i watched a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VS3h6O-gD8c talking about this phenaminon

all mountains on earth are really just the stumps of giant trees cut down by NWO?????

plz discuss
>>
>>20639214
So why would they hide this?
>>
>>20639214
Not likely they were purposely hidden if true. More likely they fell naturally.
>>
to hide the presence of other life forms such as fayries and the like which inhabited them once if you ask me
>>
>>20639234
There's no need. OP can't even spell phenomenon, so clearly isn't even intelligent enough to pass fifth-grade English. He'll swallow any pill a conspiracy theorist hands him, and call it enlightenment.
>>
clearly didnt watch the vid

it explains everything
>>
also they couldnt have fallen naturally look at that clean cut at the top so obvious theres something bigger at work here

but what???
>>
>>20639287
It is LITERALLY 2 hours long
>>
>>20639214
Tldw silicon trees there saved you guys ops boring video
>>
ofcourse lol it goes deep in def on why and how the trees which youse to be such a big part of our world were destoryed..... why woudn"t it be long?????
>>
>>20639287
i've watched this video and he never explains why. he just says ((they)) did it.
>>
its obvious why though for build materials and to elimanate compatition speces like fayries from the enviroment
>>
This dumb faggot doesn't even know how to reply properly. Either that or bait.
>>
>>20639348
obviously the creator of the video doesn't know and your comment is merely speculation. your guess seems reasonable but i must remain skeptical
>>
skeptasism is a good idea with all the nonesense out there

i didnt believe at 1st either but after some time it started to clique into place for me
>>
Would give this theory credence if most mountains looked like this. Which they don't. And if they weren't made of rock. Which they are.
>>
mountains are manmade quaries of rocks tho like in the vid

rocks dont come that big have you see one????
>>
>>20639325
Again, look at OP's poor spelling and expression. It is obvious why people like him believe this: They're fed some logical fallacies, and since the tale is so circular, they think it's self-fulfilling.
>>
trees can aslo be petrafied too which explains how stuff like sandstone looks like wood
>>
well whats your explanation than????
>>
>>20639431
Mountains don't really exist dude, they are a creation of the national park bureau to generate tourist traffic.

OP's video is unironically true. Rock "formations" like pic related are actually remnants of gigantic silicon-based trees.
>>
>>20639458
Have you ever visited these "formations" or know anyone who has? No, because they don't exist.
>>
>>20639467
They do actually. They're mentioned in the video you didn't watch.
>>
>>20639479
Its all CGI.

I think what the original commenter was trying to explain was the fact that nothing really exists until your act of observing it forces its manifestation.

That's got nothing to do with either mud or fossils.

It's lava cooling from the top down, contracting as it cools.

>>
>>20639214
stupidass dont you have a little bit of critical thinking? how the fuck there could be trees on all solid planets all over the galaxy?
>>
>>20641067
similar, but no. columnar jointing generally refers to polygonal shapes which identical sides and form as columns, and deals with rocks, usually of volcanic origin. this is a really cool geologic structure and if you get the chance to visit one I'd highly recommend it.

the rock is pretty much already solid, it just cracks as a column as it rapidly cools.

silicon based life is possible though, we just don't know how to do it yet. silicon reacts in very similar ways to carbon, it would be foolish to think that it couldn't happen. by definition organics need carbon, but that's only because of what we've seen so far. organics can travel across space which is proven.

organics can evolve to digest organics, proven
http://www.sciencemag.org/news/2016/03/researchers-take-small-step-toward-silicon-based-life
it's completely plausible for silicon based lifeforms to thrive in silicon rich environments.

Yes and no. Petrified wood results from millions of years of the wood being buried under just the right conditions. But, it doesn't simply turn to rock, the organic matter is replaced by minerals, which gives it a very different appearance to simple rock.

This is one of the dumbest conspiracy theories I've heard in a while... And that's saying something.

this is blullshit, no argument is valid enough to say that if kilometric plants exist on the plantet, no evidence of kilometric lifeform( besides plants, say insects or other kind of animals) have remained turned into fossils, or spread around the earth, plus the gigantic inteligent lifeform that cut down such trees and what ...take the silicon logs to build gigant houses with them in another plantet? cause obviously the remains of that "trees" are nowhere to be found, not even marks on the floor that suggest a log falling in the ground
>>
>>20639214

I could see a few mountains as being petrified tree stumps, but many of them are caused by natural geologic phenomena.
Take the Hawaiian islands, formed by a tectonic plate moving over a thin spot on the Earth's crust.
Or the Himalayas, caused by two plates ramming into each other.
The one exception is the "big rocks" in Australia. I have no idea what those are about, but I haven't done any research.

>silicon reacts in very similar ways to carbon

No it doesn't. This is why people who know anything about biochemistry will say silicon based life is impossible. Silicon shares the same periodic column as carbon, and people who have had high school chemistry will know that elements in the same column will have similar chemistry to each other. That's why all the shitty sci fi writers use silicon for different kind of life forms.

Except it's not really true. Silicon-silicon bonds are far weaker than carbon-carbon bonds, and they can't for the skeletal backbones needed for large biomolecules like proteins, fats, sugars, and nucleic acids. Silicon will never work for the fundamental building blocks of life.

Second, and major element used in biochemistry will need to constantly undergo oxidation/reduction reactions. The oxidation product of carbon is a gas that's easily excreted. The oxidation product of silicon, on the other hand, is a solid polymer, which can't be excreted, and takes far to much energy to reduce.

As for your link, yes, there are organisms that can chemically react silicon, but there are all sorts of elements that organisms can metabolize in some form or another. That doesn't mean any of them will be the entire basis for life. The journalists who wrote that pop article are being purposefully click-baity, and the actual chemists probably rolled their eyes and the tone of it.
>>
>>20646494
what do you expect from flat earthers?
>>
>>20646494
>oxidation of carbon produces gas

>carbon loses electrons/carbon's oxidation state increases
>gas is produced
I think you mean oxidation of hydrocarbons and/or carbohydrates.
>>
>>20646494
Never really looked into it, my bad. Didn't think about the atomic radius either. My earlier comment meant to say organics turn silicon into carbon, but after looking into it you're absolutely right.
>>
They can't keep getting away with this
>>
>>20646586
The oxidation product of carbon is carbon dioxide.

Carbon dioxide at STP is gas. That's why you breath out carbon dioxide, anon. Your body is oxidizing carbon and its a waste produce and you exhale it. If you tried doing that with silicon, every cell in your body would quickly fill up with tiny little bits of glass.
