I will preface this by saying I'm a dumbass with money, but I've only just realized it. The car payment hit and I'm down to -$180ish and I'm out of a job. I panicked and started applying and luckily landed a factory job but my first day is four days from now and it'll probably be at least a week after that until I get payed.
I burned through all the money in the couch and money from my birthday cards. I've been eating old fruit in the fridge and plain bread and canned stuff in the back of my pantry and I'm 100% I'm out of food in the house. In the past 4 days I've eaten one bagel four tortillas two cups of ramen and 3 mandarin oranges and what I think was a peach or weird apple.
My mom and dad are living paycheck to paycheck and I'm not asking my kid siblings for money. I got denied for EBT. I really really dislike thieves and the idea of stealing but I'm worried I might have to start considering it.
How do I get food for one or maybe two weeks? I have some gas in my car and a computer. I have a functioning electric stove and microwave but no oven. Where should I go?
I'm in America, state of Connecticut btw.

Borrow money, if you can’t then sell something or earn some fast money, if you cannot ask your company to pay early, if you cannot forage or dumpster dive, if you cannot just starve for a while water is most important not food, if you cannot ask someone who works for the city or state etc.

my cheap calories
peanut butter, which I found out contains 'anti-nutrients', but twice the calories of meat even, and then with cinnamon, honey, and from a /fit/ thread on bulking though i haven't tried yet mixing chocolate chips
and spaghetti around 1$ and instead of tap water boiling with bottled water
I've heard about dumpster diving never tried it

hit up your local churches, often they do food pantry on a weekly or monthly basis. show up get some free groceries, when you get payed do the right thing and donate some food back to the church. for all the bullshit churches and christfags get they do more for the local communities than most

Food banks are around and often travel to schools where people line up. You can legally take dove in many areas. Hang out behind toco bell and check for wrong orders in the trash. Bum if you must. It is only a couple weeks. Bum from a guy at your new job. Don’t use a payday advance racket unless you are going to die.

Put that 180 in bitcoin and you can life off it for a month.

Seconded. Do NOT use a payday lender unless it's absolute last ditch. They're sketchy, interest rates are atomic, and their gambit is essentially getting you into a revolving door.

Charity and benefits are absolute last ditch efforts, just rather lend money or do something else if you can. Charity is on the same level as begging and benefits are on the same level as stealing, it’s just legal stealing but morally on the same trash tier. Don’t be a leech unless you have absolutely no choice.

Seconding food banks.
Also, ask for pauses on your bills if you have to. Most will let you defer a payment or two for a few weeks. That should help you get through to your next paycheque.
