He's got a really straightforward fighting style with a clear limitation that isn't all that restrictive in the One Piece universe, given everyone is pretty much super human. In addition, it provides a clear contrast to the other major combatants on the crew (Luffy and Zoro) both in terms of style and strengths/weaknesses. Sanji, being an almost exclusively physical hitter, who doesn't have the protection of a rubber body or the blocking power of swords, thus making him defensively frail, means the focus on his fights involves quickly taking down an opponent with overwhelming force whilst avoiding taking as much damage as possible. To achieve this he can utilise his impressive speed and mobility, on ground, sea and in the air and even sneak attacks, should the situation allow for it, given he isn't as focused on fighting for funs sake, like Luffy, or proving himself as a swordsman, like Zoro.In comparison, I have much more of a problem with Zoro's fighting style, simply due to the presence of his third sword. It's such a limiting factor for drawing interesting sword fights as it gets in the way of the various techniques one could utilise with a single or dual blade fighting style. In addition, when you then have to involve the third blade in some form, it almost always ends up just leading to a boring horizontal slash as you really cant move it much at all from its horizontal position in his mouth. I wonder if it would have been possible to have him still use the three sword style, but have the sword in his mouth be a much smaller blade, used primarily for defensive means. Almost like a parrying dagger, but in the mouth. The idea being to maximize his offensive power with a two sword style, but not completely abandoning defence by having a third blade on hand as a last form of defence against any of his opponents move that threaten to break through whilst he's in full offence mode.

>>273313319To this day, I still think the pop greens could have worked really well if they had been limited in number and clearly shown to do one specific thing. Then, Usopp had to be the one to find ways to use them creatively, depending on the environment/situation. Not having a limited amount of special ammunition just makes it boring when you can pull something perfectly suited to a situation out of your arse.
