I care about my girlfriend deeply, but we have very different values and definitions of what a good night looks like.I prefer calm, quality time together, while she enjoys clubbing and nightlife with her friends. Earlier in our relationship, we talked about how clubbing made me uncomfortable and she agreed to stop, but over time she started going again and I tried to be okay with it since it was something she really wanted to do. Recently, she left a night we were spending together to join her friends at a club, and it brought back all the original hurt. I feel like I’ve been bending my own boundaries just to avoid conflict, and now I’m carrying resentment while she feels restricted. I don't think going clubbing is something someone in a committed relationship should do. If I was there I'd be less of an issue for me, but I don't want to go clubbing. I’m trying to figure out if staying means losing parts of myself, or if breaking up is the healthier long-term choice

Talk to her friends, and ask them if she if getting flirty with guys at the club.

I don't think she flirting or even accepting other guys advances and that's only a part of my concern. I just don't think the environment of being in the club is something that I want to be a part of our relationship. Last time she went she was saying how there were so many fights breaking out and the cops were outside. I guess part of it is I want to be there to protect her, but I can't bring myself to go with her since I don't want to encourage it more.

A woman only goes to parties and nightclubs to enjoy male attention; every guy there is trying to hook up. Whether or not your girlfriend is cheating physically, fucking guys in the parking lot, bathroom, or going back to their house is unknown BUT HIGHLY PROBABLE.

It's just like when a woman has A LOT of male friends that she hangs out with; big red flag when she's in a relationship. She's always out with her friends - that means you have a low priority in her life.

Dropping you to join her friends - you're in denial or just naive if you think she's going to a club to enjoy an innocent drink with her friends. She's bored with you and stroking her own Ego with endless, relentless male attention from guys in the bar buying her drinks and asking her to dance.

There's zero doubt that out of the hundreds of guys who attend such venues hoping to hook up that AT LEAST ONE MAN will be smooth enough, handsome enough, and persistent enough to overcome her "token" objections of having a boyfriend or whatever.

OPPORTUNITY IS THE GREATEST PREDICTOR OF INFIDELITY THAT EXISTS!! And what does a social venue represent if NOT multiple opportunities?

You're in denial. I won't be here when you enter the bargaining phase. But you should definitely make living arrangements if you're name is not on the lease - cause this woman is actively searching for your replacement.

There's a very apparent lack of compatibility here. It's only natural to want your significant other to enjoy the things you enjoy. She would have said many times she wants you to join her and likely feels disappointed that you don't.
When you consider that longing, and recognise that she's in an environment literally full of suiters who would quite willingly fill that spot, that's where issues arise.
Even assuming she's on her best behaviour, it only takes one moment of vulnerability before mistakes are made.

Your choices:
1. Join her on occasion. Fill that absence.
2. Be totally honest and break up with her. You just can't bring yourself to feel comfortable with it, and recognise that it's not fair to make her stop doing what she enjoys

Not nice, anon.
>>

She has invited me to go out plenty of times, but I just don't want to go and I feel like part of it is me just sticking to my position and being more stubborn because I don't want to make it seem like I've been okay with it.

Don't listen this chud.

If I were you I'd learn how to enjoy going to clubs. If I were her I'd dump you.
I'm a shut-in NEET generally but even I understand the value of socializing and going out and having fun in the crowd.
Sounds like a shitty club if fights are breaking out all the time but still, you should give yourself the opportunity to actually develop some social skills, learn to dress up and be comfortable in different situations. One day you might have to hang out at bars or something fit in at work or with new friends.
It's not healthy how you want to socially isolate your girlfriend. People don't just to go clubs to get laid, women especially like to dress up and go out and take in varied atmospheres.

hey same, mine cucked me with a guy she met at a club for 6 months before I found out. Never wanted to go with her in the first place.

A nightclub is a social venue for casual hookups; the act of taking your girlfriend there is entirely opposed to the purpose of the location - unless your girlfriend is looking for a woman to jump into bed with her and yourself. Then it would be a benefit and advantage to take her there.

