These fuckers released two updates in March, one on the 29th that I already added in and one on the 1st that I just opened now. This is new.
The updates are really meant to go in one after the other so this means I have to try and see what of the March 1st updates apply now and which ones got removed in the March 29th update.

The entire sum total of the assault records are great. Also val used a Belkan terrorist group mentioned a few times in them, the Falcons of Dawn, in a previous RPG campaign.

So apparently a big carrier group left for the middle east a little while ago. I wonder if there will be more intense fighting now.

Schnee’s lead was the best. He just wanted to fly airliners or something, then ended up as an amazing combat pilot. Then when he got shot down, he not only survived, but nonchalantly decided to stroll out of b7r on foot.

Dunno, I just like his character’s happy stoicism.

Is anybody knowlegeable about the old EU? I'm looking for recommendations for novels. New Canon is fine too, I've already been warned about Aftermath.

Old EU? Thrawn trilogy. Probably the best stuff to come out of it.
>>
>>211858882
>imperial apologism
It never ends does it?
>SW stuff
I'm afraid I'm not too good on the EU. I love this shit but all I really watched were the shows and then just a little of the other stuff.
The Kanan comic is pretty cool but it's not very long, explains his background a little though. I heard Lost Stars getting recommended a lot of the new stuff, the new Thrawn was apparently also pretty good. As for the EU, the X-Wing books are generally recommended here.

Do we have a release date for AC7 or at least an estimate

It's fucking april 2018 god damn
>>
>>211862959
We had rumours.
Not more.
My guess is 28.09.18
Which, yes, is one week after the rumoured release date, but it’d be on my birthday so that would be absolutely awesome
>>
>>211863342
Where is that date from?
>>
>>211864270
Some online store’s it was Finnish, or Swedish I think pre-order page, that displayed 21.09.18
And the date makes sense. It’s after E3 and a month after Gamescom, so they still have time to roll the big advertisement campaigns and get orders in and release it before the end of the third quarter.
>>
>>211864548

>>

>>
>>211858882

I assume you've already read motherfuckin ROGUE SQUADRON?
If so, have you read MOTHERFUCKIN WRAITH SQUADRON?

If the answer to either of those questions is no, you need to go read the entire x-wing series.
Maybe ignore Mercy Kill for now, just becuase it's significantly further along the timeline than the others, so it might spoil you for other books in the EU if you decide to read those down the line.
Beyond that, the Thrawn trilogy and the Thrawn Duology are usually pretty good.
There's a lot of shit to read depending on what you're into.

Like, if you enjoy crime/criminals and Han and Lando?
You wanna read their assorted trilogies and series, theyre good fun.
Also, Scoundrels is basically Star Wars Ocean's Eleven.
I kinda wish the upcmoing Solo movie was just Scoundrels, honestly.
>>
>>211866012
>Solo
Who knows, it looks to be about some gig with the Kessel Run, so maybe it'll be something fun like that.
>>
>>211866201

Yeah, I'm actually pretty solidly hyped for it, honestly. The trailers look pretty fun, they seem to have got a bunch of neat stuff in there for Lando and other characters.

That said, trailers are often misleading as hell, so I guess we'll see.

Just would've been nice to see Scoundrels as a full blown Oceans Eleven insane gambit.
Same way it wouldve been nice if Rogue One had been about Rogue Squadron, but I will always bear that low-level sadness.
>>
>>211866305
It'd be cool. But beyond seeing that trailer by chance a few days ago I heard nothing about it.
Rogue One was still top notch though, but yeah they could've picked a less confusing title
>was looking for a game to play
>post reminded me about X-Wing
Thanks for that too. I was getting that nothing to play syndrome today for some reason.
/aceg/ game when?
>>
>>211867482

Oh dont get me wrong, I genuinely loved R1
Scarif space battle gets me all kinds of hot and bothered.
But man, it could've been a Rogue Squadron film.
I still hold out hope for a live action Rogue Squadron series, but i know it's a false hope.

