I grew up with TMNT, I grew up with Naurto (at least until the time skip) It's so I'll admit been awhile since I really sat down with either but I remember both enough to know, this shit feels wrong. Not just in the concept or the art, but it how its written. Everybody feels like a empty shell of themselves and is a caricature of who they're supposed to be and the worldbuilding is somehow a step below your typical shounen movie. It feels very half assed and lazy, knowing the base line of the characters but stopping there, like someone only read the wiki pages on them and built a story around that.
