Does this debunk the idea that bird Pokemon are measured by wingspan?

Bird Pokemon are never measured from wingtip to wingtip. They're measured from head to foot.
>>
>>34394492
>>34394501
The ORAS Pokedex was inconsistent. Some, like Noctowl, were measured in wingspan. Meanwhile Aerodactyl was head to toes.

That's a big freedom bird
>>
>>34394492
Could it be a really old pokemon and that’s why it’s so big? We’ll never know.
>>
>>34394492
The anime has, and never will, followed Pokedex entries for height

or weight

You're bound to get pokemon that are bigger than usual. The same way there are humans that are taller, shorter, lighter, and heavier than average.
>>
>>34394492
The pokedex is really flawed. Why do you think people argue over its entries? Why do you think some footprints from Hoenn/Sinnoh dexes don't match the ones from the gen 6 models? Everything about it should be taken with a grain of salt.
>>
I always assumed the Pokedex was just an average height and weight. All animals, including humans, vary in size. So why not pokemon?
>>
>>34398140
This plus we have giant pokemon you n the anime and totems in the games. Fishermen in previous titles measured the size of your fish
>>
There should be more giant Pokemon
>>
>>34398140
They're averages outside of UBs, which can grow colossal. But as ORAS showed birds and bats are measured by standing height rather than wingspan

not big enough

It's always been a headcanon.

Also, no, anime will never disprove anything besides my faith in humanity.
>>
>>34394492
It was already disproven in HGSS Pokedex. Just select Noctowl or Xatu there.
>>
>>34394492
I will always, ALWAYS prefer the anime in terms of height and weight.

If they seriously want me to believe that Groudon is only fucking 11 feet tall they can fuck off. I refuse to believe the creator of land is barely taller than a one story building.
>>
>>34398816
Why would Groudon be tall? The ground isn't tall, it's wide. He isn't King of Mountains
>>
>>34398656
UBs are presumably an average of the ones in Alola, since the only colossally huge UB we ever see is mountain-Xurkitree whereas all the UBs that invade are roughly Pokémon sized, presumably because bigger ones couldn't fit through the Ultra Wormhole
>>
>>34398108
Why is the Pokédex so shitty and abstract? It should be like serebii in-game.
>>
>>34398868
The Celesteela we capture is a dwarf too, judging by the background one and the size of the developing ones
>>
>>34398940
Exactly. Presumably to them a bunch of Ultra-Wormholes opened seemingly for no reason and any UBs nearby or small enough were sucked in. The URS backs this up when saying Stakataka/Blacephalon aren't intentionally invading, they're just lashing out because they have no idea where they are.
>>
>>34398849
Yes, but groudon isn't particularly wide either.
>>
>>34398974
Do you want a 60ft tall 200ft wide stunfisk? They're Pocket Monsters
>>
>>34398970
>Clover from Cloverfield confirmed UB.
I wanna catch it please.
>>
>>34398998
No, I just want something befitting the title, which thankfully, every anime rendition, ashnime, generations or otherwise, has provided.
>>
>>34399011
I guess I get why you would like a huge Groudon, but I don't see how it being nearly twice your height is unbefitting. It's feats are why it's named that. An animal twice your height is pretty intimidating, especially in a world where Dragons, Giraffes and Elephants are smaller than you.
>>
I want this
