This conversation about Denji's future is deeply poisoned by character agendas so on the record, I don't think Denji will die for real and certainly not soon, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibilities.I just can't see Denji going back to being the same character that he was after this, I still feel like he didn't have the proper time to reflect about what being CSM really means to him. Questions like:Is this what he really wants? being CSM to be adored superficially by a bunch of people in hopes of getting sex?What about his original dream of getting together with a girl, playing games and falling asleep in her arms?What about his original deal with Pochita of living a normal life and dying a normal death?He was given a "normal life" that was heavily manufactured, taking care of Nayuta was very taxing and he was deeply unhappy about it. But at the same time choosing that high of being CSM got her killed and left him in an even worse position. So what now? he could search for NuBlood and NuConquest, but is he even in the position to do that now? He has no home, no pets, no allies outside of Asa and Pochita (and the former is being used to get rid of the latter).There are still many mysteries about "Chainsaw Man" (like the whole humans turning into trees thing) but Denji wouldn't proactively seek them out, he's not that type of character, those would be revealed as they fight against the likes of Kiga and/or primal devils.When taking all of that into consideration, progressions like >>273630771 suggest start making sense, being in a depowered state or something like that would give him the proper tools to reflect on these things and get off the "CSM high" that he's been riding.tl:dr.
