>>271259489it's been 3 months, did they fugg?
>>271259112The manga has adapted anime stuff before. After a while it adopted the anime design for Guyver 2 in a flashback.
>>271260851what was different about guyver 2 in the anime? even is 2000's anime appearance seems pretty faithful to how he looked in chapter 2.
>>271260830>>2712609144 dead zoalords you say? BRB
>>271259771I'm sure the giant dragon guy constantly yelling that he does not care about the people and was willing to blow up the city didn't help the Chronos Public Relations either.
>>271261227to be fair, most of the people who could hear that were subsumed into his body or vaporized in a massive explosion.
>>271257600god i hate women
>>271261127No? In Chapter 2 he was a complete replica of Guyver 1 except for the placement of the sonic ball and breather thing. Anime Guyver 2 has a very different head and body design.
>>271261425what's so different about his design? it was actually chapter 3 but the melty ribcage bits are the most different thing I can think about his design and they were right there.
>>271261204Looks like Imakarum was not totally on board with Alkanphel's plan here.
>>271261465Man I would kill for a Guyver tokusatsu show with the budget to actually pull off these designs
>>271260204I think so
>>271261576if apollon is imakarum then I assume this collect the zoacrystals is an effort to reincarnate or revitalize archanphel as some kind of plan B. in balcus's flashback he said something about the 11 other zoacrystals were harvested or grown from archanphel's, so juicing him up with all of them might help with him being in his weird super coma.
>>271261572It was already stated that Takaya started using the anime designs when Guyver 2 was mentioned in the manga. Chapter 3 Guyver 2 looked like this
>>271257600>Woman zoanoids>woman guyvers the author is becoming woke
>>271261716wait, when did they update his look? was the anime even out before the volume release?
>>271261821No the anime came out 4 years later. The look was adapted in the manga sometimes in the early 90s. Manga Guyver 2 originally was a complete mirror of Guyver 1 except for the mouthpiece placement.
>>271258691Isn't this the Guyver 2 design from the OVA? I could've sworn than when he debuted in the manga, he was just a bigger version of Guyver 1
>>271261866okay but >>271261572 is a page from chapter 3, so there was some revision to the original chapters at some point.
>>271261911No it isn't, that is a page from the 2003 rerelease books.
>>271261948>2003 rerelease okay, that's what I was asking.
>>271261882ugh, sorry nevermind. I just got a bit further in the thread and got my question answered

>>271262026he didn't have any legs, and probably couldn't do much with them aside from give the finger to chronos so presumably he just cut his losses and fucked off with the thing he came for before any backup showed up since his goon squad blew themselves up aside from griselda.
>>271261716Hey that's a nice piece of fanart, too bad it's fucking fake. Get that shit out of here spamming faggot. And in the middle of a storytime. >>271261821It's fanart, not real. Do not believe the spamming faggot.

>>271258400I can't wait to see her using the gigantic
>>271258045>3 months have passedOkay then.>>271258069>TabernaclesScusi?
>>271262149>turn people into your enemy's supersoldersbut he wants his own supersoldiers. whether he knew it or not there is a level of control archanphel can exert over the other zoalords, and agito wouldn't want to risk that in his own forces. the navigations spheres are a sure thing since they could provide him his own gigantic. the best he could have done was keep the crystals away from chronos (hence, giving them the finger) but why bother, when his plan seems to be to fuck chronos wholesale, preferably before they get new hosts for the crystals. he opted to acquire known power capable of what he wanted instead of snatching something that might not even have directly benefited him.
>>271261911Yes, the manga was released around the time of the last anime series and a lot of character designs were updated to the anime equivalents since the creator never seemed to mind doing that. 1986 manga Guyver 2 was pretty much exactly the same as Sho except for a few small bits in the face.
>>271262275>"oh wow this is going to help my enemies so let me just leave in their fucking pockets for reasons"
>>271262327>the anime equivalents since the creator never seemed to mind doing that. I know for guyver 2 specifically he lamented how little was done with the character, which is also why the 2000's anime gave him an expanded role and probably why 2F was pulled in to the manga.

>>271262026stop posting images during the storytime you colossal nigger
>>271262447It's not too surprising for a manga in the mid 80s though. A character appears, and a chapter later they die and are never thought about again. It's just the length of this series that makes Guyver II such a insanely quick thing. The Chronos story just kept on going for another 25 years, while the mirror antagonist was dead by chapter 4. In 86 I doubt anyone was assuming this series would still be around after about three or four years, much less thirty.
>>271262690all true, i think the biggest loss is that the number of guyvers was set with a limit from the start. one was the hero, one was evil, and one was an anti-hero. dumping the evil one pretty much immediately is just narratively short sighted.

>>271262026>>271262096No considering he saw what happened with Murakami and Guyot, yoinking the zoacrystals for his Libertus and Griselda would have been an obvious. Also caving Barcus head in.
>>271263039>for his Libertus and Griselda would have been an obviousthe whole point of the libertus and griselda is to rival chronos's power with forces not part of their whole system, plugging the centerpieces of that system into his own guys just seems counter productive.not ripping out balcus's crystal just to finish the job is the one thing that seems especially out of character for agito.

