My opinion is Dead Space is just boring, it lacks the combat scenario variety or tactical element, mostly it's thoughtless. Generally it's one of those games where i was desperate to finish it and play something else by the end

I just played through Dead Space for the first time last week. It was good but RE4 is the better game and is scarier. By the time I was halfway through Dead Space nothing really fazed me.

Dead Space is a better game. But that's very subjective because I thought Even Horizon Resident Evil was a really novel concept at the time. Down to tastes in horror really. I found Dead Space to be more scary than Resident Evil 4.