In OP's situation, he's being emasculated by a rebellious woman who is likely using him for whatever he can "provide" in the meantime; all while openly displaying behavior that indicates that she is bored in the relationship (if he even has a girlfriend at all - the more he speaks, the less I believe this story).

Nightclubs, house parties, bars, concerts, and other social venues are places where women EXPECT to be approached and propositioned by men. They visit these establishments to validate their selves, feel wanted and desirable, and shop around for prospective sexual partners.

OP should go through her phone; even if he has to go so far as contacting the cellular service provider to enhance his security features to allow access to her device's messages and other activity.

There's no point in allowing a woman to use you as a man to prove to herself that she's better than you; which is exactly what she's doing whenever she drops you in the middle of the night to run off "with her friends" to suck a stranger's cock in a bar's bathroom ONLY TO FIND that her boyfriend is waiting ever so LOYAL and PATIENT back at home.

Have some fucking self-respect, guys. A woman that shows signs of dishonesty and disloyalty should be allowed to go her own way - sever your connection to her and let her indulge her animalistic desires. Otherwise, the relationship that you're hoping to save by being tolerant will erode away over time regardless and while doing so, you'll not only have the shame of being cheated but the double shame of also having her on a pedestal while she shits into your mouth.

Self-respect and boundaries are only real when they are enforced.

she's looking for another guy

Here's the meme, OP. Your gf will get to a point where she will ask herself, "Hey, if anon won't come and watch me drink and act retarded in a club, all these guys who are here will". Better yet, she will convince herself she will have more fun without you, and will eventually break up because to her you're a "stick in the mud". My gf did the same shit when I didn't want to hang out with her immature friends, but it's more embarrassing considering she is 27, and the friend group age is 20-21. Long story short I compromised because she was a sweet woman who cooked and cleaned for me. However, this didn't last long as women usually find new shit to complain about. Moral of the story get a new gf who shares your moral views from the get go to avoid this.

I've been there OP. Having a relationship with someone vastly different from your view on life is unsustainable imo. I've tried for almost 14 years to bridge the differences between me and my ex only to eventually leave after coming to the realisation that all the future planning we were doing was just me having a vision and her tagging along in words but never in deeds.

Spare yourself, break up.

This is a dumb take. A nightclub is a place people go to get maggoted with friends and listen to loud music. The alternative is to use someone's house which is inconvenient and sometimes impossible depending on your neighbours.

Hookups come with the territory but it's not why people use them

It's actually the most intelligent perspective on the issue presented in the entire thread. The logic is undeniable:

>opportunity is the greatest predictor of infidelity

Consider the opportunity that OP's girlfriend has available to her in a nightclub where her boyfriend is NOT in attendance. This is an opportunity for her to EXPERIENCE a "once in a lifetime romantic and/or sexual adventure that will NOT impact her primary relationship in any negative way." THAT IS A POWERFUL TEMPTATION.

>women are naturally dishonest and disloyal.

Every single hookup I've had was with married women or those who were living with a boyfriend. This pattern of cheating isn't even restricted to nightclubs; simply striking up a conversation with a female coworker can lead to sexual encounters. Lmao, the last company I worked for was staffed by a majority of women employees and they routinely fucked their male coworkers - so much so, that the front doors had to be kept locked to prevent jealous husbands/BFs from walking inside to start fights (some even had guns in hand).

>women in nightclubs dress sexy and dance provocatively

How the fuck are you guys going to ignore the behavioral cues that these women are presenting? Are you stupid? These are called "green light" signals and indicate that the woman is open and/or receptive to being "cold approached."

>men in nightclubs will try their best to fuck any attractive women there

I know from experience. I used to frequent these establishments up to three times each week; ladies night, discounts drinks night, and Saturday night. If the women were not "friendly," then these places would go out of business because they are basically the equivalent of a speed-dating event where any man can work the room, shooting his shot with women all night, until at least he gets lucky. IT'S A NUMBERS GAME.

AND if a woman's weakness is words, then eventually there's going to be a guy who knows how to talk her out of her clothes.
