Finally watched this and I don't get the hype at all. Feels like they said "oh shit it's the last episode we need to wrap this up" and did it in the most half-assed manner imaginable.
You lost
>>288266989This show is genuinely just high production value and passionate artists being led by someone who didn't know what they were doing. So many different elements of it are great but the way they are put together makes the whole lesser than the sum of its parts.
You were supposed to stop at episode 4.
>>288267235>led by someone who didn't know what they were doing. The cyberpunk Studio?
Did we watch the same show?
>>288267220...time on shitty anime
It followed a common cyberpunk story arc of a streetrat breaking in to the biz, pulling a few win, getting greedier and ending up dead because he got in way over his head.>city is full of cyber-psychos>"yeah but i'm special i'd never go cyber-psycho">ignores all alarm signs of cyberpsychosis settling inhe managed to become a LEGEND of Night City thanks to hijacking a fukken mecha suit, though. Most cyberpsychos just get put down by MaxTac.
>>288266989power=bad. is that simple
>>288268955>ignoreshe knew what he was getting into. all that "I'm bill dipperly" stuff was just bravado. He installed the sandy knowing it would kill him eventually because better than than going out the way his mom did or else just dying homeless in a ditch somewhere. He chromed up even more after seeing where it would lead him because he knew that was the best kind of death he could expect as a cyberpunk and if he could just get Lucy away from Arasaka then at least it would be worth it.
>>288268955Being special worked for smasher
>>288266989That's how every single episode feel like, is a rushed mess full of irrelevant characters, is just supposed to look good but big emphasis on "supposed".
>>288266989It's literally made for zoomers with their dopamine receptors ruined by FAGMAN.If you're not addicted to your phone or your depression isn't manufactured by big corpo, then chances are you're not gonna like it at all.
the show was so great that it dragged the shitter of a game out of the toilet. Nothing in history ever saved a franchise and a flopped ip like that. By this fact alone, know that you are the minority and your opinion is wrong and it doesnt matter.
>>288272406It won /a/oty the year it came out.
>>288272406>>288272455Case(s) in point.
>>288266989Weird, I had the exact opposite impression. The story was building up to that finish from the start.>>288267235Also opposite. Trigger's had interviews where they talked about scrapped alt endings and which sides came up with certain story elements, and it's crazy how only working together landed them on the optimal level of bittersweet to make the tragedy stick.
>>288266989An actual mono[molecular]wire wouldn't be remotely visible, to say nothing of it having enough shear and tensile strength to function like a razor whip
someone, post it
>>288266989It's shit, just like everything else Trigger ever made. I used to think Shaftfags were the worst fanbase, but Triggerfags are infinitely worse.
>>288272601>Written by committeeEverything makes sense now
I liked it, probably the closest thing we will ever get to 80's cyberpunk OVAs.
>>288272714Be more specific.
>>288272872Maybe it's the Adam Smasher gif.
Not anime>>>/co/
>>288267498Anon watched it all at x3 speed.
>>288272406That's not really a good argument for the quality of the show. There's so many trash ass slop games that were simply by having a mediocre anime adaptation.
>>288272884
>>288272973
>>288266989Its clearly playing a homage to 70's and 80's crime/gangsta movies that were also just mimicking real life events. Live fast, die fast.
>>288273131it's also how the game is supposed to play. i mean, not CDred's game, but Cyberpunk is supposed to be a highly lethal setting where people just eat a bullet outta nowhere and life goes on.
>>288272752You can get lightning in a bottle from creative tension, or you can get shit. Star Wars pretty much spans the whole spectrum with the OG trilogy being gold, the prequels suffering from tighter Lucas control, and the sequels suffering even worse from director swaps jerking it around.
>>288266989>don't get the hypeWhat hype did you smoke? Really smoking any hype at all is a bad idea, it ruins your media experience. Pumping up expectations is just setting yourself up for misery, and even if it meets your expectations you are cutting out enjoyment of a product if you smoke the hype. It's always better to go in blank or even expecting bad shit. That way, the actual performance value will be a net positive for you. If you bought into some ad or media marketing that sold this as the BEST ANIME EVAR, that is on you. It's not. It's not the worst either. It's a good, solid tight show, and it's a tragedy so it's not going to be everyone's cup of tea.
>>288273487He didn't say he bought into the hype, he just said he doesn't get it
>>288273481Disney star wars suffers from the media conglomerate treating it as children's shows instead of the smarter family friendly entertainment. As a result, everything was stripped out and reduced to elementary level entertainment, which becomes intolerable to thinking adults. This is why the movies/shows are just set piece to set piece action, nostalgia bait, and plots that only kids can accept because they are know nothings, inserted with THE MESSAGE that Disney has to apply to all media lest it lose investor funding. Continuity and severe plot holes don't matter to kids, but they matter to thinking adults. Andor was a weird lightning in a bottle occurrence where something adult got made instead somehow. (Rogue One was just Dark Forces gender swapped, it wasn't fresh media)SW will never be allowed to have competent writing again. It's a "children's product" and they expect you to consume it because "Product".
>>288266989Cyberslop goyrunners.
>>288273508He subconsciously did, and it ruined his enjoyment, hence the whole purpose of the OP. If you aren't preventing exposure to ads, you are being affected by them. And if you think you aren't affected, YOU ARE AFFECTED.
>>288273603You probably think this is some genius revelation. In reality you're taking a stupid solution to a normal problem. You can simply choose how to be affected.
Reminded me of 90s ovas so I was happy. Even if it’s complete trash, I’ll watch any cyberpunk 90s anime..