Somentone mentioned that one of the later games had 8 player co-op.
I'd be totally on board with a co-op campaign with aceg.
Full roleplay with callsigns and autism yes? Yes.

It's normal most of the time, I think at least. I don't remember all that many, but I also never wrote any down, which supposedly helps to get a better memory for dreams. But dreaming really vividly is kind of rare anyway.
One of the earliest dreams from school that I remember is me being in class and then flying an X-Wing right after

>>
>>211871769
Basically there are a few camps with how bad it can get.
on the lower scale is the undeniable fact that all monsters eat people. But it's argued to what extent.
Some sources say that only "outsiders" (any human not born there as the setting is a land enclosed in a huge impenetrable barrier with the exception being Deus Ex Faggina) are allowed to be killed. But others say it's just a full free for all where you don't go outside at night unless you are the settings equivalent of a jedi.
And some even say that they don't eat anyone anymore but could (this is mostly fannon afaik)

This is particularly worrying since regular people can't fly and can't dodge crazy bullet patterns.
>>
>>211872168
You know, there's a lot of choice for obvious reasons. I'll need a refresher, especially concerning other starfighters, but I'll say the Interceptor for the time being.

If you mean planes, I really don't have robust enough knowledge to throw something together; In all honesty the X-29 just tickles my aesthetic sense perfectly for reasons I can't put my finger on. It's just got this plucky charm to it. Though PA's rear-swept X-29 is really cool, too. Maybe it's the combination of the F-5's smol frame and the canards? Come to think of it, my other favorites- the Gripen and F-15S/MTD- both have Canards too. That seems to be a factor.

But if you mean donut steels in general, uh... are you sure about that, buddy?

>That's what they call them now?

In the X-wing series, the rebel pilots call TIEs 'Eyeballs', Interceptors 'Squints' and bombers 'Dupes'.
Advanced are 'Brights' if I remember rightly.
>>
>>211873486
I remember "eyeballs", though I also recall bombers being "clay pigeons". It's been a while since I read the X-Wings comics (haven't read the novels yet), maybe they don't mention the "squints" nickname in them.

Northern Confederacy sounds less weird as a historic name than Federal Republic of Commies, it still sounds a bit odd - especially up against a Kingdom and succeeding an empire.
Maybe something like the Northern Entente? Or the (capitol of one of them) Entente?

Beyond that, both are pretty cool!
I assume these are the big looming background forces you work for, or do you work for something smaller and the big boys just do cold-war power plays in the background?

Little of both. My idea is that most conflicts will take place in the Disputed Zone/Lands, which is basically africa/middle east but less stable. Players will generally be directly working for one of the myriad kingdoms and countries in the DZ, but almost every country in the DZ is backed by one of the three major nations.

If there is room, mount the missile launchers center like on the Gleipnir and Agaion. Although I'd just do it in two rows next to eachother like on a submarine.
That will allow you to have much better integrated engine mounts and ducts since they don't need to have those big blocks on top of them (or at least I assume those are for the missile launchers.
With those huge gear struts you may as well take one out of the german design book and just leave the gear fixed, that would reduce weight and only marginally increase drag if at all. You could also try to integrate the rudders into them, just make the struts "lean" forward, connecting the top half to the end of the engine so that a section of them goes behind the wings while keeping the gear where it is now. Then add a rudder to that
Some form of tail or a canard assembly would probably help to. Or just some Ho 229 like back end to the wings so that it looks a bit more like a flying wing, I assume the wings are relatively basic swept back wings as is.
That is all I got off the top of my head with that picture.

We played Ace Combat 7: Skied unknown. Hit guaranteed!

Ace Combat 7 is a dark horse of the presentation of Cenega [polish game distributor]. As a person never interested in military, I was sure I'll bump out of it, especially I've never enjoyed any kind of flying in videogames. Then, well, a suprise. I spent most of my time there with this game and I had plenty of fun.

