Alternatively, grab the Focus Sash fro the dancer lady next to that beginning town in Poni Poni and tank a hit, use toxic, then spam protect/revives until Necrozma dies. This isn't rocket science.

Have up to 3 PlatinumNumemons on your team for their stackable exp boosting ability, and equip the all the Tactitian USB's you have on all of them. put all your mons in reserve for the exp share (hopefully youve degenerated/evolved enough by then to reach the lv99 cap), go to the roof of the Tokyo metro building for the strongest grinds and a 1% PNumemon encounter for massive exp. it'll be a bit of a grind to get one Pnumemon, but it gets easier when you start getting the other 2
>>
>>34679460
That's not the only way you retard, it's just the easiest way. If Necrozma one-shots all of your mons then you're either forced to grind or use some strategy involving Focus Sash to chisel it down.
>>

The stats boost is the big problem.

A bulky Vaporeon with Haze can make it a much fairer fight. Around level 60, with a neutral nature, it should be able to survive long enough to get off the haze and even deal some damage.

Alola Muk can also do a huge amount of work. Toxic to put the fight on a timer, Acid Armor up and let leftovers or Black Sludge heal as much as possible.

You can also throw out Special Defense tanks like Ampharos as long as they take neutral hits, and throw up Light Screen. Ampharos is also really nice since Signal Beam is SE and Thunder Wave can paralyze it to give you the speed advantage again.

Essentially, the fight comes down to this: Necrozma gets a raw stat advantage. It hits hard and fast, while simultaneously taking less damage from your moves. Brute forcing it isn't going to work, and you probably won't be able to set up for an offensive sweep. Instead, you'll have to weaken it with debuffs or status effects.

Necrozma knows:
Photon Geyser
Smart Strike
Power Gem
Dragon Pulse

Anything that isn't hit super effective by those moves and has around 100 Special Defense and non terrible Def. should be able to tank at least one hit.

Abuse refresh so you Pokemon love you can will dodge attacks or get a free endure cause they "tough it out". I've never used Amie/Refresh before and was just abusing beans for free rare candies from the Pokemon centre and holy shit it fucking breaks the game. I was doing a no exp share run, didn't even have Solalego or Necrozuma on my team at the league and won every match first try, compared to in Sun where I used Exp Share and Solalego and had difficulties
>>
>>34679414

What is the point of that? You really need to lie about a Pokémon game to make yourself feel superior to someone else?
>>
>>34679414
Get a steel type or something else that can take a hit, and use toxic.
>>
>>34679414

I got shit on with my lowly team of four over and over from every trial after the electric one. My team is super shitty versus Dragons and Fighting, and the last trial? DRAGON FIGHTING. First time I struggled through a pokemon game since the 90's.
>>
>>34679414
I had a zoroark with foul play. I think that the Dark-Z move would have one shotted it. It didn't gave me much trouble
>>
>>34679414
I used Bisharp and X-items to take it on. It's immune to its Photon Geyser and resists everything else it uses, plus it can hit hard back with its Dark attacks.

Spam first impression with golisopod and use the others as revive bait
>>
>>34679414
pokemon refresh thing isn't working? feed all your pokemon and let all of them with full hearts. probably they'll scape few times and that's the time to toxic it. You can also sucker punch it. Dark Z-move it. Low it's accuracy. Keep full reviving your pokes. What's your team? My team was under 60 and I had literally zero problems with it.
Kommo-o, Lurantis, Bruxish, Incineroar, Vikavolt and A-Ninetales
>>
>>34681607
I forgot to say, probably you can not stop it from 1HKOing you with Photon Geyser, but you need to have an strategy when it's not using it. Photon Geyser is Psy-type, so, Dark has no problems with it. Try to see the type of others moves, some pokemon are able to resist depending on the attack.
>>
>>34679414
kamikaze it with sucker punches and first impression.
>>
>>34679414
i beat it first try with a rotom boosted metagross i happened to have on my team
>>
>>34679414
Here's how I won.

>Got a level 56 Pyukumuku off Wonder Trade
>it has Toxic, Recover, Soak, and Memento
>Fight
>Toxic
>It outspeeds, Pyuku lives on 1HP
>Toxic
>Use Full Restore, back to full HP (140ish, can't remember)
>It hits again, Critical Hit
>Pyuku dies
>Innards Out
>More than 50% HP gone
>Toxic kills two turns later

I felt like a shitter having to cheese it like that, but it worked.

Fish for a Quick Claw Toxic.

>>

>>
>>34679650
I ruined it with Slowbro so I can't say it was an issue.

Really if you have to resort to sashes, grinding above the mid 60s, or use refresh you've messed up somewhere.

The last pokemon game I played before USM was HGSS. When did that change? How can I use it to my advantage?
>>
>>34679414
>use toxic
>wait
>>
>>34687769
It changed after X & Y, which had a normal XP system in addition to an uber-Exp Share.

The new system CAN work in your favor however. While you only have a team of four Pokemon now. the XP system rewards you with more XP if you have underleveled Pokemon participate in battle, so you can add two Pokemon that you like to your team and level them up relatively quickly. Like I said, you maximize your benefit with Sun and Moon's XP system only if you have a full team of six Pokemon.

Are you using the Exp Share item? It's frowned upon generally in these parts, but if you have it on, even in Sun and Moon, you effectively increase your XP yield by 250% if you have a full team of six. It's something to consider if you think you are severely ill-prepared to take on Ultra Necrozma.

Heres how i did it in my nuzlocke without losing a single mon. My team consisted of:
>incineroar
>lycarrot
>a-sandslash
>wishiwashi
>mudsdale
>garchomp
All were level 60. I led with wishiwashi and clicked tearful look turn 1. It went for photon geyser which did about 90% and then i kept switching out between a-sandslash and wishiwashi until it was at -3 and then i z-dragon rushed ut with chomp once it was able to take a dragon pulse. Kinda crazy

If have a Sturdy Mon, attack it once, let it almost-OHKO you, then switch into a fodder team member (boxing some of the actual team members) and spam potions. Switch in, attack, fodder, restore, repeat.

Zoroark leaves necrozma gobsmacked and it'll try to photon geyser you depending on what you're disguised as.

Toxic, Screens, and Veil are all good strats too.
