017
>still giving a shit about snes emulation.
ahahahahhaha
>>
>>393206172
Not only that but they also used the Linux kernel. They're literally begging to modify their devices.
>>
>>393206483
no i just really like their controllers krillin
>>
>>393204652
How many snes games can you put on It?
I don't need them all, just another 30 games thereabouts
>>
>>393206658
it already supports compressed ROM files so like, 300 or so
>>
>>393206483
>>393206456

This it’s underage wanna be hipsters who couldn’t get out of middle school to go purchase a system.
>>
>>393200125
I'm waiting for the N64 mini but I fear it might not have a lot of great/important games that it should have such as Goldeneye due to licensing issues and Rare.
>>
>>393206658
I have 162 snes games on mine with room after the latest hakchi2 update
>>
>>393206837
Controller costs alone would probably keep it from happening.
>>
>>393206837
without 4 person multiplayer goldeneye is just dated trash.
>>
>>393206837
no th\ey are doing gameboy classic next you fucking reject
>>
>>393206837

Why worry when you can softmod it and put whatever games you want on it? Read the thread fucker>>393206837
>>
>>393206941
Why? That sounds a bit ridiculous.
>>393206953
It doesn't matter since it was a game that defined the console. It is as important to the console as OOT and SM64 were. Its omission would be very noticeable to people who grew up with it.
>>
I hope so, stupid guy are work with spent money buying 10 of them to sell for profit
>>
Still waiting patiently for a restock here in Ireland

>paying for shitty wii port controllers and a shitty Pi hidden in a shitty plastic model of an SNES
>>
>>393207124
If you pay for shipping I can sell you one with the collectors book with PayPal buyer protection.

It’s a us system tho
>>
>>393207097
Even if Rare/Microsoft were cool with it, Goldeneye wouldn't happen, for probably the same reasons none of the TMNT games were on the NES/SNES Classics.

Might get Perfect Dark, but again Rare/MS would need to be okay with it.
>>
>>393207271
How is that book anyways? Thinking about picking one up.
>>
>>393207271
Nah, I am fine mate, but thanks for offering.

Hope they restock it before Black Friday though, I don't have much time left in here.
>>
>>393207431

It doesn’t matter when you can mod it in under 10 minutes by plugging it into your computer with the wire it comes with and put those games on there. Nintendo is selling an emulation box without saying it outright. There’s literally a message coded in saying have fun don’t break anything in here by the developers
>>
>>393207619
Part of me is wondering if Nintendo was (or still is) trying to find a way to straight up sell legal versions of ROMs. Like if they made kind of like an offical verison of hackchi or something that lets you add more games to your NES/SNES, and Nintendo sells the ROMs from a website.

I know /v/ would think that's retarded when there's still SNES ROMs everywhere and hackchi works fine, but I can guarantee a lot of people would pay for an "Official" way to put more games onto these things.
>>
>>393207097
They retailed at a much higher costs and Ninty ramping back up production on controllers that break themselves just doesn't seem that likely, let alone the current state of n64 emulation. Even on virtual console they package individual emu solutions for each game.
>>
>>393207926
are you retarded? they already did this with the wii.
>>
>>393207171
Hmmm yeah just look how slick this is.
>>
>>393208081
Yeah, N64 controllers cost a shitload to make, that's why they were sold individually and at launch it only came with 1.

Does anyone else remember the great N64 Shortage of '96? You used one of those Madcatz Monstrosities because there was literally nothing else to get.
>>
>>393208128
no I meant like selling ROMs you could download to your computer, which you then could transfer onto your Classics.

Like the fact that it all works with the default UI/Save State program pretty much from the word go makes me wonder if they ever considered this.
>>
>>393208419
why the fuck would they do that when they are already selling snes games for like the third rehashed system time?
>>
>>393200125
I had once since day 1

Gonna put another 30 or so SNES games I want on it soon with hackchi
>>
>>393208419
I kind of wonder why they didn't make a virtual console console instead but it looks like NOA gave up on it completely anyway. Like anyone's going to pay more than $1 for shit like Baseball anyways.
>>
>>393200125
Why are they so damn ugly in the US? Why the fuck are the buttons purple? What's wrong with the console design?

>pic related Japanese and European beauty
Got mine today and I have fun donkey kong
>>
>>393209103
It's like they reversed design philosophies at some point. Famicom was a tank while nes was a plain box.
>>
>>393208967
I wouldn't be surprised if VC never makes it to Switch. Honestly I really think they could turn these Mini Classic consoles into a long term hit, there's something magical about playing the old games with the old controllers on your couch and it's appealing to a lot of people.

>>
>>393200125
Naw, I'm good. I have a retropie with my shovelware of nes/snes games
>>
>>393200125
I called my local Gamestop, Walmart and Target, none of them had it.
>>
What can this do that my computer can't? Seems like a huge waste of money unless it plays SNES roms natively, not through emulation