AC7 is next part of renown series of games about jetfighter pilots. Thankfully for me, game's more about dynamics of battle than simulating. It helps focusing on fun and feeling of the power of machine you're piloting than technicalities of flight. We'll get the campaign and multiplayer modes. The first will be provided in missions, and I had the pleasure to play third of them.

>>
>>211890827
It starts with brief introduction and reasons for it to happen and the mission targets. Plot concentrates over fictional military conflict and is set in alternate timeline. Our job was to engage and destroy enemy planes, which came dangerously close to our airspace. We choose our plane and weapon loadout and start. I really enjoyed the possibility of manual launching from carrier. It let me feel little more like a full-fledged pilot, even though all I did was just pushing a trigger. I rushed into combat afraid of trying to fly without any tutorial, however, there were no problem with that. I got the basics really fast and concentrated on action on the screen. And a lot was happening there.

First of all, the graphics are amazing. I can't remember when I saw sky and clouds that impressive before. It was worth just to slow down plane and examine them thoroughly. I must mention, that clouds are not just textures, but physical objects with real impact on gameplay, helping to lose an enemy. Moreover, changing atmospherical conditions will impact the movement of plane. Rain will blur the cockpit slightly, and storm will make our plane shake. Awesome.

Dynamism of game is top notch. In the beggining I had a trouble catching on with enemy planes, but after few minutes I got used to it. We had everything we'd want to have in this type of game - seeking missiles, guns, flares and lots of other toys to unlock. I could rant about the quality of explosions of enemy units, but taking the speed into account, there's no time to admire them.

I had an opportunity to play in VR, and the fun is even better. We can observe everything from first person perspective and literally immerse in this beautiful blue sky. There's no sense in writting about feeling of speed, you need to see this yourself. It was tough to switch your labyrinth for the fast-paced action of game, but after that things got really delicious. AC7 will be one of the most important games on PSVR. It's sad that developers didn't decided to port whole campaign into VR. We'll get only a handful of specially prepared missions.

Although I was full of doubt, I had a blast. I never thought that flying can give som much fun. I'll buy that game for sure, and I really suggest you to give it a chance. Well, If you're fans, I guess I don't need to recommend it to you.

And that's all, folks.

Inaccuracy can be refined. But the Belkans have been on the chopping block for too long and cost us enough embarrassment already.

>>211891943
Stonehenge would work well as a defender or a goalkeeper. I feel we could safely move Talisman up to the starting lineup, too, given his performance in City Lights. And there's no reason why we shouldn't have AC04 QAAMs near the front line whenever possible- let's see THOSE shots go wide.

Belka out, Gault on substitute status if not also axed from the team. Bring in Stonehenge as starting Goalie, or maybe try our luck with an AWACS. Fill the back pocket with either Talisman or the wide spread of Emmerian RCLs.

My general really enjoyed the back and forth excitement and I hope you guys at least had fun as well. >>211892115 said we could bother you for some sort of picture or something, but I would feel better not bothering you guys for it. It feels weird and wrong to ask for something our general couldn't offer you guys if you asked. Either way, I hope we can still have our friendly relationship when playing each other in the future.

He must've cut a deal with them. MiG-21 pilot souls in exchange for...something. If only we knew the terms of the deal.

Autistic knowledge, fool! What goals could a lich have? Eternal life, acedom and knowledge are the main motivations for a lich beyond their natural craving for power. I fear he's going to raise a derelic air force soon.

Well now, here's a friendly surprise. Congratulations on the win, /vitagen/; and we can hardly hold it against you for putting boots to the Belkans- call it a common interest, I suppose. Let's do this again sometime.

I'll have to double-check what games we have on my wife's Vita but I'm pretty sure it's just the Persona releases plus some PSP titles I downloaded. I'll see if I can whip something up but I'm stretched a bit thinner than usual lately.

