Welcome to the Comfy Thread. Consider this a relaxing place to share and enjoy comfy art, music, stories, and more from all of the pokemon games and the pokemon world.
>>35346156https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6PbnT0x0e5I&t=Let's get a nice thread theme going.
>>35346165Perfect choice anon, it's Sunday morning here for me and I'm having a lovely morning in bed whilst training and trading some of my pokemon in soulsilver and platinum. This is a great song to have playing in the background.
I *still* have to come up with my pokemon team for adventuring around. Gonna get to that a bit later in the day. Also I'm gonna try doing some comfy pokemon art this afternoon as well. If you're here just lurking, feel free to tell me what you're up to - especially if you're playing a pokemon game, I love to know how ppl's adventures are going.
It's quite amazing how talented some artists are. I just spent 10 minutes on pixiv for the first time and wow, some incredible work there..
Love this typhlosion
>>35346349i like it too anon
>>35346447>master1200If you get a pixiv account, you can get the full resolution
>>35346480i'm a pixiv noob, i do have an account but i was in a bit of a rush and i saved the wrong one, thank you anon
>>35346480p.s. what are some other websites with lots of pokemon art to search and look at, anon?
>>35346549Anywhere that artists post, you'll find pokemon stuff. Pixiv's the easiest to browse and tumblr, twitter, and deviantart are good bets otherwise. Try the pkmnart tag and pokemon centric blogs on tumblr. Tags and groups on deviantart. Twitter's good for following people you've found on other sites.
>>35346673Boorus are a good way to round out your results too.
>>35346673woops, meant to link your post in the previous one.
Man, comfy threads and all those images of locales with pokemon make me wish that I could experience that shit firsthand, not even just being a trainer but just being able to see how beautiful that shit could be and explore it all. Always pictured it something as pic related would describe it.Anywho, odd question for you anons. After beating the game and obviously experiencing whatever post-game content there is, do you ever save at any place specific or just wherever you were doing something important last? I found that in older games, it's always been at whatever Pokemon League or Battle Tower but I've also defaulted to some pokemon center in some comfy town as of late.
>>35347917I hear you and feel the same way, anon. In fact I'm kinda wishing there was more artwork, especially official artwork, depicting the locales and interesting nooks and crannies of the pokemon world. As for me and where I save - often I will save in a comfy part of an area, somewhere cozy and relaxing. Otherwise I'll save in a pokemon center as if I'm spending the night there.
I have an entire art folder dedicated to saving comfy pictures and I've probably posted pic related already but I don't care coz I love it. I love pictures that depict family and togetherness. I was crazy for these comfy pictures at one point (still am; but not that much), I'd look up pokemon remixes on YouTube because they have very good thumbnails sometimes, Pixiv, Zerochan, gelbooru, tumblr, obscure Japanese and Chinese blogs and what not...I'm quite proud of them. Gen4 & 5 are maximum comfy honestly. Oh yeah and my file names are terrible.
I love art depicting towns, cities and the other locations in Pokemon. This one is very rare, and I don't know if this counts as comfy, but i personally find it calm and soothing.
Ok I never contribute to comfy threads but I've had an interesting day and I'd hate to see this one not get all the love it deserves. I'll post all the ones I don't use as wallpapers cause that folder is smaller.
I'll even include another comfy song.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBlX2LOffn0
>>35349022Also one more song if you're in the mood for something comfy and groovy.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zhcA0RkVE-4
>>35349032This one is inspiring.
>>35349049This one's not animated but Dragonite is one of my favorite and I enjoy the way that the hand drawn image changes the pace.
i was havin a nap, thank you so much anons, i love the comfy poke arts
>>35349052Sorry I forgot to mention that's it for me but I'll check in tomorrow.
