This has similar circulation numbers per volume than Sakamoto Days or Ao no Hako (1 million with four volumes), but it only has 25k in Oricon? I wonder how reliable are these rankings if manga like Tensei Colosseum sells almost everything in digital.
>>
>>271217589
>So when /a/ will start to ignore KGB and other WSJ shit since they're too generic?
But /a/ does? Every wsj series barely get somewhere around 40-50 replies before it dies. Only kgb because it's back by the memes and a select few do because they have dedicated necrobumpers. If anything wsm manga threads have more replies. As for Gokurakugai, if it was in wsj with weekly threads at most it would have the same replies as sakamoto threads has.

How many weeks can a manga with 200+ chaps and an anime adaptation like UU survive at the bottom of the ToC?
>>
>>271218348
if you survive the 100 threshold they will just let you live until the anime
>>

>TES anime boosting the manga more than OnK anime is doing
Did it fall off? Stage-play namek is the last good part, isn't it?
>>
>>271218452
Stage namek is the first bad part save for a couple of parts (mostly with akane because she drives the plot forward).
And it's mostly first seasons boosting shit, everyone interested should have picked it up then.

Ironically yes.

>>

Second seasons barely boost manga sales in general. Look to SpyxFamily.

Actually, Elusive Samurai boost is unimpressive seeing the amount of marketing and "sakuga" that it has. It did fine the first 3-4 weeks but people forgot about it quickly.
>>
>>271218522
>forgot
They didn't forget, what happened is the same shit that happened to the manga, people dropping it hard after a good start because of its MANY issues.
>>
>>271218417
Well UU already got an anime and sales didnt improve one bit
>>
>>271218486
Where is tsugi BOOST, nuerats?
>>
>>271218522
>the amount of marketing
? It barely got any. It was basically a joke that the trailers hardly showed the animation until this PV.

And that was all the series had to go off on until airing.

>>
>>271218541
Yeah, and I really dislike how after Kimetsu no Yaiba, Shonen Jump almost always get high budget adaptations even with meh manga like this one or Undead Unluck, whereas much better manga from other magazines or even LNs get a lot of shitty adaptations.

Well, they got the money to invest in their series.
>>
>>271218734
Eh not completely true. Sakamoto Days looks terrible and witch watch got a meh studio. I think the next high budget one will be akane banashi. Meanwhile gachiakuta got bones.
>>
>>271218764
>Ao no Miburo

I wonder how desperate Shonen Magazine has to be to make a 2-cour adaptation of a sub-10k seller manga, when it should have been axed long ago.

Same with Magi Lumiere.
>>
>>271218826
>I think the next high budget one will be akane banashi
I think it'll be Kagurabachi, since it's basically guaranteed to be a worldwide phenomenon compared to everything else upcoming
>>
>>271218928
Kagurabachi is not till like 2026. Akane will definitely be a 2025 anime.
>>
>>271218764
Dandadan will most likely impress the western streaming audience, but I don't think this will translate into manga sales. Only into streaming numbers for the season.
>>
Akane only exists for ministry of culture gibs
>>
>>271215611
Nue is really stagnating
>>
>>271219131
It's not? It sold over 800k for 5 volumes. Now, we are looking for the #6's performance which is just like #5 so far -- i'm thinking 1m by the end of this month.

Dandadan rape part of the first episode will scare half the viewers

Why is HxH declining so much?
I thought people love the Spiders.
>>
>>271218734
Different companies. Kadokawa just spams a whole bunch of isekais every season instead getting all those animators to focus on 1 or 2 shows.
>>271218826
Mashle also didn't get good sakuga till like the second season and idk about yoza family but it probably isn't high quality.

I don't see Ao no Hako getting much boost apart of the first two-three weeks when it's "Nothing happens: The Manga".

Trillion Game isn't really appealing to anime audience, not to talk that it's being outsourced to a random Korean studio.

Amagami will do similarly to Megami no Cafe Terrace.

MagiLumiere and Ao no Miburo are flop manga that should have been axed, but for some reason are getting an anime adaptation.

Dandadan is the only that I see getting a big boost, but it's actually not that popular in Japan in sales, so who knows.

This Fall season has to be the most underwhelming one in a lot of years, Fall is usually the strongest season of the year but it feels like an average lineup at most. Dandadan and a few popular sequels like Re:Zero, Blue Lock or Arifureta, but that's it.
>>
>>271219816
>that should have been axed
Magilumiere does fine in its own platform.
> but it's actually not that popular in Japan in sales, so who knows.
It dropped eventually so there's a chance it actually gets a decent boost by adapting the early stuff (kaiju 8).
>>
>>271219816

Jump is legitimately just coasting till the KGB anime
>>

That mass leak said the company adapting it was betting hard on BB being a hit.
Who knows, maybe it gets super popular.
>>
>>271220053
I'm sure it'll be popular, but I also wouldn't be shocked if Kagurabachi still ends up beating it by the end of October
>>
>>271220053
It's a pretty looking inoffensive sports romance that's already a consistent 100k per month seller, that's really all it takes
It will get a bigger boost than the previous few Jump anime even if there isn't a lot of discussion around it

>>
>>271219402
If they aren’t stupid (and if the author is in good shape) they should just include her in the physical magazine again, they don’t realize how a boost in popularity it get to have monthly color page and exposure in wsj instead of the digital version/J+

Kek. How come JJK and SxF can't retain their audience? For all it's fault at least MHA never dip on sales this drastic.

OnS actually started getting threads again because of the plot. The chapter where Shinoa snapped and burned an entire town's food supply just to spite Yuu piqued many people's interest again. Not long after that was the whole flashback arc that finally explained what the deal was with Sika and Mikaela. It helps that OnS, like WT, is one of the few SQ series that's simulpubbed.
D.Gray-man also gets threads once or twice a year when Hoshino bothers to put out a new chapter. Dark Gathering, Kemono Jihen, Phantom Busters, and Bugle Call get occasional threads too.
>>
>>271223254
It wouldn't be so shit if the release schedule was good. He was being retarded with doing ex chapters every too much while the flashback was going, which really let people down.
>>
>>271218847
Nepotism. That guy also made football manga for magazine before this, but I don't remember it getting anime or if it's really notable or not, but definitely not on the same level of saving the magazine like Negi with toubun.