>>271259322Of course that was the detail Cronus forgot to recreate.
>>271262930>>271262978>>271263017I wonder if Apollon is the result of an old automated system rather than the advents having an active interest in earth since assuming they kept advancing their technology to them Arkenphel would be working with thousands of years old tech and his big bio ship would be him bringing a Renault FT to a Bolo fight
>>271263265well there is a question of how long it takes them to develop new technology. the idea of the advents in this continuity isn't presenting some young earth version of the world, but it's presenting evolution as we understand it as a guided and intentional process. if the advents' tech development works on a scale of millions of years for one acceptable innovation they could only be on like v2.0 to humanity's 1.0
>>271261598Too much information.>>271262073There's an obvious joke that could be made here.>>271262234You just want a huge woman, don't you?I don't blame you.

>>271263187Why are they like this?
>>271257600Guyver II F is a lame development to be honest. Her motivation is so lame
>>271263584he specifically made zoanoids that aren't affected by chronos's control, and the guyver inherently avoids that. by my logic, that's the fucking point.
>>271263712Valkyria looking /fa/ as fuck.
>>271263384I guess that's fair but then it begs the question of why they went with such a hilariously slow to advance technology as their main attempt at military advancement. >>271263762I really don't follow you. It's not like using a Zoacrystal makes you more susceptible to attacks from other Zoalords. It only appears to make you more resistant. Again it's just a power source
>>271264081>>271264128Ah, so the new guyver II is now facing off against the sinister enzyme III’s, how skilled is she exactly. And now with a total of 5 dead zoalord’s the situation regarding chronos looks rather grim, plus guyot really is still alive, and what is exactly apollon and his connection with the creators? These and others will be told in volume 27
>>271264144it specifically subjugates them to archanphel. More importantly, he has no reason to know what it does. why assume it's just a power source based on no information at all, when he has a perfectly functional homemade zoalord that works just fine, and the risks of losing his own forces because of a direct connection to chronos would be catastrophic?
>>271264275That doesn't seem remotely accurate. We've seen Zoalords defy Arcanphel twice now. He doesn't even communicate with most of them.
>>271264531we've seen zoalords go against archanphel's plan, gyuot was directly cowed by archanphel in person. the only reason the zoalords are turning traitor is because archanphel doesn't directly communicate with them. A random zoanoid could fuck off and piss in their boss's office until a zoalord actually cared enough to command them not to.and again, agito doesn't know what the relation between zoacrystals, zoalords and each other is. he'd be risking plugging into the system he's gone to lengths to circumvent for a power he's already proved capable of equaling on his own.
>>271258811Ok, why cronos don't use the lazer zoanoids (or any other powerful ones) against the libertus? Hell, I don't even know why they don't have enzymes knowing that Guyver already invade the place
>>271258889Is me or her mega smashers are bigger (not that I am complain)?

>>271267767if it is useful to them, he has already failed. there's no point to doing that, you drooling retard.