Feeling a mix of weird and good today, don't know if this makes sense. Don't worry, won't blog about it, guys. This song always make me feel alright because it reminds me of when my first pokémon adventure started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZ5HREsFcUg>>35346673I like using zerochan to find pokémon art. There they usually post the art from the artist from all their sites (pivix, deviantART, tumblr, drawr, etc)>>35347917>After beating the game and obviously experiencing whatever post-game content there is, do you ever save at any place specific or just wherever you were doing something important last?Hmmm... Not really. Nowadays the only pokémon game I play is a pretty good emerald hack and I always save in my secret base.
>>35349166>tfw no poke adventure
>>35349172iktf....also those arts are amazing anon, tysm for posting themhope ur havin a comfy day/night too
>>35348379The last comfy thread I was in actually made me bring up that pic to him and telling him how comfy it would be to just lay there on the grass in a secluded area. Unova had a lot good routs and areas.
>>35349307Those kinds of peaceful secluded areas are special indeed
Tfw snug in bed
>>35347917I used to do that a lot with Oldale Town.
Wouldn't it be nice to go camping with pokemonsHave neat adventures togetherIirc this is my silverId love to camp there
>>35346156Holy fuck this is amazing. Is it Canalave city?
>>35349733I thought it was Snowpoint.
I want to live in Azalea Town.
I will keep this thread alive if it kills me.
>>35352983thanks anonbut you don't have to damage your health over it
>>35350968Me too.If only to uncomfortably hit on bugsy every time we meet.
>>35347917Agreed anon, agreed. >>35348135>especially official artworkSeriously! It's for that reason that I really like even just this random official art of the Rotom appliances. It's just a cozy little look at the Pokemon world that's "canon". Trading card art is great for that too
What are your personal favorite comfy locations in each region? Kanto: I've actually not reached the Kanto region in any games but I will soonJohto: Ecruteak and Olivine Hoenn: Fortree, Lavaridge, LilycoveSinnoh: Floaroma, Canalave, Celestic, HearthomeUnova: Mistralton, Anville, and the Village BridgeKalos: Laverre, Dendemille, and Snowbelle Alola: I literally cannot remember any of the towns in Alola. Man, that region was a disappointment IMOSing it, NPC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsD-OUWNUlU
>>35354131I'm just joshing, no worries.
>>35355249In Kalos Couriway Town is the comfiest place to me easily. The waterfalls are very nice. One of my favorite moments in the game and my favorite moment in X and Y happened there. Professor Sycamore shows up and tells you that he left a present there for you years ago while he was on his own journey. I scoured the place looking for a rare item but only found, like 1 potion. After searching for way too long I look it up online and someone on a Gamefaq forum says they're not sure but they think it's the carving hidden on a pillar. So I walk up to the pillar and there's a message from Prof Sycamore from his past self to his future self. It asks a couple deep questions like where does he see himself 5 years in the future? Where did his self from 5 years in the past see him today? Stuff like that. It made me put down my 3ds for a while and actually answer the questions myself. It added depth to both Prof Sycamore and X and Y as a whole.I always tell myself I'll eventually make a thread here asking how many other people found it and if they enjoyed it as much as I did... but I never seem to get around to it.That very personal touch to the game made the whole town comfy to me.
>>35356565Damn, nice one anon. Couriway was an honorable mention for me in Kalos I'd say. I really wish we'd gotten more of Kalos. I didn't mind XY, they just didn't get the traction they deserved. Those questions would definitely fuck me up though...
>>35356589Did you actually find them in X and Y? They were super well hidden. You had to put your character behind a pillar so that you couldn't see them and then face the pillar and click A.
>>35356602I did not. Thinking of doing another playthrough of my X, so I'll pay it a visit. Right now I'm restarting HG, one of the comfiest games in the series IMO
>>35346156Anyone have comfy porygon2 pics? He’s a cute little bird.
>>35349049Really like this one, nice transitions between the environments.
