What's /vip/'s favourite video game of all time?
I enjoy playing Chrono Trigger around this time of year. After that it would be a Pokémon game.

My life is a joke!

Same. Couldn't beat the last dungeon so I went the easy way and it look like 30 minutes
Chrono Trigger is a great game.

>last dungeon

What was so hard about it that prevented you from completing it? The last dungeon has a few tricky battles but once you learn the enemy's patterns, it's fairly easy.
Too much HP I think. I went in very under leveled. They hit too hard and I didn't hit hard enough.
It's the meme answer, but unironically Dark Souls.

Ah yes, that could be a real problem. Make sure to talk to that dude at the End of Time and complete all the side quests before attempting the last dungeon. They're not necessary, but they make the last few boss battles considerably easier. They'll help you level up and get you a fair amount of OP weapons and gear.

Super Mario 64. I have everything in that game memorized.
I did complete everything, I just couldn't get past the first few regular enemies. Lavos was surprisingly easy so I just went to the Apocalypse or something like that. Took a while, but Chrono/Marle/Frog had good HP sustain so it was easy. I was on my toes the entire time though.
The game is too long for me to replay it, despite it being fun. Maybe in a few years.
Crusader Kings II is GOAT.

On the DS when I had one, I couldn't for the life of me beat the twins during the end of the ice age, floating magic palace.

I don't remember where I got to on SNES version.

Been playing it since 2004. Heavily modded now of course. Oblivion and Skyrim are garbage compared to it.
Castelvania: Symphony of the Night. Every Castlevania before it was memorizing patterns and everything after it either copied it to success or intentionally tried to go against its design and failed completely. Although I've heard good things about the pachinko version. :^)
Hard to say exactly
Probably a toss up between Star Wars Battlefront II, Halo 3, and Age of Mythology.

Honourable mention to Runescape.
Oh wow, that's really bizarre. I can't imagine completing every quest and still struggling to defeat the mobs in the Black Omen. Congrats on finishing it nonetheless though.
