I just don't read shonenshit and it's worked out well for me so far. I do read One Piece but I've been reading that for decades, before I had much awareness of shitty manga endings.
>>
>>288611259
SnK ending look like a masterpiece compared to this shit
>>
>>288611452
Lucky you, One Piece will have an ending so controversial and disappointing relative to it's hype and 30+ year length that series like SnK, OnK, and CSM will look amazing and concise by comparison
>>
>>288611477
I've already lost so much interest in it over the years that a shitty ending won't phase me. Whatever happens it's going to be a landmark event in manga history.
>>
>>288611477
it's just never going to end because oda will croak before that happens

>>288611477
I'm looking forward to the 20 chapter epilogue myself

I don't blame Fujimoto. Why waste another 5-10 years on CSM when you could be making more Oscar bait oneshots. Look how popular Look Back has been.

Bad ending is one thing, but the ending just made the entirely of the manga pointless.

I read like the first 10 chapters of part 2, kinda liked it, then put it in my backlog waiting for it to finish. Then I woke up, checked /a/, saw the ending

English is popular because of the United States, a country with zero culture.
>>

>a country with zero culture
Half the shit the Japs stapled onto their culture they took from the US or lost the meaning in the translation from the US
Valentine's day? The US exported it.
Christmas? The US exported it.
Baseball? The US exported it.
Animation? The US exported it.
Loanwords? The US exported it.
Many such cases

I don't understand how anyone can read shounen when it feels like they all end up being this way. I don't partake in them much but I just see post after post about how a timeskip happens and fucks everything up so often. Doesn't help that shounen as a whole just seems so uninteresting and samey, especially nowadays.
>>
>>288615598
Very few of them has satisfying ending

No wonder FMA gets so much shit here; pure jealousy from other shonen heads.

Look, I'm not some zoomer whose dictionary is limited to "overrated" and "underrated". To signify he likes or dislikes something. But CSM was the very definition of overrated. It was so pumped and blasted to stardom that it lived off the fumes of hype for half a decade, before anyone starting asking the hard question: "when does this actually get good?".

What people liked was The Idea of Chainsawman, not the manga itself. A big whole community effort to pretend they were reading the next big thing. Even if rationally, no one could really point out why it should be considered as good as any (dime a dozen) 90s gore shonen. Everyone was just looking into the future and into their imagination, to see something that just wasn't there on the actual pages.

Even now, people are pretending that the movie was some kind of masterstroke. It was a boring, forgettable episode with an obvious twist that felt like it was done in other series at least a dozen times before. They pushed down the series to artificially prop up the movie, when really they're the fucking same. But CSM wasn't the first to end up like this, and won't be the last, because this incestuous industry has been reduced to a filthy commerce where you get sold promises in return for nothing.

It's pretty bad, part 2 started to kill the momentum from part 1 and the ending of part 2 literally destroyed all goodwill instantly.
>>
>>288616457
The anime is doing pretty well, the CSM movie even outsold JJK's, which means it's one of the biggest anime movies ever, the manga flopped pretty badly though.
>>
>>288618518
>The anime is doing pretty well
For now.
>>
>>288617191
Another seething retard, You have to understand that in order to write a substantiated and valid critique about something, first of all it's imperative that you have some sort of at least partial grasp on what it's about, what's going on and why things happen. You don't, at all.

good pacing, interesting story and characters that are varied, good enough art, great plot twists, overall great read
>part 2
literal schizobabble "what if X but school life?!?!?!", how could one man fuck it up so bad. genuine question, what the fuck happened
>>
>>288611259
To be fair, CSM didn’t end on a cliffhanger. That’s more than what can be said about Bastard!, Vagabond, Guyver, X/1999, and Getter Robo Ark.
>>
I just can't help myself. I love finding new series to read and wait patiently every week or month for the next chapter.

>"it was the great illusion of a generation"

Average CSM fan.
>>
>>288616457
Yes, or tied with AoT. Actually no, AoT was always bigger and its ending was only slightly less pathetic. So yes, CSM wins.
>>
>>288619786
I heard AoT's anime fixed most of the problems with the ending. We can only hope as much for CSM.