>>35355249Kanto: Pallet and Cerulean Johto: Ecruteak and Mahogany Hoenn: Fortree and LilycoveSinnoh: Canalave and SnowpointUnova: Anville, Village Bridge, Humilau and Opelucid (BW1)Kalos: Dendemille, Laverre, and SnowbelleAlola: Paniola Town, Tapu Village, and Seafolk VillageThis was easier than I thought actually
Hopefully this thread doesn't die while I sleep.Anyways, this song always puts me in a weird mood. It makes me nostalgic and happy of course, but it also makes me a bit sad, maybe because it reminds me of days where I didn't have a care in the world and I was young enough to just play games all day. I probably just envy the youthfulness and the ignorance, I suppose, that comes with being young. This song will always have a special place in my heart. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4MNAktk9ei8
>>35357262i know those feels, anonand as for the thread, i'll be posting in it intermittently over my evening before i sleep
Quick question. These bottle caps, does this mean that I don't have to worry about IVs in games anymore? I can just start fresh in Emerald, get Pokemon with the natures I want, and fix all my mistakes in gen 7?
>>35357442Essentially yes, that should work. You can maximize a Pokemons IV with those.
>>35357456Man, that's really comfy, knowing I can casually play through all the games now and only sr a few times to get a decent nature on my starters. Thanks Anon. Time to grab a Mudkip and head out into Hoenn.
>>35357488Have fun on your adventure!
i've run out of comfy pokemon pictures on this laptop. i may be able to post some from my phone later on tonight. as for now i'm trying to catch an adamant dodrio before the sun goes down (using an adamant synch abra), then later I'm training up my walrein, wailord, and hippopotas + maybe doing a bit of comfy pokemon drawing. >>35357488let us know how your adventure goes, anon>>35357518you're a nice anon
hope ur all havin a comfy day/night, anons
>>35359292that's beautiful and super cute, anon
>>35359391all i got for today have a great day anons remember it'll all get better
>>35359397they are fantastic, ty anon, wonderful to look at before a comfy sleep, hav a lovely day too c:
>>35355249Kanto: I actually couldn't tell you. I never played RBY/FRLG, and only visited Kanto through Heart Gold, so it never really stuck with me.Johto: Not sure if this counts, but probably Route 47. There's nothing particularly interesting there, but just the cliffside walk is nice, and the music is probably my favorite route theme in all of Pokemon.Hoenn: Fortree City, and/or Route 120. I can't really explain it.Sinnoh: Not sure. Celestic Town is awfully nice, though.Unova: Tie between Lentimas Town, Village Bridge, and Icirrus Town. Lentimas just feels like watching the sunset, Village Bridge is obvious, and I mostly love Icirrus for the theme.Kalos: Geosenge Town is historically comfy, I like the "seaside cliff" aspect of Coumarine City, and Laverre City and Route 14 are just nice for the spooky-comfy feeling.Alola: Mount Hokulani and the Hokulani Observatory are fun, especially at night - I'm a sucker for mountains and stars. Tapu Village is exceedingly comfy for similar reasons.
>>35359397Life's already great, it's gonna get even better? Awesome
>>35346156This image is so beautiful I love it
So, I haven't seen it asked in this thread yet. What team would you have if you lived in the Pokemon world?
i need more comfy
>>35363120i gotta finish my ultra sun run. got distracted by shit
>>35357262Similar feels anon. Now as an adult I don't miss it in a different way, I just want to live in one of the villages with my Pokemon living out a peaceful life. >>35350968I want to live at the same spot as Mr Briney. >>35349172>>35347917I want nothing more then a pokemon adventure. >>35346260I'm playing through heart gold again just sitting at Cianwood town. I don't know if other people do this but I always like to spend a bit of times in towns listening to the music and making up conversations with the people I might meet in the town. >>35346156I'll drop a couple comfy pics.
I love art of the girl trainers hanging out with evil team grunts
>>35363341okay i got to get going, have a comfy night anons
I've always loved the credit scenes of the Pokemon movies. They show the quiet times of the gang's adventure, things that weren't shown. Makes them feel like tangible characters and gives me a happy feeling.
>>35363870Agreed. I love the movie locations too, lots of comfy settingshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taZSJoJMGQELaRousse is a favorite of mine
>>35363883Definitely, I love LaRousse as well. The battle at the beginning of the first movie and this one are really nice, too. https://youtu.be/nYPzfJhEoQ0Also another comfy screencap.