Sorry for coming back this often, but this will probably be the last one for now. Once again, I have an update for my draft, this time bringing the arc to an end and hopefully tying up all the loose ends there still are.

I'd love to hear some feedback on the entirety of the thing, (if you can be bothered), how's it feel when coming to a close? Are you satisfied with it? Is there something you don't understand or want to have explained?
I'll appreciate all feedback.
Thanks!

Yo, to any buddies in the coastal Virginia area, there's an air show at Langley from the 18th-20th. Free to the public, but seats in the bleachers usually cost money so bring your own chair if you wanna sit. Also, I recommend bringing cash, they usually don't take cards, or it's a pain in the ass to use one.

I recommend getting there early. Best way to get a good spot to watch the show, and to see as much as possible.

Hi /aceg/, I'm back after asking my general for ideas about what kind of drawing to ask for. I'm not actually sure how to put out a request, but we came to this idea: >>211898640
It's basically:
>Pixy explaining how to fly plane
>Rulutieh (our Cute Anime Girls player) wearing pilot gear and being more interested in that than listening to the explanation
>Some sort of plane behind them

>>211899453 tried to direct me to someone named Dornie, but I'm sure my general would appreciate anyone's efforts. I hope the idea isn't that imposing and we have no problem waiting as long it takes if any of you are up for drawing it. You guys may not know it but "Wait for Ace" is an ancient vitagen meme.

There is a Reputation system in the game. Having a distinctive paintjob, emblem, flying only the same plane for extended durations, and success on the battlefield all work to increase your REP. Here's an example of how REP works for you:

REP Check(s):
Bailing out - 1d10 roll under vs Total REP. Resets Temp REP to 0
Neutralized Check - 1d10 vs (Attacker’s Total REP - NPC Init). Roll triggered when taking damage.
Fleeing/Surrender Check - 1d10 vs (Attacker’s Total REP - NPC Init + number of NPC wingmen lost that turn). Will only flee if able and not closely engaged.

REP Bonuses:
REP 4 - Novice Skill.
REP 8 - Experience Skill.+1 Init to all NPC allies.
REP 12 - Veteran Skill. +2 init to all NPC allies, -1 init to all NPC enemies (minimum of 1)
REP 16+ - Ace Skill. +2 init to all NPC allies, -1 init to all NPC enemies (minimum of 1). All Novice and Experienced enemies forced to take a modified Fleeing/Surrender Check (1d20 vs Attacker’s Total REP - NPC base Init) on the turn they become aware of their opponent.

Think of how people in Ace Combat react when mobius 1 is overhead.

I love it.
How bad is life for the common citizen in the Lands? Is poverty as widespread as it looks?
Also, what do the FAIS do to maintain instability and conflict? Do they supply weapons, like the other powers?
>>
>>211979964
I'll remark that the engines are closer together than on a real MiG-29, much like in the F-22, to prevent them from having their fans lined up with the intakes.
Wouldn't a smooth chines-to-LREX transition be better than an abrupt one, stealth wise?
In regards to the bump bellow the cockpit, it looks far better but afaik the bottom of the F-22 and F-35 are flat, so I kept that in.

>>211980689
>How bad is life for the common citizen in the Lands? Is poverty as widespread as it looks?
It depends on their nation. Some are torn apart by civil wars, or ruled over by cruel despots, while others have extensive welfare programs to placate their subjects. All three of these could happen to citizens of the same country within a person's lifetime.

