Idazig is a big fucking city with a population of 500,000, well eclipsing the biggest cities of its time irl. That's a lot of walls and houses to blast through, not to mention people.The city itself has so many elites compared to her side's that can be counted on two hands at most, and there's the hero's party to deal with her personally. I think it's fair to say in a full melee, the city would win eventually with heavy losses, hence she had to attempt a political takeover instead of a coup first.The city also made the correct strategic choice to hole up behind its walls and citizen sacrifices over grinding down its own reserve going after her outside. The fact that she feels threatened by Project Ãœberbarrel and comes to them is even more ideal. Now they get to whittle down her forces and get to her easier.We can surely think of a few strategies that are more effective she could employ, but the main crux comes down to the fact that she's the majority concentrated power of the wizards and loss condition that will eventually get overwhelmed/risk being overwhelmed just by appearing on the battlefield by the ironically decentralized power distribution of the offices and the city's many competing military forces.
