Delicious Party Review 13!What a day for no Amane.Summary for the anons that need it: The girls are checking in on Amane who has been out of school for over a week, receiving gifts from her twin brothers. At school Takumi is brooding hard, lightly concerning Yui, but no matter as they are meeting up later to see their dads' on their special trip. At home Takumi continues his brood session after his mom teases him over her affections for Yui. In his room he ponders the heart pendant his dad left him, and how it compares to the half drop Mari has. Later at Yui's the two families get their video call going with Takumi's dad embarrassing him even harder than his mom could manage. The two fathers explain what's going on, how they miss everyone, and other regular small talk, before ending with Takumi's dad begging forgiveness for being away so long. After, Takumi's mom begins reminiscing to deal with missing her husband while Yui's mom begins making Shirasu udon. We are treated to a long meet cute followed by a generic Japanese slopmance, that only ends because Takumi reasonably calls her out for spamming the story. The story leads to Yui's motto, which triggers a memory for Takumi when he and Yui fought, and her grandma brought them back together with food. With the reminiscing done, its time to eat for the two families. As they finish Narcistoru is attacking and now stealing the memories of food, causing Yui to run out, hotly followed by Takumi. After insulting Narcistoru's intro, its time to fight and Takumi forces his way in. The Cures aren't ready for the new MoTW, even with their upgraded powers. Luckily a mysterious shot saves them and Delicious smashes with a 1000Kcal punch. After the cleanse, Takumi is brooding in his room, concerned, but not hating Mari.

Marine doesn't develop after the first two episodes, sure, but she's perfect from the start whereas Itsuki wasn't a good enough character to remain static after her Cure transformation and for me to still like her a lot. The finale arc is mostly good, but I can't help but be a little mixed on it, mostly because of how hard Yuri is bullied. It's also a little weird that the last boss of a season that cared so much about each individual side character is himself not much of a character, but that's a more minor issue.At least the movies really great, though movies don't really count for a lot when it comes to ranking seasons for me.
