i got kicked out for poor performance (most likely undiagnosed adhd). i've become a pretty successful software engineer since then but my failure has haunted me ever since. I feel like i'm a loser that couldnt keep up with the other guys who were way more fucked up that i am. they said they would never take me back unless i had strong evidence of improvement but i wouldnt want to go back anyway

Do not put your faith in man.
You have only one entity to not fail and that's God.

Many men in history are so warmly remembered for things outside of their physical capabilities.

How the hell do you fail bootcamp? Likeā€¦ goddamn. All you have to do is do what they tell you. Even literal retards can pass

Why do you want to join the army? 99/100 would opt not to given the chance

NTA but the benefits are good, and there are many jobs whete there's very low chance of ever being in danger even if we go to war.

Academia and boot camps are full of retarded stuck on some sort of pedigree of ass kissing and rote memorization.

I failed CS and dropped out. No degree. I make more than all my friends, including grads. Most of them are unemployed presently.

The only way the system has power over you is if you let it.

Listen man, Ive been in the army for 6 years at this point. The only people who willingly join are societal retards and those who fell on hard times. I was both unfortunately. After basic training you realize pretty quickly that no matter how much they try and sell the "culture" of being a military man, of being a hardcore warrior, the absolute factual truth is that 99% of the guys within the military are just regular people who still suck at their job just as much as civilians suck at their jobs. Anyone who passes basic training is either an autist who can ignore the horrible treatment and grueling schedule, or they simply put up with it because they have no other options.

Essentially what Im saying is, because youre likely a normal person that had no other drive other than "excitement" for a false narrative, you didnt make it. You werent backed against the wall financially and you werent a turbo sperg mentally. Youre simply a normal dude and normal dudes dont need to put up with all that bullshit.

Why get over it, maybe not being over it is what makes you get your shit together.

I won't read twitching freak that can't sit still threads.

i'd tell you to fly to paris and give the foreign legion a try if you still have the itch, but you're 100% gonna quit and not make it.