>>35363954O man, 3's opening is one of my absolute favorites. 4Ever's too. Know what else was cute and comfy af? The Pichu Bros. I miss them.
>>35363972Oh yeah, 4ever's is great. Ash's spontaneity is a nice thing to see. The Pichu bros were cute too, I loved that short.

>>35363330one of my favourite arts of all time>>35362464i'm still trying to decide on this, i call it my adventure team. i know for sure it would have linoone. it's tough to decide the rest though... I'm gonna look through the entire pokedex shortly, take a tally of which pokemons I want, then decide on my team, I'll have an answer tonight. >>35363041me too anon, me too>>35363285nice choice anon, that's a comfy spotalso i do the same things on my pokemon adventures in gameyou sound like a fun and comfy person to paly pokemon with >>35363345thank you! >>35363870i also really enjoy this kinda thing. I hadn't seen many of the films of the last decade and I watched a few last year and was pleasantly surprised at the slice of life stuff. also I really enjoy the credit scenes from hgss and platinum.
Alright this was really difficult to do... but I have my pokemon life adventure team decided on. this was the long list I came up with after looking through the pokedex: linoone, blastoise, raichu, sandslash, nidoking, nintetales, farfetch'd, dodrio, flareon, crobat, xatu, bellossom, jumpluff, espeon, dunsparce, magcargo, piloswine, pupitar, sceptile, lotad, shiftry, breloom, nosepass, lairon, torkoal, altaria, drifblim, lunatone, crawdaunt, solrock, claydol, torterra, roserade, bonsly, whimsicott, crustle, sigilyph, cincinno, escavalier, fraxure, chesnaught, gogoat, furfrou, bastiodon, accelgor, mienshao, comfey, komala, minior, >>35365419>>35365415>>35365404>>35365400>>35365395>>35365390>>35365384>>35365380beautiful comf
>>35362464In truth I’d love to adventure with any pokemon. Some of my favorite though would be Golduck, Gyarados, Charizard, Heracross, Excadrill, and Nidoking.
>>35365400>>35365404I absolutely love this artist's style, it's so homely and adorable
>>35365616me tooi love that kind of simple pen/line work with the easy-on-the-eyes colouring, so nicealso anon did you say which mons you'd have in your life/adventure team?

>>35365896meant for >>35355249
>>35365799Shut up. This is a comfy thread. You have the rest of 4chan to be an asshole on, keep it out of here.
>>35365986>people joining in and pointing out what they find comfy>waaah shut up asshole popyhead, you disagree with me and like what I don't like, so it doesn't countThis place is 18+, and even if you weren't underaged, acting like a literal autistic turd because people like what you don't like is embarassing
>>35366009I think it's the hypocritical OP. It came out he only namefags to create hugboxes to himself (mostly samefags), but other than that he'll take his namefag and genwar the shit out of the board. Basically, OP is the reason /vp/ is bad, he's triggered because he may have thought that post unmasked him
>>35365634No I did not, I've just been enjoying other's comfy contributions and posting what few comfy pics I have. I'd probably just have an eevee. It's not very original but I'm a huge sucker for cute things. Maybe a pigeot or talonflame too, or a jangmo-o.I'd probably want to live in Floccesy town, or somewhere remote out in a forest or in the mountains. I enjoy peace and quiet.
tfw ignoring dramai love this artwork, it's top comf tfw adventuring around to catch a pokemon that can learn worry seed, hypnosis or a sleep inducing move, and thief (in gen 4)
>>35366069ah that art is super nice, i love doduo and eevee. and that sounds like a neat team anon. i'd love to have a place out in the mountains, in a beautiful peaceful nook, with a valley below and such. cozy comfy winters and brisk, fresh summers.
