IMO the best system for anyone who wasn't a kid when it was out.

I was nine years old when it came out and it's my favorite console of all time. Dunno what that's supposed to mean.

That's cool, it seems like most of the younger folks dig the n64 more. I think my favorite PS1 games are Gran Turismo 2 and Brave Fencer Musashi. You?

Is the PSIO still the best flash based rom loader for the PS1?
>>
>>4447160
I loved the PSX
>>
>>4447180
Tomb Raider, FFVII/VIII, Tobal, Bushido Blade, Parasite Eve, Aquanauts Holiday, Carnage Heart, Tekken 3, Nightmare Creatures, Front Mission 2/3, Run About, Cool Boarders, Tenchu, Saga Frontier, Xenogears and a million more I'm forgetting.
>>
Too finicky, long loading times prevent it from being on my top 5 favorite consoles, but it's alright.
What's up with Strauss? 2001 reference? Why?
>>
>>4447172
>had both a n64 and ps1 when they were released
>liked them both about equally

I prefer the saturn. The arcade nature of most of the sega's first party games gives them tons of replayability, and the fact that most of it's exclusives weren't ported away helps. also, pic related which is one of my favorite games

Doesn’t happen on real hardware, saturn warping is fundimentally different from psx warping you dumb nostalgiababy

>your opinion is wrong
>t.autist
;)
The Saturn is a nice system but I came to know it when I had already played better ports of most of its games.
>>
>>4447570
jesus shut the fuck up, both of you.
>>
>>4447462
>Sonygros
I prefer the 64 too but you’re literally /v/, get the fuck outta here.
>>
>>4447570
Who said anything about Saturn retard? If you don't want me attacking your shit opinion, then don't begin your thread by acting like an elitist faggot who believes anyone that didn't own a PS1 was a "child". Now create counter arguments for what I stated or I will simply assume you admit being a faggot with a terrible opinion.

sry, anon.

Anyone ever own a PS One and LCD? I had one and it was awesome. I regret selling it and would get it if I were not already looking into a PSIO

thanks for the bruised ribs, friendo.
BTW I think you really do have autism.
I was clearly jesting and replied humbly to your off topic post.
>>4447248
I'm really interested in going all the way with this. AFAIK they're out of stock.
>>

you seem like the kind that 'debates' his weeping mother. Fuck off. This is a "Playstation appreciation thread". Star your own, "Saturn appreciation thread" and I promise not to shit in it.

5th console wars AGAIN, /vr/?

From where I live PS1 was the be all end all of video games and was seen as kiddy (as all the medium)
>>
>>4447898
Meanwhile the N64 was pumping out up to 1mil polys per second. 180k is pathetic.
>>
>>4447689
>opinions can't be wrong
This might actually be one of the stupidest things I've ever read.

Best console ever made as far as I'm concerned.

Years ago I've bought PS2 and modded it.
It's pretty sad, but I've hardly ever played it since.
Now I consider sending it to the quirky, but extremely poor anon as a gift for the New Year His plan is to buy some ugly unmodded PS2 for cheap and then, after some time, save money to mod it before he go to the countryside. I've thought that just giving it to him is a good idea and I'm 99.(9)% positive that he is not some begging attentionwhore.
So, here is my question. I consider sending some PS and PS2 disks in addition to that.
Maybe up to five for the each platform.
And I know next to nothing about really good PS titles.
What would you recommend?
>>
THPS
Syphon Filter
Tekken
Tenchu
G-Darius

I couldn't put the console down.
>>
Every ps1 fan should play Yoyo' s puzzle park.
It is one of my all time favourite single screen platformed games, it's like bomber man mixed with bubble bobble.
>>
>>4449295
thnx anon, I'll give it a try.
>>
>>4449180
I assume that's the answer for >>4449149
Thanks. Than this list it is.
I've never had the original PS, so the best I could've done is to look up the "top selling" and "best PS games" charts. Some contrast is appreciated.
