Well its pretty much that, i've been suffering from these two things pretty much all my life, and im really, really tired of it, i know my mental fog isn't (at least enterely) derived from being terminally online but rather from being terminally on my own head, in 2022 i admitted myself for 2 weeks on a psych ward and like 3 weeks after i got out i got fucking dengue and spend 9 days on a hospital bed and things were the same, so i guess the cause its the Maladaptive Daydreaming and i dont know how to deal with this thing

had a problem with my brain fog too until very recently, so I know how bad this kind of shit sucks.you always have that feeling of derealisation and life feels like sand slipping out of your hands every time
the only thing that truly solved it was as simple as it may sound, putting that fucking phone dow, focusing on a book or whatever activity I was doing
now you said it is mainly caused by being in your own head terminally and it's funny because a friend of mine said the same thing to me a few days ago my best guess would be try to focus your mind on the real life, since trying to stop being in your own head will be counter productive. like maybe try reflecting on situations as they are happening

i sometimes try to do that, but it feels kinda wrong because im still on my head, kinda like that buddhism "stop wishing not to wish" thing

Chlorine dioxide. A cure-all that is easy and cheap to make from two readily available ingredients. Gives no negative side effects when taken correctly. People use it when they don't know what their health problem is and it resolves like magic.