>Also, what do the FAIS do to maintain instability and conflict? Do they supply weapons, like the other powers?
The FAIS will do whatever it takes. They are more likely to sell cutting edge weapons, rather than just give away surplus like the other nations. They are also rather free with information and funding, to both governments and rebel groups. If one of the other two factions is gaining too much ground too quickly, they'll act to counter that by propping up the losing side.
>>
>>211980657

I assume there'll be some downsides?
Flying the same plane a lot obviously could if yo fly an air superiority jet and have a bombing mission, but paintjob/emblem?
Are enemies more likely to recognise you and chase you down to try and balance that?
>>
>>211980867
I didn't mean to change the chines to LERX transition, I just drew a new line for the chines since the nose was a bit higher up
>Engines
I meant to keep them together, they just felt a bit off when looking at it in more detail.
Although looking at it now you are probably right with the engine hump lines. But I'd still move the right engine further slightly forward in the picture
>>
>>211981304
To quote the actual fluff for those rules:
"Reputation, or REP, is quite simply a measure of how well known your pilot is in the skies among other pilots. Many times, simply knowing a known and feared pilot is flying in the battle can embolden allies and cause enemies to flee. This can be a double edged blade, in some cases, as a higher REP may cause enemy commanders to dispatch highly skilled enemy aces to counter you. On the other hand, those highly skilled enemy aces often come with a hefty bounty on their own heads."
>>
>>211934153
>>211934565

Yes
>>
>>211981398

Fair enough - so sometimes you might want to fly a mission without your signature paintjob / emblem so you can go unnoticed.

The General Electric GAU-8/A Avenger a 30mm hydraulically driven seven-barrel Gatling-type autocannon that is typically mounted in the Erusean Air Force's Wonderegg Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II. Designed specifically for the anti-tank role, the Avenger delivers very powerful rounds at a high rate of fire. The GAU-8/A is also used in the Goalkeeper CIWS ship weapon system, which provides defense against short-range threats such as highly maneuverable missiles, aircraft, and fast maneuvering surface vessels.

Speaking of Osea, I think that it'd make more sense if it was actually Federal EU than a USA kind of union.
The reason's for that are if anything the Osean continent is the Old World in Strangereal, though it's more like there's not really an old or new world at all. And Osea is the largest country on the continent, taking up 2/3 if you ignore the Leasath/Aurelia peninsula.
Therefore it's unlikely in the earlier periods that it was anywhere near united given the massive swathe of land it covers.
It was united in part at least by the Osean War in the 1910's, so I predict that in 1700/1800's there was a kind of Unification of many states in Osea to form the Federation. This probably wasn't the same size as it is now, as more joined later or were invaded and annexed,
This is also why it was so easy to peacefully occupy illegally take the Great Lakes and South Belka from Belka, as they could just be slotted straight into the Union.
And because it's so big and didn't undergo the colonisation and manifest destiny of the USA irl there would be many different regions with their own cultures and languages, so even if PJ went somewhere else in Osea he could still easily feel homesick.

This may be the 2nd longest post I've ever written.

>>212050803
Makes sense. Although we also haven't seen anything suggesting that they have largely "independent" regions or whatever. But it is safe to assume that it would be divided into states and probably various cultures as a result.
That said aren't the US states fairly independent too? Or rather isn't that how it goes for almost every country that is divided into regions? I know that is how it works around here too at least.
>>
>>212050803
It sounds pretty reasonable to me.
>>212051617
In think the key word here is "federal". The EU never became a federation irl, it's a confederation. An European Federation would be closer to the pan-european ideal of a single state, which could fit Osea.
>>
>>212050803
But Osea is a federation, isn't it?
And I'd say there were about 6 separate countries before unification, hell the 6 stars on the flag with the seventh being south Belka.

Less about the independence of states and more the different cultures in them. In the US you can go from Alaska to Florida and always speak the same language and expect people to act roughly the same. Whereas in Osea/EU you would go from the top to the bottom and hear different languages and different customs, or at least different dialects. And given we never get to see any internal politics from Osea, only external stuff, then it's impossible to say how much independence states have within it.

>>212051890
My original idea was based mostly off the idea of the German Federation but way bigger, plus Belka is already the German analogue, so I feel like Osea would have more in common with the EU.

The earliest pictures we can find are from the documentary, so some anon said that they were from after the war and they had annexed South Belka already and added the star, and someone else said that's dumb they would've shown the actual flag of Osea back then if they were making a documentary about the war.