>>35366082Same. That kind of artwork reminds me of some books from my childhood but I cannot for the love of God remember the names of those books. I quickly thought of some pokes I'd like in a team but in reality I'd probably just stick with whatever I'd come across, the eevee is the only one I'd absolutely want. I wish my country had mountains, hiking through the alps are some of the best vacations I've had. Doing so with your pokemon bros would be maximum comfy. Mountains just have something magnificent about them.
>>35357180woah that's cute
Anyone ever had the feeling like you wanted to focus more on Pokemon in your life? Shut-in delusions and all, but I bet it'd be pretty comfy to live a relatively simple life and just play/watch/do Pokemon-related things when you got home from work. Imagine living alone and just having a comfy run in Plat or B/W to look forward to with some good food when you got back from a day job, no other worries.
>>35366014...wait, shit, what? I'm not usually on /vp/, I didn't know what was going on with OP being that guy. I thought it was just some cockgargler deciding to shit up a comfy thread for inscrutable autist reasons. Which isn't impossible, given where we are. If OP's actually that guy, then never mind.
>>35366325What you describe sounds kinda like my life, though pokemon isn't nearly the only thing I do in life. I have a full time job and my own appartement where I live alone, the place is littered with pokemon related stuff, and my collection just keeps growing. I come home from work, exercise, eat food and usually spend the rest of my free time on pokemon, reorganising my stuff, playing games, looking through artwork and when I'm tired, watching the show. It's a comfy life but I think it'd get lonely if pokemon were the only thing in it.
>>35366815That's kinda what I meant, do all the work stuff then just chill with it. I don't think it'd be great to do indefinitely, but would be fun for a couple months or so.
>>35366825I've been at it for years, but as I said pokemon isn't the only thing I do, so I don't get bored with it fast.
>>35362464Simply a Snivy and a Swellow, they've always been my favorite partners.
I’ve only been coming to /vp/ for a couple weeks and these comfy threads are my favorite thing.
>>35367331Comfy threads are some of the best regular threads on this board
>>35367426Absolutely, probably the nicest place too
>>35368419what is he fishing for?what's the point of fishing if all the fish are pokemon?
You can eat Pokemon, you know. It's not like there's any laws against it. Personally, I'd love to have some fried Croconaw with a good dipping sauce.
>>35357025at least it was before i fucked everything up
>>35367331the only reason i check /vp/ anymore honestly, ive only had good conversations with anons here. seems like everyone here just enjoys pokemon to the fullest extent
>>35366325I dont think about pokemon everyday, and i think special moments when i find some good artwork or check /vp/ and see a comfy thread are what make my really happy because it will remind me about the wonderful world that is pokemon and spark my interest for a bit, never letting it die out completely but I can still focus on things outside it.

By far one of my favourite towns in Pokemon. Just imagine laying on the flower fields with your eyes closed and the sweet aroma of the flowers and berries mixed with honey wafting through the air and the sun shining warmly at your skin. Soft chirping as well perhaps and just a overall pleasant aura. Sinnoh was so comfy, man.
>thread not deadfeels good man
>>35370618>>35370592Forcing yourself to like something rarely ends well. Better to take a break and avoid complete burnout. At the end of the day, you'll either come back to it or find something new to enjoy.
>>35370760>>35370879Much appreciated, thanks
i got my weepinbell who is now a victreebel in plat, taught it thief, it already knew gastro acid, and transferred it to my soul silver cart. I've done this so I can use thief to get the leftovers and black sludge from Koga's pokemon (in the elite four rematch battles). This is a neat thing I found out about just a few weeks back.
>>35372869That's pretty cool
>>35371013Sinnoh was a really nice and comfy region, but ultimately my favorite was Unova. I got White and W2, so I got to enjoy the juxtaposition of the big cities like Nimbasa and Castelia, but also the naturalistic atmosphere. Although IMO the most comfy place in any region is probably Route 47 in HGSS, if only for that theme. https://youtu.be/jc5YFrh8mVMActually, question for the thread: what region was your favorite? NOT necessarily your favorite gen (we will have no genwars in a comfy thread), but what region did you love visiting the most, in remake or original?
