I went with production order and recently finished G-reco (wasted potential). I only skip SD, build, compilations. I thought the SEED+Destiny 100 episodes back to back was a slog, but I had to watch AGE at x2 speed to finish it.
The 50th anniversary thing is really wishful thinking about the demography of who's still into Gundam. It's an old man franchise and this shit is just marketing, right down to the zoom zoom music.