>>212052541

Yeah, it seems silly for the eastern half to have all these different countries and cultures and then an area in the west 3 times the size to only be Osean.

If the flag we see in zero was the one from before the war, the seventh star could easily be the territory Osea bought from Belka.
If the 6 stars represent different nations that unified into Osea it will be logical to add another one for belkans.
However you can see that stuff like Osean MoD emblem as well as air force and navy emblems do not have the 7th star.
>>

Ah, got it. You're right.

Odd
>>
>>212055332

Why did the wings fall off the originals, again?
>>
>>212056296
I don't think they ever really investigated it or at least that's the feeling I get from what little I heard about the accident.
But I think the popular idea is that the wings or ailerons on it flutter at high speed.
Which isn't abnormal for wings in general, but the GeeBee can probably reach its own flutter speed in normal flight.

>>212067589
Is it mission based? As in does it have a campaign and all or what? I agree it looks neat and a big vehicle variety is also great.
>>
>>212068012
There is a campaign with individual missions, and a selection of vehicles to choose from and try to beat them in different styles.
After that, there's the Freelance mode, where you make your own loadout, choose a map and earn more money to buy new stuff and so forth.
>>
>>212067675

>>
>>212068183

>>
>>212068012
Its got a campaign thats 20+ missions and a fuckton of freelance stuff where you can spend the money you get from the campaign and previously played freelance missions on characters, maps, vehicles, weapons and lore

>>212068303
Basically you choose your loadout and get dropped into the map of your choosing, do the missions in the district, move on to the next district and do the same stuff again until you finished all the districts and at the end of the mission you get your money which is based on map, the number of objectives you did in each district, your vehicle and your chosen character

More polish I hope. That gameplay video with muddy textures turned a lot of people off.
Personally I don't care I'm just glad for a stable 60FPS port on PC.

>if you avoid getting SPAMRAAM'd, your plane runs out of fuel
>>
>>212072897
That would be the second trench run after the one on that stone pillars map.

>>212073013
I wouldn't even mind. Either that or flying a half broken plane back to base like in AH would be fun for an ending "mission"
>>
>>212072364
Ok, why exactly is that thing carrying six (6!) Air-to-Ship Missiles?
>>
>>212073359

That was actually pretty neat. My main nitpick for that scene, other than being a bland conclusion to a bland plot, would be the forced interactivity. Very much "Press F to mourn" tier.
>>
>>212073541
If I were to make a thing like that I would make that a full section of the mission where you have to fly back to the airport and do the landing then on a bad or no engine at all. So mostly emergency landing stuff as a little challenge.
But on the other hand it is not too different from regular AC landings and where those spawn you so there is that

It could easily pass for that one WT arcade map that looks similar and that shit was tons of fun to play in simulator because you could bait other players to fly into the cliffs or loose them by diving over ridges and shit.
I really hope that map gets a good mission and some MP stuff. I want there to be different weather conditions available for it too.

>>
>>212074183
Give us more night missions, too. One thing I've always wanted to see was a night mission during a storm where you have to visually confirm certain elements during the periods of brief illumination from lightning bolts.

You can build map-spanning radar, but until you've actually *seen* the unit, it's just a dot.
Then, once youve spotted it, even briefly, if it flies out of LOS but stays on radar, its marker will remain exactly what it was.

As the name suggests, they are a Type 3 civilization and have mastered FTL travel and transport human ships in exchange for "cultural goods" (live music performances, plays etc.) They've become incorporeal beings in the process (hence the blue light) but they try to be polite to their hosts when they visit a concert and look like them, in order to not be distracting.

Shit's nice, the setting is fun as hell.
I really like this "depending on Kardie 3s for transport" and trading them music for transport.
It's a really cool setting detail, and I want to see more of it.