>>271262244nani the kore?!
>>271262387/zoalord Caerleon was raped in the sweltering summer of 2009
>>271263147I think Agito also wants his subordinates to be on a time limit and die within a year or two. If they stole Zoa crystals then that might make Griselda and any other candidates just take the place of the current Zoalord and maintain the same fucked up situation on Earth of Zoalords ruling everyone. Agito wants to be the only superpowered person on the planet.
>>271263265I'm not totally convinced he is one of them, if the older stuff is to be believed that a standard Guyver unit is way more powerful than any of them. Also these same guys consider a regular zoanoid and a tyrannosaurus a dangerous weapon. I would not put them on the level of a zoalord at all. >>271263384Definitely very slowly if they spent 300 million years on their Earth experiment only to drop it and cut their losses when it was considered to be a failure. I more wonder what Alkenphel thinks he is going to accomplish going after them with the Ark. They already have total control over him and they want him dead. All of a sudden their greatest, most terrifying failure ever showing up in a warship with billions of soldiers is going to send them right back into panic mode all over again.
>>271263778Yeah, but since she didn't take her clothes off, they got destroyed. Or stuck in another dimension.
>>271270596>All of a sudden their greatest, most terrifying failure ever showing up in a warship with billions of soldiers is going to send them right back into panic mode all over again. That implies they did fucking nothing in literal millions and millions of years and did not evolve at all which is not realistic, they'd logically have learned from their mistake and be so far beyond what Archanfel can cook up he would be a joke to them.Which I think is another reason why Takaya gave up, it was just a stupid story beat he could no longer retcon and couldn't think of a satsifying way to end this story.
A question I have is why did the Advents need weapons/soldiers in the first place? They're an advanced space faring civilization so what could push them to start with these dangerous experiments?"Best" case scenario is that they are the top dogs of the universe and are simply fighting a civil war, but what if there's something else out there?
>>271264220Really seems like Chronos just happening to bullshit up a new Guyver unit on their own and another Lisker appearing out of nowhere to steal it seems like too many asspulls just to have the OAV Guyver appear in the manga. And for no real useful reason too.
>>271269831O'GuyverMac is a Scottish prefix
>>271270900Maybe they're arms dealers.
>>271270900>A question I have is why did the Advents need weapons/soldiers in the first place?Uhhhhhh they just didstop asking questions, earthling
>>271270727This series seems to be implying that evolution is entirely an artificial thing that the ancients use to speed up their experiments. With the timescales used here, barely any time has passed since they ditched Earth, not comparable to their time on Earth. They were there experimenting with biological life for about 300-400 million years, not including the generating an oxygen atmosphere that stretches things to about 900 million years. While Arkenphel's stopping the meteor is closer to 100 thousand to 70 thousand years ago. Barely a few years to the Ancients. Not nearly enough time for them to go to a new world and start from scratch all over again.
>>271270900Wars still need grunts on the ground. Despite what can be accomplished with nuclear weapons, ICBMs, and fighter jets, you still need a guy with a rifle in hand on the ground to do the work. Zoanoids are those grunts on the ground, while a Zoalord is the artillery that blows up all defenses before the grunts come in to occupy a place.
>>271270727It has not been millions of years since the first ice age. It has at best been around 80K years.
>>271270900The aliens do not seem to be very capable themselves. Not if a Guyver is hundreds of times more powerful than them, and a standard Ramotith is considered to be a very dangerous weapon of war to them. Claws and fangs are dangerous war weapons.I imagine it was not the human guyver that scared them half as much as the thought of Arkenphel no longer being under their domination that scared them shitless. They manufactured a fucking super saiyan that if it got out of their control might just become the ruler of their empire.
>>271271216I think the question was more like "who/what are they even fighting against?" not "why do they need soldiers if they could just use bombs and spaceships and shit?"
>>271269545It Absolutely does, the 89 series is much more famous. There’s a certain scene in the 86 version where when the bio boost armor is fusing with her it resembles tentacle sex
>>271257751It was made by shos will to stand up to zoalords, with alkanphel having been the only ine he'd met at the time so... maybe?

>>271261598Why are the Zoalords such sluts?
>>271273608Haven’t read it but I keep hearing stuff about icicle’s
>>271270900The American movie said that they are on war with another race, is not canon but is plausible.>>271271133Yeah, evolution and scientific advancements needs new blood, if the uranus live enough to make a million years experience, there is no way they advance in 50k years>>271273939Guyver is probably the most famous obscure
>>271262567>ded alreadyThese Zoalords are a joke
Now I have a question, zoanoids can bioboost if they have a G-unit?
>>271274348theoretically yes, and it would likely be more powerful than the guyvers we've seen owing to the stronger base organism. the zoanoid guyver is the one unequivocally hype thing from the live action movies
>>271274348>>271274426One of the older fan theories was Guyot getting a g-unit at some point being the real endgame of the series.
>>271270627At least she kept her shades
>>271274832imagine doing the kamen rider skull thing and throwing the shades before the henshin so she could wear them over the suit
>>271274789I could definitely see guyot hijacking the final boss by finding a secret fourth G-unit, specifically the zero unit from the flashback
>>271274789I mean, he have the unity remover, this is great way to make him the big boss

The moral of The Guyver is that you can have a series that gets popular enough to get merchandise, Ova's, a TV show, and American movie adaptations, but that doesn't compare to the sheer amount of money you can make as a dentist.
>>271277619Never officially canned, who knows but it’s kinda safe to assume how this series would end
>>271280386a Japanese dentist.
>>271280386I think that really proves that being a mangaka is a passion project and not a money making project. No matter how internationally successful the franchise becomes.

>>271262327It's the cranial shape that made him looks distinctively different than Guyver I (Sho). The "orbs" are on the sides of his head instead of top.
>>271265455As they should be
>>271261227The public don't know the Draglord was with chronos, they can say he's an alien invader as much as the guyvers
>>271276231I don't think that'd happen before an all 3 Guyver team up first.
>>271283241So do we know if the design of the Guyver depends more on the unit used, or the user?
>>271286400The user I think. Dark Gigantic got more protuding spikes and extra pair of HF blade just like Guyver III despite being born from the very same cocoon that Sho used.
>>271287049Yeah, but the Gigantic seems more like a module that adds to the base armor than its own thing. Also, what's with the Gardevoir chest thing on her armor?
In that case it is likely that Guyver unit itself also morphed into the form that fit the host.Creator alien experimented them on several other life forms before human so it's make sense that the suit can morphed into several other shapes. If you focused enough while bonding maybe you can fine tune the details of your new armor, who knows?
>>271257600holy femto
Flashback : Sho regenerated his entire body just from little pieces of flesh hanging on his Control Medal.
>>271286400I'd imagine the actual form and musculature is dependent on the user, but the little details (the extra spikes on Guyver III for instance) are specific to the unit.
>>271288530It doesn't take much.
