The characters design-wise are okay (I actually like some of the arab-esque design elements), but their powers are all over the place, to the point sometimes they felt stronger than Afto, even though Ashihara has consistently told and shown us they are the big bad boss of the neighborhood.
I rewatched S1 recently at the first 20~ episodes in particular are so fucking awkward to sit through. All these long pauses after a character says something, not even holding on a character's reaction or anything, just dead air to pad time.
