Depression in of itself is horror. That's the message.

Does it means that i'm living in a nightmare?

Hope you beat it. It's a hellva plight. Interesting that game helps with it. It never did with me.

It's relatable, but also the atmosphere and music. Listen to the OST and be immersed.
>>
>>438302919
Sometimes it can help to externalize how you're feeling and see it from a different perspective, and maybe beating the game and seeing someone else overcome something similar can help too

Dunno. I don't think most people would really get it their first time without specifically trying to, most people would probably try to keep their health full. But I suppose seeing it could help someone deal with their own feelings about life and death. Or maybe they would feel bad and replay it to get a better ending.

Well, i did get the In water ending in my first playthrought. I happy i did because it is my favorite ending. I think people need to experience this ending first in a game like Silent hill 2. It made me feel a lot more and think a lot more instead of le happy ending and it's over.

What's the problem? Did you try Xinput, or is it just that the buttons don't match? The default buttons for the PC games are really wonky for some reason, so you might just have to rebind them.

Did you check the "Enable DirectInput Output" box? There's a SH3Config.exe in the installation folder you can try using to change the buttons, but the way you bind buttons in games is also a little weird. If you press the button twice it'll just remove the bind, so you might have to keep trying until you get it right.

>>
>>438307887
That only sets the buttons up so that they'll function in the game, it doesn't change the button settings within the game itself IIRC.

Triangle = map
Circle = flashlight
Square = run, cancel
Cross = enter
L1, R1 = strafe left/right
L2 = search view
R2 = ready
Start = supplies
Select = skip
R3 = item

I think that's how it's set up on PS2

2 was more sad and depressing, although it felt more horror near the end of the game. I thought 1 was pretty depressing too when learning about all the things Alessa went through, but 1 and 3 are more what you think of when you hear horror.

If this is you, embrace it. Read about sacred clowns and how they heal people
>>
>>438313539
https://dreamflesh.com/essay/sacred-clown/
>The initiation for a Sacred Clown happens as she realizes that even people who love each other can be cruel to each other, or that Life itself can be cruel. Her own intense reaction to a personal experience of abandonment, betrayal of trust, or shattered romance may result in extreme depression, emotional imbalance, a nervous breakdown, or (in extreme cases) a suicide attempt. A Heyoka remembers her initiation thus, “I didn’t care about my life or what happened to me. I didn’t realize it, but there is big medicine in that abandon.”8 If she can somehow find her emotional equilibrium, somehow go THROUGH the pain and come out on the other side, learn to dance on the knife edge of her own Soul, the experience becomes a gateway THROUGH the illusions of life and into the truth of life.

thanks anon ;_;

it means that after certain time, suffering and grief becomes a part of one, to the point you don't care anymore, you get used to, you see black, and it's normal.