>>35370618Usually I play Pokemon nonstop for a while and come back and start a new game and it happens all over again. If you haven't try different methods of playing like Nuzlocke or other challenges. It keeps the game fresh and you may end up making new Pokemon friends along the way.
>>35373365Favorite region for me has to be either Johto or Kalos. Johto is very comfy and has a lot of good memories for me, and many people didn't like it but I loved Kalos's many different environments.
glad to see the thread still alive! ive got a few more pics to dump
>>35377278stay comfy anons :)
>>35348308oh my god, yes. thank you.
>>35366848fuck, I can't wait to go back to sinnoh. its just such a comfy region, reminds me of my hometown in Minnesota. On a cold winter day, me and my brother would pull out our copies of Platinum, sit on the bottom of the stairs, go through our adventures together, and trading. Thank you.
any anons lurking right now?
>>35381254YesI usually lurk these threads and others on /vp/ but only post when I feel I've actually got someting to contribute

>>35381510it's half past mjidnight here, i'm in bed playing some soul-silver, training some pokemon and stuff like that. it was pretty hot today where i live, had a pretty good day tho and tomorrow should be decent too, tonight has been nice and cool tho which i love, and how good are cold showers as well, so refreshing! I also love ice cold water, I always have bottles of it in the fridge coz I drink heaps. Stay hydrated friendo in the hot weather.
>>35381585>half past midnightHello fellow aussieIt's about 12:00am here for me
>>35381604hello to you as well fellow ausanon :D how has ur evening been?are you playing any pokemon vidya at the moment?
>>35381585That does sound comfy as fuck. I'm playing through pokemon silver again, but only play 10-20 minutes before sleep each night so the run will take a while. Gen 2 is the comfiest generation for me, maybe it's the music, maybe it's just nostalgia, who knows. Have fun with that masterpiece of a game! And yes hydration is of utmost importance! No coffee on hot days, only lots and lots of water. My glorious nordic body wasn't made for this. I thrive in -10. Got an evening shift and a couple nightshifts ahead of me, they're a lot more bearable. Also comfy. I like nightshifts.
>>35381655nightshifts, pokemon silver, and cold weather all sound so good :D
>>35381634Kinda bad honestly, but tomorrow is a new day so I'm feeling fine now. I've been playing Explorers of Sky for the first time (though I played Time years ago) and I'm having lots of fun. The Special Episodes and the postgame stuff are really great especially, I never realized how fun it was. The more new dungeons and rare items I discover the more I want to play
>>35381678Great taste! Explorers of sky is one of my all time favourite games aswell. I recommend super mystery dungeon too if you like the genre, the story isn't as compelling as explorers of sky, but it makes up for it in terms of gameplay. Recently finished all post game stuff, collected all treasures and cleared all dungeons except one. (fuck sacred ruins) It appears we have also hit the image limit! Thanks for thread guys, it was a fun one. Until next time!
>>35381604This is actually my current background, what a coincidence
>>35381751>>35381678>>35381678i hope tomorrow is better for ya, anonand i havent tried those spni-off games but i have seen some footages around and they seem neato and wow we have already hit the image cap, felt like it's only been a few days. thanks for a great thread everyone it's been a lovely time
>>35381751Super is something that I've been meaning to play! I heard that the postgame content there is just as great. I have been on a PMD kick lately too so I might see if I still have it and make a new file.>>35381760It's a pretty image that's for certain. I always wanted to experience snow but from where I am it doesn't snow and I never been overseas. Maybe one day tho>>35381821Thanks for that! And the PMD series is pretty good, if not a bit hard sometimes. After my PMD I might resume my replay of Platinum.I'm still in the mood for more comfy images myself, but the image limit has been hit already, kek
>>35381821See you next time anon! I'm gathering the comfiest pictures I can find for the next thread, whenever that happens. I really love these threads, you know.
I’ve been playing Platinum for the first time lately, and I have no idea why my younger self disliked Diamond so much. Sinnoh is super comfy.