It needs some editing and proofing as does everything written ever, so dont take it as a downer.
Bit that jumped out at me particularly was this bit here
>We stole the slide rule
>HAH DONT TELL ME YOU STOLE THE SLIDE RULE
Its completely redundant and just doesnt flow *at all*, but it reads to me like you edited the conversation to change how it went and forgot to change a different bit?
Either way, it's easy to fix, as are the other little bits here and there i noticed.

Shit's good anon, you should definitely keep writing it.

Personal fav from the ost is this

I highly rec the entire OST honestly. It's pure gold.

>>212087740
It makes sense to me that such an advanced civilisation would highly value creativity (maybe even memories and other fundamentaly individual and intangible concepts), maybe even use it as currency amongst themselves.
I'm really enjoying the tidbits you drop here and there. Makes me want to dust off the space opera setting I had planned some time ago, but I've retooled a substancial amount of ideas into the ayy setting. Maybe I'll rewrite one of the stories I had for that setting, for old time's sake.

>>
>>212090029
Best result was qurterfinals in VGL6.
We got PES'd hard out of that one
>>
>>212089118
Maybe...?
I used to have a ton of settings, but I've cut them down to the Mars one, the fantasy one (iirc I've only spoken about the WW2-equivalent, but I cover periods from Antiquity to the "modern day"), the one with the Ayys and a science-fantasy one that branches out from the Mars one.
The current Mars one is the result of putting two ideas (one about psychics and another that was military-oriented) in the same setting. They started out as separate because at first the mil-sci-fi one was meant to take place on a colony.
The space opera one I called "New Space Order",it should be pretty telling of my plans for it. And that I was fresh off the Foundation novel. The Kardashev III First Empire shattered, leaving posthumanity scattered and barely held together by a portal network, the galaxy being littered with human offshoots, overblown megastructures and millenium-spanning social experiments on isolated systems left unattended. I think I still have the text for what would have been the "pilot" chapter.
There was another fantasy setting, the point of it being that there was another sentient species, a different magic system and some other worldbuilding points.
There were some more throwaway ones, like a super robot idea I toyed with, but they never went very far.
>writing
Not exactly the greatest advice, but try writing something by using passages you enjoy as reference as a "warmup" before attempting to write scenes, followed by shorts and eventually fully-fledged stories.

>Corporate Mars
Actually only a quarter of it is corporate, but the point still stands. The rest is a failing federation, a military-run state and a state of religious fanatics that rave about "muh pure humanity".
>pic related
Indeed.
The idea behind it was a "first contact" between a Second Empire spacefarer and the inhabitants of an "experimental kingdom" which were isolated from the galactic community For Science™. The experiment can be thought to be a success based on that they lasted beyond the 3 generation rule despite being confined to space and not having the technical knowledge to build or maintain their ships without the assistance of unmanned stations planted for the experiment.
>earliest
That was done in early 2016, at the tail-end of the last high-school year (I don't know the term in english, in french it's Terminal and in spanish it's Bachelor 3rd year). I think I've posted older stuff before.

There are "pure" humans, in the sense that Bezlins (it works better in french or spanish where the etymology isn't painfully obvious) are visually indistinguishable from the original humans, even though enough tweaks have piled up for them to be classified as "Homo sapiens ulterior".
There are other kinds, I'll just translate one of the Dune-style intro section to one of the texts I have lying around:
>Humanity: The whole of all individuals belonging to the Homo genus.
>Bezlin: Individual of the Homo sapiens ulterior species. Sin: "normal human"
>Quasi-human: 1) That belongs or relates to a subspecies of Homo sapiens, excluding Homo sapiens ulterior.
>> 2) Human species created via genetic engineering and that is cross-fertile with bezlins and other quasi-human species.
>Derivative: 1) That belongs or relates to a species of the Homo genus, excluding Homo sapiens subspecies.
>> 2) Human species created via genetic engineering and that isn't cross-fertile with bezlins and quasi-human species.
